The Third Dimension: Mastering the Depth of the Metaphysical

That you may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height - Apostle Paul

When it was revealed to us that a prophet had the ability to hear what was being discussed in the strategy room of the king of another nation and use the information to warn the king of his own country off the path of war and confrontation so much so that the king whose secrets were being leaked screamed in frustration that there must be a spy in his cabinet, did we assume this dimension of the Spirit was limited to just Elisha?

When it was revealed to us that Elijah the Prophet sat in his bedroom and saw Gehazi, his servant run after Naaman the Leper who was healed by the power of God to collect clothes and money and other gifts, did we suppose this gift was unique to only Elijah?

When Jesus saw Nathaniel and called him a man who had no guile (describing his blunt nature and character) without having met him before, did we assume the ability to do this was limited to Jesus alone?

When Jesus told his Peter his future (You will deny me three times before the cock crows twice) and (You will be bound in your hand and legs and taken where you don't want to go) did we think this ability was restricted to only Jesus?

What about Agabus and Apostle Paul, when Agabus told Paul he would be arrested if he went back to Jerusalem, was that a one-off meant for Agabus alone?

When Nebuchadnezzar had his famous dream and then told all his sorcerers and magicians to interpret the dream to him without revealing it to them, what did they say? They said what he had asked was not possible for anybody to do in heaven and on earth

They were right because they needed information to go into the realm of divination and attempt to decode the dream

Daniel didn't need the information, he turned to God and asked god to reveal to him the dream and the interpretation

That same night God opened Daniel's eyes to see everything. And Daniel was not a "Prophet" who was called by God

There was no record of God calling Daniel the way he called Jeremiah, Isaiah, Elijah, Elisha, and others

The Bible says Daniel was just a Hebrew boy who purposed in his heart not to defile himself with food offered to an idol, he prayed facing Jerusalem at certain times of the day and he trusted in his God completely

The secret of the Lord is with those who fear him - Psalm 25:14

So that we may know the secrets of God and decode the issues of life with this knowledge, we were all given the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is not just a clashing cymbal that makes noise through us whenever we are praying but is not involved in our daily lives

The Holy Spirit had specific duties he came to do in us but most of us don't even bother to give him the chance to express himself in us before we turn to our natural senses, carnal counsels or people's advice for guidance

This is why we don't have supernatural results

We cannot do things our way and expect to have His result

John 16: 7: But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 about sin because people do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. 12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”

You should not be full of the Holy Spirit and yet lack divine direction and guidance

It is like being equipped with GPS and still getting lost all the time or having Google map on your phone and getting lost all the time

This is possible but it won't be the fault of Google. It would be the fault of the person who has the map but does not know how to use it

The number of ridiculous things we believe as believers also work against us in working out our supernatural reality in Christ

A man or woman who is full of the Holy Spirit but is always talking about demons has a very big problem

It is like living in Nigeria and always talking about Antarctica

The obsession we have with demons and enemies in African Christianity is unhealthy, it betrays our backward state of mind, a defeatist mentality

We should be obsessed with the Holy Spirit, thinking about him, talking about him, talking to him, thinking of Him, meditating about him, meditating on him, loving up on him, and learning about him

We were given the Holy Spirit

This was what we were given

This is who we have and yet we keep poking our noses into demonic and occultic lies under the guise of, "We are not ignorant of the devices of the enemy!"

It is not a good thing to lack the ability to understand scriptures or misinterpret scriptures in such a way that you end up doing the opposite of what the scriptures intended

Jesus came to fulfil the law, meaning, he came to complete it

Yet many Christians interpreted this as they must follow the law because Jesus said he didn't come to destroy it but to fulfil it

When you graduate from the university, they give you a certificate in which they write "having fulfilled the requirements of so and so", which means you have completed it

If you don't fulfil those requirements, you will not graduate

The same scenario applies to the scripture in Matthew 11 "12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. It means, from the days of John the Baptist until Now (That moment when Jesus was revealed) The Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence and the violent takes it by force)

Many of my Christian folks take the "Till now" to mean "Till today, this moment, right now" Wow! The Kingdom of Heaven is no longer suffering any violence, Jesus has made access to the Kingdom of Heaven easy and open to all

John 3: 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

How is it that you will have Jesus and yet be quoting that the kingdom of heaven is suffering violence? The inability to divide the word of God as it ought to be divided has made many of us unable to walk in the reality of the power of the Holy Spirit as we ought to even though we are full of Him.

In 2015, I moved from an apartment in Ikosi-Ketu Lagos into another apartment about five minutes’ walk away

This new apartment was owned by an unbeliever

The apartment next door to us was a six-flat apartment and all the flats were occupied by unbelievers
There was even a mosque in the house

The apartment I moved into had four flats, the two flats upstairs were occupied by unbelievers and the two downstairs were occupied by myself and another Christian family

Next to our apartment was a bakery

This bakery is the local type where bread hawkers sleep at the bakery all night and okada riders came there to meet with them and do all sorts of things

The bakery was also littered with the bread hawker's children, mostly toddlers The very night I moved in, at about 12:30 AM, I heard a piercing cry of sorrow

One of the toddlers had died and the mother was wailing

At about 1 AM the same night, we heard another cry; another toddler had died and the mother started wailing in anguish

At 1:30 AM another toddler died, the mother also screamed in anguish and started wailing

Because I had just moved into the apartment, I was still trying to adjust to the new house and I was not sleeping yet

The piercing cry of these women energized me to start praying

I did not go out to meet them or see what was happening but I knew in my spirit that a work of evil was being carried out around me at that moment

I started praying in the spirit, pacing up and down my apartment, "casting and binding" as we were taught in the church then rebuking and sending back to sender

I didn't know any better. I just knew I had to pray and I prayed the way I saw others pray

In truth, I cannot say they had great results but when you don’t know better, you do worse

The next day, I was about to sleep when I heard another piercing cry at about 11 PM

Another toddler had died and the distraught mother was wailing

This time the Christian ladies in the bakery began to pray

They began to cast and bind and sing local Yoruba Christian folk warfare songs with claps attending

The noise was crazy

I am not blaming them; I know they were scared but that noise really disturbed the whole community because there was no electricity and everywhere was silent

Out of anger, I went to bed and used a pillow to cover my ears

There was only a fence between my apartment and their noise

The shrills were wrenching

I slept off somehow or felt I had slept off

Suddenly I heard a conversation from a female voice

She said, "We have to take the last three before these women get wise and take all their children away from the bakery. We were told to bring sixteen, we started with five last week and we have done four this week. let us do three more tonight and then we will do the last three tomorrow" Another one said, "Let us do everything tonight"

The first one said "It will be too suspicious and they may end up reaching for help and exposing us" Then I woke up

I knew the exact flat to my right where the conversation was coming from

I knew the three ladies speaking even though I had never met them before

I knew them and I knew what they looked like

I also knew instantly that they were witches

I was like "Wow, what did I just hear?" I didn't go to heaven

I was in my room and it was as if I was in the room with them and saw and heard their conversation so clearly, that I couldn't forget a word

The next morning, I went to the bakery, told them I was a pastor, and instructed the ladies who still had living toddlers to move their children out of the bakery immediately

They were too fearful not to obey

Within an hour, all the bread hawkers with living children had moved out with their children

I felt happy with myself that I had gotten information from the witches and thwarted their plans

It made me feel great but it also gave me a dilemma which was how to keep hearing their conversations so that I would keep thwarting their plans.

I decided I would no longer pray in my flat so that the prayer would not chase them away

I decided I would be asking the Holy Spirit silently to make me hear them and know what they were planning

It worked for about six weeks

I stopped praying aloud at home, I would pray in the Holy Ghost silently and ask the Lord to make me hear their plans so that I could relate them to people and "form" prophet

I didn't know it was not right to consort with such evil entities

Whenever I heard anything, I would turn it into a prayer point and share it in church

I would boldly tell church members that I got wind of the plans of the witches in the area

One day, about six weeks later, I got home from my office and I saw that the witches were packing out of their flat

Wow! I didn't confront them. I didn't win their souls

I didn't do the gospel

They moved that day and that was the last of my hearing from whatever was in that apartment

I remember asking the Holy Spirit why he took them away

He said, "You are listening to darkness thinking you can through it make your light shine brighter. I am saving you from untimely death."

I learned a lot from that experience

I can become privy to secrets of men, of other spirits, and God through the power of the Holy Spirit

When 2023 was coming to an end, a lady called me from Epe

Her husband gave her 17 million Naira to start a business

She wanted to know which business would profit her the most by December

I told her to buy rice and hold

She bought a bag for 29,000 and filled up five containers

By December she was selling them for a good profit

She asked me how I knew the price of rice would go up despite all the news that the new government would bring it down with subsidies and other palliatives

I told her I was privy to certain discussions between men by the Spirit that others don't have access to

These are the kinds of advantages we have as believers who are full of the Holy Spirit

It is why we were assured that we would not dash our feet against the stone or make any mistakes

When we are guided by the Holy Spirit, His angels are watching all over us

We are carriers of the fullness of God in our tabernacles

We must begin to think, act, behave, and speak in this light.

PS: Having knowledge of the depth of this dimension of the Spirit is of great advantage to the church of Jesus Christ

Enough of you running to pastors and prophets for spiritual guidance and getting deceived by men who can’t tell their right hand from their left and yet would tell you to bring this and that for your prayer to be answered.

You are full of the Holy Spirit, it is time for you to let your shine so that you bring glory to your Father who is in heaven and become a blessing to the body of Christ as is expected of you.
