He didn’t know where the insecurity came from

He was good looking, well educated, brilliant and had a golden heart

His parents were very lovey-dovey

His father and mother didn’t have a perfect marriage

But they had what he can describe as “close to a perfect marriage”

Before his mother died at the age of 60

His father could never do anything without her

His Father, just two years older than his mother took the death badly

He could have died days after his wife passed on

But for the timely intervention of his children who noticed his sudden dip in health and rushed him to the hospital despite his protestations

He was tested and discovered to have a blood pressure that would have surely ended his life

He really missed his late wife

They had to relocate him abroad, to stay with his first child

He had always admired his parent’s relationship

He really wanted to be like his father

His father took time to teach the children on relationship and its values

His sisters were the best for it

They got the teaching so well and put it right into practice

It wasn’t as if their marriages didn’t have challenges

They had been adequately coached by their Father on how to be successful in their marriages

The same went for him too

His parents, especially his mother inculcated in him the values of a marriage

He learnt both the art of love and the science of love

He knew he was well groomed to be the perfect husband and to have the perfect home

He tried out three relationships before he met her

He knew the relationships would not lead to marriage

But his mother encouraged him to have those relationships

They were his practical classes

And he passed beautifully

Upon graduation he was handed the reigns of his Father’s company

His eldest brother had already settled abroad

His mother was battling a terminal illness and his father wanted to be by her side all the time

The company was into milling

He knew the business inside out

He became the managing director

Months later, his Mother died and a whole lot of things changed

His Father was relocated abroad

The company and its assets and every other property his parents had were shared to the children as gifts

He remained the managing director of the Mill

He missed his mother sorely

A year after she passed, he decided it was time to settle down

He met her the very next day

She was everything he had ever dreamt of in a woman

She was beautiful, classy, natural, polite, refined and hardworking

He did everything to earn her love and affection

The one thing he didn’t bargain for was how hard he fell in love with her

He was smashed to pieces by the feeling

It was so bad that if she said she was coming to see by 4pm

He would become anxious and restless by 3:45pm

He would be breathing very fast, his heart too would be racing

He often wondered how she had such a physical effect over him

He would do anything to please her

He loved her with everything

She loved him too

He knew it with the whole of his heart

Their relationship started normally

The only snag was her insistence on waiting for three years before getting married

He wanted the courtship to last only a year

He loved to play scrabble and Wordosaur

She didn’t really know how to play so he taught her

He made sure he played both games every evening before sleeping

She also started playing

She even downloaded the game on her phone

They both knew the password to each other’s phones

They had passwords on because internet security demands it

He was playing a game with her phone the day the problem started

A text message came into her phone

It was from a guy

It said “I liked what we did together today, I wish you didn’t have to share me with him. I look forward to the next meeting”

His head became heavy instantly

It was as if someone sledgehammered his brain

White matter and grey matter dissolved and flowed right out of his ears

A sudden chill took over his body

She was cheating!

The voice that said it was not his own

It spoke from the base of his skull

It was strong and heavy

He couldn’t even contemplate leaving her or asking for an explanation

What if he asked for an explanation and she used the pretext to call off the engagement?

He was stuck, in love, with a cheat!

Something changed for him that day

It wasn’t the sort of change he was proud of

He just couldn’t control his rage and his helplessness

He tried talking to her

She assured him over and over again

He started going through her phone

Drafts, sent, inbox, outbox, contact

He searched for the unseen until he convinced himself she was deleting the messages

She was just too smart

He checked the internet several times for “How to catch a cheating spouse”

He was sure of it

Even when she was right beside him

He would be thinking “Is her mind really here”

When they made love, he would be thinking “This is how that other guy does it”

The more he tried to be free

The deeper he found himself in the belly of the beast

If she went somewhere and returns late “She was doing it”

If she returned early “She didn’t meet the guy at home”

One day he asked her about the text message

She said it was sent by one of the guys she was paired with during their training session at work

The guy was of course being mischievous by wording the message like that

It was a bait guys used to test if a lady is available for a relationship

Her response would have determined if he would pursue or move on

She didn’t even respond

And the guy moved on

So why was he so worried about nothing

What she said made sense

The staff training, she was referring to was the type done for his own staff members at work

But it was too late

The thinking pattern had been set

He was set in that pattern forever

It came to head eventually

He overplayed his hands and she called it quits

He couldn’t bear it

He literally ran mad

He couldn’t bear to lose her

He couldn’t bear to fail without having started

He had assumed once they were married his mind would find rest

She was of the opinion that if he couldn’t trust her at that moment, he wouldn’t also be able to trust her when they were married

The craziest aspect of it all was how fast she distanced herself from him after she called it quits

He reeled out of control

Followed her everywhere, trying to convince her to come back to him

The more irrational he became, the more she proved her point

Eventually she got him arrested

He still didn’t come to his senses

Two days after he was bailed from the police station

As he was planning to buy a sim card and began to toast her anonymously via text messages

He met the brother in Jeans and T-shirt

The brother came to his mill to make inquiries about a product

The conversation between the brother in Jeans and T-shirt and his front desk officer required his attention

He told the front desk officer to show the brother in Jeans and T-shirt into his office

As soon as the Brother in Jeans and t-shirt sat down

He started babbling

He was in so much pain that he practically spilled his gut to a total stranger

The brother in Jeans and t-shirt listened attentively

The Holy Spirit is such a powerful being

He senses where pain is and helps the victim

He ministers to the need of every man regardless of religion

He is our comforter

The brother in Jeans and T-shirt told him he was being afflicted by a demon

He couldn’t believe it

Jealousy is a demon?

Brother in Jeans and T-shirt: A demon has capitalized upon your emotion and driving you to the brink

He: Wow

Brother in Jeans and T-shirt: Would you like to be free?

He: Yes, I will like to be free

Brother in Jeans and T-shirt told him to stand up and laid hands on his head

He commanded the demon of darkness to leave him

He fell into his chair!

Immediately, his grey and white matter returned to their position

The voice in his head disappeared

He was able to rationally process what had happened

He saw that he was in the wrong

He accepted what had happened and he was able to cope with the heartbreak

The brother in Jeans and T-shirt kept him company for many days

The brother in Jeans and Ts-shirt had explained to him that

There is an art of love and a science of love but the ultimate is the spirit of love

He lacked the spirit of love

The brother in Jeans and T-shirt led him to Christ

He got baptized in the Holy Spirit

He received the spirit of love

Eventually he was able to shine in the sunlight alight

He had always wanted to call her or meet with her and apologize for his conduct

He couldn’t even summon the courage

Until he heard she was getting married

He went to her wedding to do the needful

He needed to let her end the ugly tale of his relationship with her on a good note

Ps: Jealousy is not an asset

It is a very dangerous spirit

Several times in the bible it overlapped with envy in usage

It is true that God is a jealous God!

There are two things that exclusively belongs to God

Vengeance and Jealousy

To walk in either is to assume the position of God

It is only God that can be jealous without being selfish

Get rid of that jealousy today!
