Talk Your Way Out Of Trouble
Even so the tongue is a little member; and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! (James 3:5)
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God (1 Corinthians 2:12).
God expects us to prophecy-talk our way out of any negative situation, rather than wait for him to do something. That's why He said, "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy.”
This is the reason you must fill your heart with the Word, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34). When your heart is saturated with the word, right in the midst of trouble, the Word will well up in you and burst forth through your mouth! It doesn't matter how dire the challenge you're confronted with might seem, you can talk your way out of it.
This was what the Lord told Ezekiel to do in the valley of dry bones: "And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD." (Ezekiel 37:3-4)
Ezekiel found himself in a valley full of dry bones and the Lord asked him, "Can these bones live?" That was an impossible situation, but God told Ezekiel to "prophecy to the bones." As soon as Ezekiel complied, a great miracle took place: "... and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone" (Ezekiel 37:7)
The challenges you face are bread for you; refuse to let them drown your faith. No matter how dry the valley may seem, you can talk your way out of it- you can prophecy your way out of any predicament. Keep talking your health, success, prosperity and victory. You can talk your way out of any trouble into the good life God has ordained for you.
(Acts 2:17). To prophecy means to speak words of power. Meaning you can prophecy your way to the top; you can prophecy your way out of trouble, into the good life!
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).
Your mouth is your instrument to chart your course through life; it’s not just for eating and drinking. There’re people in hospitals who, as a result of sickness, are drip-fed through their veins. So even though it’s convenient to use the mouth for food, its greater function is for talking; using the power of words for creating your victorious life.
Salvation has already been made available in Christ Jesus. Titus 2:11 says, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.” However, to catapult yourself into the realms of glory—where you enjoy the benefits of salvation—you must use your mouth rightly, for with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. This is the reason some people, even though they’ve been Christians for long, have never really enjoyed the benefits of Christianity. They haven’t acted on the Word. You’re to make confessions of the Word; that means speak the same things that God has said concerning you in His Word. That is what takes you beyond salvation, to enjoying the benefits of salvation.
You ought to always make confessions about yourself on the basis of the Word of God that you’ve believed. Until you make those confessions, your believing won’t produce results. Your believing and your confessions must go together. 2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.”
Those whose confessions are at variance with what they believe experience lots of ups and downs in life; no consistent victories. This is because as the Word says, a fountain doesn’t produce sweet water and bitter water at the same time (James 3:11). Speak the Word only, and always, for a life of consistent victory and excellence.
One of the reasons the Holy Spirit came into your life is to help you know the things of God and make you conscious of what God has freely given to you. 1 Corinthians 2:11-13 explains this with striking clarity. It says, “…the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”

Now, notice something absolutely remarkable in the 12th and 13th verses. There’re those who criticise Christians for speaking or confessing the Word, especially when it concerns prosperity, health, victory, or dominion in Christ. But their problem is ignorance of the Word. There’re only two directions: if you’re not proclaiming prosperity and health then you’ve endorsed lack and sickness. There’s no middle ground.
3 John 1:2 proves that God is interested in your complete prosperity: your material prosperity, and the prosperity of your soul: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” Not only does the Holy Spirit reveal these and other amazing truths of your heritage and identity in Christ to you, He also teaches you to speak them.

Christianity is for talkers. If you don’t speak what God has given you, you’re not practising Christianity as revealed in Scripture. We talk our inheritance. We declare our identity. We profess our heritage. We boldly declare what we have and who we are in Christ. That’s the victory principle—saying what God has said: “…he hath said…So that we may boldly say…” (Hebrews 13:5-6).
As you keep saying what God has said, the realities of the Kingdom are manifested in your life. Therefore, declare your victory. Affirm your dominion. Speak your prosperity and health. Speak the Word boldly and watch your life go from glory to glory. Hallelujah!
