Kings Don't Beg

Kings Don't Beg

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth (Philippians 2:9-10). If as a Christian, you find that you’re always crying and begging God in prayer for your needs, you’re not living in the Name of Jesus.

We don’t beg in His Name. Don’t beg Him for your health or for anything. It’s a slap on His face. It’s like a child begging a responsible father for breakfast or dinner. He loves you more than that.

Do you think God doesn’t know that you have a pain in your body? You think He doesn’t know that you’ve been experiencing migraine headaches? Or that you’re behind in your bills? He’s aware. But He wants you to change things! You have a weapon, an instrument; the Name of Jesus! Use it to effect a change in your body, in your finances, and any other area of your life. You can tell yourself, “I’m not going into 2020 in this condition or situation; I demand and effect a change, in the Name of Jesus!”

“Wake up and be who I’ve made you; realize the power in my Name and use it to make your life ever glorious!” That’s what the Lord is saying to you, even now! Get rid of the pain and come out of that distressing situation. In His Name, you have a right to refuse anything that’s not of God in your life. Every sickness, disease and circumstance bow to that name.

It doesn’t matter what troubles you; you don’t need to cry for help; speak forth words in His Name, and you’ll be amazed at how quickly things will turn around in your favor. Practice using that Name and build your faith on it through the Word. It’s a lifestyle. You’ve got to grow in it. It’s an environment to live in. Use it for every area of your life. That’s what the Bible tells us: “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him” (Colossians 3:17). Hallelujah!

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father (Romans 8:15).

Your understanding and opinion of God, your relationship with Him, will certainly define how you pray. When your understanding is right, your prayer life will be filled with confidence, boldness and assurance. But when it’s skewed, prayer can become a struggle, filled with uncertainty, pleading and a sense of inadequacy.

Never approach God as though you’re a stranger trying to gain His attention. He’s your father. What kind of children does a father delight in? Not the ones who come crying and pleading for everything as though they have no place in the home. Relate to God as your gracious, loving and caring heavenly Father who seeks your best more than you could ever imagine or desire for yourself.

That’s the truth. He loves you more than you love yourself. Therefore, understand your place in Him and with Him. He said in Hebrews 4:16, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” What an invitation! He wants you to always approach Him with confidence, knowing that He delights in you.

The Bible says the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and His ears are open to their prayer (Psalm 34:15). He delights in you to do you good. He daily loads you with benefits (Psalm 68:19). Hallelujah! In Christ Jesus, you have direct access to the Father. You have unhindered, unlimited access; use it: “In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him” (Ephesians 3:12).

The slavish mentality has been taken away. Instead, you’ve been brought into sonship. When you beg, you’re not expressing humility but a lack of understanding of who you are. God doesn’t respond to that mentality. What He recognizes is the consciousness of sonship, the confidence that comes from knowing Him as your Father and functioning from that perspective. Praise God.

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth (Revelation 5:10).

Jesus said in Matthew 18:18 “Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Here, Jesus didn’t mean that as you bind something on earth, God does the same thing in heaven. No. He meant that when you bind something on earth, you’re making a decree, and that decree is upheld by God in heaven.

God has made us kings, (Revelation 5:10), and the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 8:4, “Where the word of a king is, there is power.” As God’s words carry and transmit power, your words also have in them creative ability to produce for you a harvest of what you say. Sadly, not many Christians have operated in this power; some have only been used to religious Christianity, where they beg God for everything.

You’re a king, and kings don’t beg; they make degrees. Job 22:28 says, “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee…” The reason you can make decrees or issue commands and have them established unto you is because you’re acting on the Word; you’re taking your place as God’s kings-priests, ordained to reign in the earth.

Quit crying or begging God to do something about your situation; decree the Word of God concerning that matter and effect a change. Take advantage of your office today; live as the king that you are; issue decrees and see them come to pass. Glory to God!
