When Lights Gather
Light is For Illumination and leadership. “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
1Clarity (synonyms: accuracy, brightness, certainty, directness, lucidity, precision, purity, simplicity) a. the quality of coherence and intelligibility; the quality of being easy to see or hear; the quality of being certain or definite.
Refinement (synonyms: clarification, cleaning, distillation, processing, and purification) is the process of removing impurities or unwanted elements from a substance; cultured elegance in behavior or manner. Sound Judgment (synonyms: flawless discernment, robust common sense, dependable perception, authoritative wisdom, well-grounded logic), competent or reliable ability to make considered decisions or come to sensible conclusions
The second function of light is that it gives leadership. The word ‘shine’ (Hebrew ‘zahar’) in Daniel 12:3 helps us further understand what leadership means here:
To admonish (synonyms: warn, reprove, scold, reprimand, chastise, advise, rebuke, chide, exhort) a. to warn or reprimand someone firmly; to advise or urge (someone) earnestly
To teach (synonyms: instruct, enlighten, illuminate, coach, train, discipline, indoctrinate) to cause (someone) to learn or understand something by example or experience.

4. To give guidance (synonyms: leadership, counsel, direction, supervision)
To give advice or information aimed at resolving a problem or difficulty, especially as given by someone in authority; to direct or have an influence on the course of action of (someone or something).
The man of God emphasized concerning light: Light leads and guides. (Matthew 2:1-2)
‘To teach all nations’ is to shine to all nations, admonish, and inspire. (Matthew 28:19)
The word is to build our character…
He gives us a picture of ourselves. His word is our guiding light. What a life. He makes His power available. Nothing can stop you if you use what He’s given you. The Holy Spirit guides us. Don’t let your life be an accident. Don’t live your life according to what befalls you. I’m not a victim of a country. Refuse to be a victim.
He’s chosen us. He’s predestinated us unto the adoption of children… Unto the right of adoption… The son of adoption. An authoritative placing… A place of heritage. Where you become an heir. The right of sonship. Beyond what your parents can give. You’ve got a new heritage. How could you be poor or limited? The limits have been taken away. I have a heritage in Christ Jesus.
It’s the Lord’s pleasure to do us well. It’s His pleasure to bless you. It makes no sense to convince or beg Him. To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (Ephesians 1:6 KJV). It’s to the exalted position of the glorified grace. He’s made us accepted in the beloved, In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence -Ephesians 1:7-8 KJV.
He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding – Ephesians 1:5-8 NIV.
That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will – Ephesians 1:10-11 KJV.
I’ve obtained an inheritance. Not trying to. Drop your carnal way of thinking. That’s what the Bible says.
You only allow the good, the acceptable, and perfect into your life. You’re the one in charge. You and heaven. You’re the extension of the kingdom of God.
Think differently.
Without renewing your mind, it won’t work. Replace the world’s thinking with the word of God. Stop the contra bounds like sickness and lack…
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will – Ephesians 1:11 KJV.
How does God think? Will he ask me, who asked me to live an expensive life? To become helpful to others. Even if you don’t have clothes in your body, you’re not poor. It’s got nothing to do with what you have or not. You’re not poor if you’re born again. You can get whatever you want.
For your needs, you don’t ask God; for your wants, you can ask. Imagine if you have three cars…you’ll know what to do with them. Open your mind. Nothing is too good for you… God is looking for a vent to bless others. Will you be one of them?
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid (Matthew 5:14).
The Lord Jesus made this powerful statement about you. He says to you the very thing He said about Himself when He said, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world” (John 9:5). You’re a city that’s set on a hill: to be a light in your world. Matthew 5:15 says, “Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.”
This lets you know your calling as a Christian. You’re called to light up the darkness. Psalm 74:20 says, “…the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty,” but you’re that light in a dark world.
Ephesians 5:13 tells us, “…all things that are reproved, are made manifest by the light: for whatever doth make manifest is light.” Light is that which makes manifest; light illuminates. You have a calling in this life to bring illumination to your world. 1 Thessalonians 5:5 says, “Ye are all children of light, and children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.” You can’t be different from your origin; the offspring of a dog will naturally be a dog, not a cat. Therefore, as a child of light, you’re light! You unveil God’s Word and reveal the things of the Spirit to the world.
You’re the light of your world, in much the same way as Jesus was the Light of the world. The Lord Jesus announced to the people: “I am the light of the world. If anyone follows me, he shall not walk in darkness, but he shall have the light of life” (John 8:12). That’s just how you are! As a student, you’re the light in your school.
As a businessperson, you’re the light of your industry. As a police officer, you’re the light of the service and community. As a soldier, you’re the light of the army. You’re the light in your workplace. Go ahead and light up your world! Let the love of Christ so shine through you that the world may see it and glorify God in you.
