Indomitable

She was supposed to pray over her choice 
of a husband
Her mother sent her to the prophet
The prophet said he should bring 
three names
He would then select the right one for her 
out of the three
She has only one suitor
Was she supposed to manufacture two 
other names
She told the prophet as much
The prophet said if she insisted on bringing 
only one name, it means she has made up 
her own mind who she wanted, so why pray?
She really wanted to please her mother
She decided she would have to improvise
She picked the name of her maternal uncle
She picked the name of her paternal uncle
She picked the name of her suitor
She wrote the three on a piece of paper
She gave it to the prophet
The prophet started praying and convulsing
She was advised to buy some things
A candle, a bit of soap, a sponge, 
a set of crosses, a perfume
She had a cleansing bath
Then she was given some coconut 
The prophet prayed on them
The prophet led her to a T-junction
She prayed and smashed the coconut 
on the junction
When they got back to the church
The result was ready
The prophet picked her paternal uncle
She didn’t say a word
She just thanked him and left
When she got home, she gave her 
mother the result
Her mother was shocked
How could a prophet make such a 
monumental mistake?
Her mother called the prophet
Sir, are you sure the choice you made 
for my daughter was from God
The prophet explained further
He said as he was praying
A fire came from heaven and burnt 
the first picture to ashes
A flood came from the earth and carried 
away the second picture
But the third one was on a solid rock
He heard a voice clearly saying
“So and So” is the person ordained 
for “such and such” from heaven
His mother didn’t argue
Her mother told her to bring home 
her suitor
Her mother prayed for the two of them
Her mother sanctioned the wedding
They were married a year later
They settled down to a blissful life
Her mother stopped going to the 
prophet for consultation
The prophet didn’t know why
Her mother had been one of his 
staunchest supporters
Doling out cash and kind in exchange for 
spiritual counsel
The prophet had told her about 
impending dangers
She had paid hefty sums of money for the 
spiritual prescription he gave her to ward off evil
She even had to hang some “spiritual” stuff in her shop
She had lost faith in him completely
But he didn’t see it that way
He saw her mother as an ingrate
Someone he had been consulting for 
and saving from evil
Who had decided to poke the eyes of her 
do-gooder with a stick  
He went to her shop to tell her as much
He said “All the glory you have gotten 
through my ministration, I shall collect 
them and sink them in the miry clay if you 
do not repent and come back to me”
He was so angry
Hr mother got scared
She was already made before she was 
introduced to the prophet 
She had her shops all over Lagos selling 
fabric
It was because of the diabolic practices 
of her competitors that she decided not 
to sit idle
She cannot visit herbalists because 
she was a Christian
But visions and prophecies were not 
allowed in her church
Her pastor cannot wake up an unconscious 
cockroach
She had seen the power of God before
She had also seen a lot of evil perpetrated 
by evildoers
She was the daughter of an herbalist
For years as a young woman, she kept her 
father’s diary of charms
She knew how some wicked rings were made
She knew how some wicked charms were made
She knew how dreams were casted into human 
spirits in the dead of the night
Her father used to wake up all his children to 
eat special concoctions in the middle of the 
night for protection
She was not a novice when it comes to juju
Those days she was always praying for a 
way out
A way of escaping the life her father and the 
people around her were living
She had seen someone stick a pin in another 
person’s urine because the person urinated 
in the wrong place
The unfortunate person couldn’t urinate 
again for several days until they came to 
appease the person behind whose house, 
he urinated
She had seen a pretty girl hypnotized so 
deeply, she had delivered her fifth child 
for a sixty-year-old man before she came 
to her senses
She knew the world was a battle
Her day of liberation was the very day 
she got married
Her husband was from a deep Christian family
Her own father practices another religion
The religion gave room for the practice 
of juju
Christianity forbade such totally
She was happy to become a Christian
She didn’t have any form of fortification 
but she was far away from evil deeds and 
evildoers
Until her business started thriving and 
competitors started springing up
She was attacked twice health wise
It was her father, whom she had shunned 
for years that saved her from the attack of 
the wicked ones with his juju
She loathed the fact that as a Christian 
there was no deliverance for her
After the second attack
Her father told her he would have to make 
incisions for her and her family
The incision would prevent evil from 
coming near them
Whosoever would dare to attack them would 
pay the ultimate price immediately
The side effect of the juju is that nobody 
would also dare think of doing good unto 
them
They would have to live without both the 
darkness and the sunshine all the days of 
their lives
She said NO
That was when a friend suggested the 
prophet to her
He was using the name of Jesus
He was conducting church services
He was into fetish stuff
But it was better than being a sitting duck 
for the enemies to attack
She was tired of being a free target
She opted to go with the prophet!
Truth be told, the prophet’s stuff worked
At least she had not been spiritually 
attacked since she came to know him
She had been healthy
Every time she sees him, he would have 
provided something else for her
She became a preemptive striker
No longer docile and easy to manipulate 
by the works of darkness
But the prophet really missed the goal 
post concerning her daughter’s wedding
She was heavily disappointed
She wanted to cut him off for just a while
To express her displeasure
But she found herself unwilling to forget 
about the whole episode
Her spirit just didn’t want the relationship 
anymore
If not for the fact that she hadn’t found a 
better substitute
She would have totally locked him out 
of life 
The day he came around she was in 
good spirit
But his tone and language towards her 
was menacing
It was as if he was attributing all she was 
to himself and his deeds
It was way too much
He practically told her she would become 
piss poor
Who does he think he was?
She had been in fabrics business for 
over twenty years
She met him not quite five years before then
She called her daughter and told her
This was what happened today
I am confused, I don’t know what to do
Her daughter was a follower of the brother 
in Jeans and T-shirt’s stories on twitter
Her brother reached out
Can my mummy speak with the brother in 
Jeans and T-shirt?
The brother in Jeans and T-shirt spoke 
with her mother
He sent her some scriptures
Then he prayed with her until she received 
the Holy Ghost
She started praying in the spirit 
She started growing
She would call him once a week and they 
would read the scripture together and pray 
for one hour
She grew steadily
One month later, the prophet sent her 
friend to her
Her friend told her the prophet said all her 
shops and investments would be erased 
within a week if she does not turn from 
her ungrateful ways
Her friend pleaded with her to give unto 
Caesar
She called the brother in Jeans and T-shirt
He laughed
He told her he would not pray
He said “Mummy, pray by yourself! 
Let me show you how powerful you are now”
She prayed
She said “No weapon fashioned against 
her shall prosper”
She condemned every mouth that speaks any 
negative word against her destiny
She broke out in tongues
The brother in Jeans and T-shirt listened to 
her at the other end of the phone
When she simmered down
He told her she shall see what God had 
done with her!
That night she dreamt
She saw her name in a bottle on the 
altar of the prophet
Her dull name with three crosses around it
A thread was used to wrap her name tightly 
A cork was used to fasten it
She saw the prophet walk in
Pick up the bottle, say some words and 
shout “Fire, Fire, Fire”
Immediately, the prophet’s altar clothes 
caught fire
Then the wood
Then the flower vases and the flowers
He ran outside to get some water
By the time he returned
The whole church was on fire
Funny enough, she was in the middle 
of the church
She was neither scared of the fire nor 
singed by it
She walked out comfortably once the place 
had been burnt down
She woke up!
She fell on her knees and thanked God 
for his miracle
She had seen who she was now…
Untouchable!
“But now, this is what the Lord says—
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; 
you are mine.
2When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
3For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
Cush a and Seba in your stead.
4Since you are precious and honored
 in my sight,
and because I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
nations in exchange for your life.”

Two weeks later, her friend came to 
tell her the news
The Prophet’s church had been totally 
burnt down
Including his residence which was 
built behind the church
The prophet and his family are homeless 
at the moment
They really need help
She called the brother in Jeans and
 T-shirt immediately
She now knows she is no longer a 
powerless, docile, helpless Christian
She has the power that overcame 
the world
She is Indomitable!
