If you hear that a couple got divorced, it means they ended their union legally.

The vital aspect of the union would have ended long before then, the end of this vital aspect led to the divorce itself. In fact, they would have been separated for a while in most cases and may have started seeing other people etcetera.

The social aspect of the marriage too would also have ended. Family members would have poked their eyes and noses into it, friends and loved ones, even pastors and so on would have done same.

It would have become obvious to everyone that the union is over. Divorce by then is just a formality!

Many couples live together for years without being vitally married.

They both know there is nothing between them but they will stay because it is the most convenient thing to do. Sometimes because of the children. Sometimes because of religion and obligations.

I have people who are legally married and not vitally married.

Many of the arranged marriages that some immigrants get into in the west are this way.

There is a document saying A and B are married but A and B don’t have any form of relationship whatsoever.

Marriages are killed by both partners.

One may be the main culprit but it takes two to kill it.

The moment either partner gives up on the union, it dies.

So sometimes a marriage would have died for many years and the divorce was just the funeral!

Do your best to keep your marriage alive. Make sure you give your

All.

Marriage was made for man and not man for marriage. Nobody goes to hell for the failure of their marriage.

There is no marriage in heaven, so it is purely a human affair.

Individuals in a marriage can be found guilty of wrong by God if they didn’t treat their partner with the dignity accorded to them by God.
