Feast of Glory
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3).
The Christian is called into a life of glory and excellence. He’s the fruit of Christ’s suffering. The Bible talks about the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow (1 Peter 1:11). You’re the glory he foresaw, for which He endured the Cross and despised the shame (Hebrews 12:2). You’re the glorious result of His suffering.
Jesus Christ is the effulgence of the Father’s glory; the express image of His Person (Hebrews 1:3). And that’s exactly what He’s made you, for the Bible says as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). He said, “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one” (John 17:22). Live with this consciousness every day! 2 Corinthians 3:18 explains it some more. It lets us know that the Word of God is a mirror: “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
A mirror reflects whatever is set before it. If you stood in front of a mirror, you’d see your own reflection. The Word of God is a mirror, and the image of you that it reflects is “the glory of God”; that’s who you really are! You’ve been glorified with Jesus. You have His life and His righteousness now, with the same Holy Spirit who raised Him from death, at work in you.
This is huge! God chose you to show forth his praises and manifest his glory in the earth: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9).
As Christians, we’re the fruit of Christ’s suffering. The Bible talks about the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should be revealed (1 Peter 1:11); we’re that glory; we’re His trophies. We’re the glory Jesus saw that made Him endure the cross and despise the shame (Hebrews 12:2). You’re the glory of God. No wonder the Bible declares that glorious things are spoken of you (Psalm 87:3).
Not only have you been brought into the glory of God, you’re the glory of God. This is not just to excite you, but to let you know who you are as a child of God. You’ve been called into the life of glory! The glory is yours. See yourself in the glory; see yourself before the glory; see yourself walking in the glory; see yourself carrying the glory; see yourself as the glory! The Bible says, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18).
The Spirit of God is letting you know that the Word of God is your mirror. As you study the Word, you’re looking at yourself in the mirror of God, and the image of you that you see is actually the glory of God, meaning that your name is ‘the glory of God.’ What a confession; to get to know and declare that you’re the Glory of God! It’ll change the springs in your steps. We are that glory; we’re His trophies. Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee (Isaiah 60:1-2).
When, as a Christian, it seems like you’re under pressure at work, or there’s an unpleasant doctor’s report regarding your health, or your bank account is in red, don’t cry; don’t complain. Don’t fret or become despondent. Rather, get into your closet, and contemplate the glory of God. If it’s a financial challenge, declare that you’re the seed of Abraham. Abraham’s seed can’t be broke or poor! You’re the possessor of all things because you’re an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ. Times of challenges aren’t times for you to run helter-skelter, seeking help from man, no; trust in the Lord! He’s your help.
If you have a financial need, for example, declare, “I have all the money I require in the Name of Jesus; it comes to me by free course.” Make the declaration with faith, boldness, and confidence, and it’ll be according to your word! Let nothing make you fret. You’re called to manifest the glory of God. Despite the darkness and hardship in today’s world, you’re more than a conqueror. You’re a victor in Christ Jesus. You can never be disadvantaged. Christ in you is the hope of glory. See yourself in the glory. See yourself walking in the glory, carrying and manifesting the glory of God in your academics, your job, health, family, finances, etc. See the glory in your life. Right after the sufferings of Christ, a life of glory ensued! He suffered so that you’d live in the glory. Therefore, live and walk in the light of your righteousness, victory, success, dominion, health, and prosperity in Christ Jesus, and say “no” to defeat, failure, weakness, and down life.
Join us today at 6 pm as we Feast together as Glories in the midst of Glory! Many believers still live a life of shame, doom, gloom, and darkness, their stories are full of bitterness and pain. They still have experiences that do not mirror the realities we have in Christ. They wonder why things seem to get harder and more difficult for them rather than easier as they walk in the light.
The first issue is with the mindset, they believe they are under siege they believe one enemy or the other has stolen their glory, they believe they must battle and war to recover it so they go to haberdasher pastors who are untaught and unlearned in the truth of the reality of the kingdom who give them spiritual exercises like fasting and praying, deliverance, seed sowing, mountain climbing and hiking, holy water buying and other ignorance-affirming responsibilities in the name of helping them to break out of their stagnancy or spiritual redundancy.
My people perish for lack of KNOWLEDGE! Ephesians 5: 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth).
10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light.
We will teach His glories how to walk in the light and stay under the full illumination of his eternal light until they become as they truly are in Him; A glorious light.
