The Contractor

For a long time, I used to wait for 
pastors and people that I thought 
could hear from God to talk to me. 
I thought hearing was for those 
who were in a certain level and I 
was not there. 
I will go to then for prayers and wait 
for what God tells them then act based 
on it.
At the point where I had the toughest 
storm and it looked like I was drowning 
and my life was over, I did not know 
what to do. I could not hear God and 
there were too many voices. 
I did listen to some from time to time. 
Made a much bigger mess of things, 
stepped back and reflected
Then a lot of people came trying to 
help with their pastors. 
"Come talk to my pastor". 
"Come for vigil". 
I was lost and desperate 
I would go for a vigil, prayers and all that. 
Three pastors will say three different things. 
Weird habit and all of that. 
I wondered how? 
I just wanted peace
Today i had peace, tomorrow I was 
swimming in depression again. 
I read Bible passages, fasted for days... 
But the solution i got was temporary. 
I remember when I started attending 
@pssbcnigeria after reading 
@GbengaWemimo stories. 
I felt like I wanted a change.
A solution to my problem. 
I wanted to be on top of the storm. 
I read stories that I thought were 
similar to mine nd I thought YES! 
This is it. 
The first scripture he advised I read, 
I thought "hanhan, this uncle does 
not know that I know Jesus" 
Why am I reading the book of John
The joke was on me. 
Classes started and I started to learn. 
Before long, my purpose shifted. 
I wanted more than a solution to 
my problem. 
I wanted all of God. 
I felt the Holy Spirit. 
I started to know him. 
Started to get impressions in my heart. 
Ahhh!!! Even me???
Then I started to minister what the 
Holy spirit said to other people on 
our prayer platform after BVro Gbenga 
charged us to. 
Then we started to pray for people. 
Then testimonies started rolling in. 
The first time I told myself 
"Bro Gbenga probably prayed for 
him too. It cannot be you"
The Holy Spirit started to let me know 
that with him, I could do all things. 
I am still learning and growing in the 
things of the Spirit. But I have come 
to know that God does not require 
you to have any special calling or collar. 
As you are, God is interested in you. 
So now, we stand exercising the authority 
God placed in us and I wonder every time 
How?? 
Everyone who is a Child of God can hear 
from him and is a change agent. 
Authority over everything has been 
given to you. Kindly exercise it.
We have been made to do even greater 
works than Jesus did. 
Read your Bible, pray in the spirit, do this 
every day. 
Get acquainted with God. 
You cannot claim to have a personal 
relationship by praying only during 
bed times. 

Start to learn about and model Jesus..

The Contractor

Young lady calls me. 

Me: Hello Sister: My name is ... 
and Brother ... gave me your number. 
Me: Oh! Nice to meet you. 
Sister: I would like you to pray 
regarding an issue that has been 
bothering me. 
Me: I’m listening. 
Sister: I have someone I’m dating...
And I want to know if it’s God’s will. 
Me: Nice. It’s important we pray 
over all relationships especially a 
life-changing one. 
Sister: Thank you. So should I give you 
the name so you can inquire? 
Me: Which name? 
Sister: The name of the man. 
I want you to consult God.
Me: Dear Sister, I’m happy you reached 
out but when it comes to such decisions, 
it’s important you hear from God 
personally. 
Sister: Hmmm... 
Me: Are you Born Again? 
Sister: Yes. Me: Lovely. 
Do you speak in tongues? 
Sister: No. Me: Would you like to? 
Sister: No.
Me: Why?! 
Sister: Why bother when there 
are people like you who hear from God?! 
Me: I appreciate your honesty but I’m 
not that kind of Christian. 
Don’t you know many people have 
been led astray because they don’t 
hear God personally?! 
Sister: You won’t lead me astray.
Me: I’m sorry but I would rather 
you hear from the Holy Spirit and I 
can guide you by Ministering the 
Baptism of the Holy Ghost. 
Sister: (interrupts) I said I don’t need it. 
I want you to do it for me and... 
Me: (interrupts) No. When you’re ready, 
let me know.
 I continued eating. 
Many people don’t want the labor but 
rather the result. 
They would rather pay for people to 
fast and pray for them. 
They are busy going to mountains seeking 
solution rather than growing in the Spirit.
If you’re a Prophet or Pastor who takes 
money to “hear” from God on behalf of 
an individual, I put it to you that you’re 
bringing destruction. 
Our Master never did this so where did 
you get it from? 
Remember, we shall give an account.
If you’re also a Believer who is seeking 
this, PLEASE STOP! 
Many have been led astray and are 
now in one strange reality. 
God isn’t far and He wants to be known. 
It can be taught.
