From Death To Life
The powerful thing about the Word of God is my response. I have to say something that is consistent with what He says. So, Christianity is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God! That’s Faith.
1 John 5:13, These things I have written unto you that believe in the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe in the name of the Son of God.
He wants me to know that I have eternal life. Say ‘I have eternal life.’ Christianity begins with the resurrection, not His death. That is why we should confess that God has raised Him from the dead. This is the present truth; his death is an old truth, likewise every revelation of Jesus in the Old Testament.
All the names of God in the Old Testament cannot cast out the devil.
He said thou hast exalted thy name above thy word,’, and that word became flesh, Jesus! Only that name can cast out devils!
1 John 3:14, “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death”.
This is no speculation. It is something I know! He didn’t say we are going from death to life, but in the past tense.
Look at John 5:24, “Verily, verily I say unto you, he that heareth My Word and believeth in Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life.” Say this with me, ‘I have passed from death to life.’
This is important because I can’t live a life that is higher than my knowledge and revelation of the Word. That’s why there are many Christians who live the human life, and they believe it is normal.
Colossians 3:1-4, When Jesus was on the cross, he represented every man, not just Christians.
When he was raised, we were also raised with him. That is the legal part of salvation, but when I confess it, it becomes a vital reality. Verse 3 means that the human life with which I was born is dead. But verse 4 should make me understand why I am not Igbo, Hausa, Nigerian, or American but in Christ.
So I shouldn’t suffer what Igbos, Hausas, and Americans suffer due to their nature.
Look at Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me”. And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me, living by the faith of the Son of God (faith works by love) means…
“Jesus believes in me, I feel love, mercy, I hear his voice like the under on the sea, He’s the one that made my spirit alive, that gives me the courage to be what I must be.” ‘ He believed that if I would accept what he did for me, I would go home and trust in his love.
We were not told to grow into the image of Christ. Christianity is better enjoyed when lived than when preached. Jesus is the express image of God. 2 Corinthians 3:18, the Greek word is ‘optizomai’, which means seeing oneself in a mirror. Then, he calls what I am seeing the glory of God.
So, when I look at myself, instead of looking down, I should look in the mirror, and I am changed into the glory that I see. As I look, I realize that diabetes is gone, that eye problem is gone.
I am passed from time into timelessness, from age into agelessness, from death into life. This revelation is only revealed to the generation of the rapture! The bible says, as we are born of the image of the earthy, so let us also bear the image of the heavenly.
He says grace upon grace in John 1:16, And of His fullness have we all received, and grace for grace. And in Roman 1:16-17. For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believeth, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “The just shall live by faith.”
This is true because the men of old lived for such a long time, but later the length of man’s life was cut short because of sin. But Jesus has dealt with sin therefore we shouldn’t suffer its consequences. That means I can grow without aging.
The word says of Moses in the last chapter of Deuteronomy. Even Caleb at the age of 85! Some people say they are not so young anymore at 65 years. But I have been transferred into the ageless zone.
Even scientists are beginning to find that it is possible for man not to age, that man’s life has no expiry date, so they are looking for a way to deal with that. The bible says ‘If they shall drink any deadly thing they cannot be hurt’ which means that a Christian cannot be hurt.
Look at Leviticus 17:11, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul”, when I got born again and received the Holy Ghost, my life ceased to be by my blood.
Remember the spear that was thrust into Jesus’ body, blood and water gushed out, so he lost all his blood. But when he was risen, how was he alive? So, his life was not dependent on his blood. The word says, ‘If the spirit that raised Jesus… that same spirit shall vitalize your mortal body’.
