Your Words Directs The Course Of Your Life
... for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me (Hebrews 13:5-6).
Proverbs 6:2 says, "Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth."
This scripture underscores the precarious situations many have found themselves in today. They've been taken captive by their negative confessions; bound by their words.
However, if you've been taught right, you'll think right, and the result of that is, you'll talk right. Moreover, when you talk right, you'll act right. When you talk right and act right, your life will turn out right.
Our confessions rule us. When it comes to words, there's no such thing as "I actually didn't mean it." Jesus didn't say, "You shall have what you mean," He said, you shall have what you say (Mark 11:23). When you joke, don't joke against the Word. Consciously speak in consonance with the Word always—over your life, finances, business, health, etc.
Proverbs 18:20 says, "A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled." Here, the scripture isn't talking about how big your lips are. It's talking about the words of wisdom pouring out of your mouth. If you're not going to live a hungry life, then you're advised to speak the right words. If you don't want to be broke, then talk the right kind of talk—the God talk!
Proverbs 18:21 tells us, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." This means you can speak life and reap a harvest of good things. Whatever you believe and voice out with your mouth is what's going to happen in your life. This is a law of the spirit, and it works, whether or not you believe it.
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32).
The Word of God gives you much more than a moral code of conduct; it builds, lifts, transforms you and catapults you to your inheritance and destiny in Christ. Proverbs 11:9 tells us that through knowledge—revelation knowledge of God’s Word—shall the just be delivered into their inheritance.
Thus, you have to know the Word, store it in you, and consciously put it to work in your life. That’s your guarantee of a life of ever-increasing glory. The Bible says, “…All things are yours” (1 Corinthians 3:21); that means there’s nothing you require today that hasn’t already been made available to you by God through the Word.
This is one reason you must meditate on the Word. Become voracious in your passion, hunger, and appetite for the Word. There’s no way of appropriating the blessings of God to your life without the accurate knowledge of the Word. We triumph by the Word. We reign in life through the Word. We win, excel, and prevail over the challenges of life through and with the Word.
The more you study and meditate on the Word, the more inspired and excited you get about life in Christ. The knowledge of God’s Word gives you an undeniable conviction about the transcendent life of victory, righteousness, success, and dominion that Christ has brought to us! Your victory is in the Word of God, so study it to know it, for only through the knowledge will you discover and enjoy your glorious inheritance in Christ.
Study the Word for what it does in your spirit. The Word in you goes into your spirit, soul, and body, and becomes part of your being, making you what it talks about. When you ingest and digest the Word, it becomes one with your spirit, thereby enhancing and improving the quality of your personality.
Bombard your mind with the Word of God until it completely inundates your thinking, and your life will go in one direction only: upward and forward!
When you say,” You know, I’m from a poor family. I’m poor, I’m nothing. I’m just an ordinary man.”They’ll say it’s true. They like it because they rate you based on what they see. Yet, if you come and say,” Hey!! Hello!!,” first, the sound of that voice would disturb them because poor men don’t talk positively. They always complain.
The life that is in you has no colour. This is the thing that is shaking the world. A lot of them are wondering about some of us. I’m talking about Africans, Asians, Americans, and so on. They are looking at us suspiciously and wonder, why do they talk the way they do?
We found out! We found out that the colour of the skin has nothing to do with your nature. We found out that anybody could be anything with this. Jesus said it, and Jesus never lied to anybody. He was telling the truth.
Anybody can use their tongue and get out of trouble. It doesn’t matter whether you were born in a hut. It has nothing to do with it.
Every day you look at yourself in the mirror and say,” Father, in the name of Jesus, I refuse to be poor. I will not live the down life. I’m going somewhere.”Talk to the guy on the other side of the mirror.
Don’t say nobody knows tomorrow. Your tomorrow is assured. You should know it. It is assured.
John 16:13-Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
The Holy Spirit will show you the things to come tomorrow. If you haven’t seen, listen to him. Then, if you still haven’t heard, listen hard. Then, even if you haven’t heard anything, stop everything you are doing and give your full attention to Him. With all that you have got.All your heart, your whole mind, and your whole body. Get into a remote area or get to your room and shut the doors and windows. Just you, your Bible, and the Holy Spirit.
Stop thinking about the food, rent, homework, laundry, gardening, or your work for tomorrow.
You don’t care if you miss work tomorrow, whether the landlord is coming to collect the rent, whether you are getting so hungry and you’ll die of hunger, whether your boss is going to fire you-you don’t care! Until you hear His voice, you are not getting up. Nothing but Him and Him only. Begin to talk to Him through the Bible. Praise Him for His mighty works. Thank Him for all He’s given you.Thank Him for the glorious salvation and the liberty you are experiencing.
Then speak in tongues. Listen very carefully inside your heart. Wait till you hear His voice. Then every once in a whiletalk to Him.Thank Him for the life and revelation that He has given you….
