Her mother broke the news to her 
at the age of six

You will be living with the priestess

She didn't understand it at the time
She was doused in chalk and camwood 
and reported at the shrine of the family 
deity every day!
She learnt how to grind substances make 
incantations, care for the idols, read omens 
and signs from local totems and runes
She was very good at it!
As she grew older, she came to despise it
Other children were going to school and 
learning to speak English
They also weirdly look at her, as if 
she was dirty and vile
She hated being different but was too 
powerless to help her situation
She longed desperately to escape
She eventually escaped at the age of thirteen
She saved enough money to run
very far from the village
She left the village for Lagos dressed in 
a stolen gown and a pair of slippers in 2003
When she got to the city, all she had on her
 was three thousand naira!
She knew no one!
It took her three days to find someone 
who spoke her dialect
The person was not exactly from her village
She told the person she was an orphan!
She said she wanted to work and needed 
a place to stay
She was referred to an agent who helped 
girls like her find housemaid jobs
She was placed in a home with a nice family
Her madam sent her to a public primary 
school and later to secondary school
In all she spent eight years with the family, 
helping them raise three children
The family relocated abroad when she 
was twenty-two
She went back to the agent
Work was hard to come by because 
of her age
Most people wouldn't employ a matured 
housemaid
She and some older girls like her 
decided to rent a room
She had some savings and opted to 
learn to sew clothes
Expectedly guys flocked around them
She fancied one and started dating him
Dating led to sex
Sex opened Pandorah's box
The guys she slept with never came back
They didn't just jilt her!!
They literally ran from her
Fear was written all over their faces 
whenever she saw them after sleeping 
with them
It was as if she was cursed
It happened over and over
Eventually, she went to see a spiritualist for 
consultation
She was told what she had always suspected
The deities had marked her as their own
Anybody that dared to sleep with her will be 
in serious danger
The deities would afflict such with venom 
both physically and spiritually
The spiritualist told her to return home and 
resume her duty as a priestess or she would 
only live her life as an harbinger of woe to 
anybody she slept with!
He said she should forget marriage and 
having children
He said she should forget making it in the city
"Just go home"
She could never consider that option!
She decided to see a man of God! 
Get delivered!
A friend took her to a church!
She saw the pastor
They talked
The pastor agreed to deliver her
He came to see her at home later
They did the deliverance
It was very thorough
He slept with her
She knew nothing about deliverance
He said he had to test if it worked by 
sleeping with her seven times...
And she had to pay him for each round
She felt it was reasonable
They agreed she would pay five thousand 
per round
He never got paid
He died the day after sleeping with her
His wife said he screamed from his sleep 
and bite marks suddenly covered his body 
before he slumped and died
She went to another church the following 
Sunday and gave her life to Christ
She was filled with the Holy Spirit and 
started speaking in tongues
She had become "born again"
For years she kept away from sex out of fear
She finished her sewing class and set up 
her own outfit
At 30, she met a man
He wanted to marry to her
But she was scared!
What if he died?
Was she really cured when she gave 
her life to Christ?
She had to be sure
She slept with him!
They did it on a Saturday afternoon in her room
He went home
She waited
One day, three weeks, no calls
She called him
"You got what you wanted and vanished right?"
She asked
He told her he had been in the hospital
Seven dogs attacked him on his way 
home the day he left her place
What!
She went to see him, to care for him
He was discharged
She followed him home
They had sex again
When they were done, 
right before her eyes, 
he started gasping thrashing 
and screaming
How he didn't die or why, 
she couldn't say
But he was in a coma for three 
days afterwards
That was when she reached out to the 
Brother in Jeans and T-shirt
"Old things did not pass away sir, 
my salvation made no difference! 
Was Jesus not powerful enough to 
save me from the deities?
How come my reality remained 
unchanged even after I had given 
my life to Christ!"
Christianity is not a religion!

and morality
For the spiritual, Christianity is the 
lifestyle of the Godkind!
You can fake it and teach others to 
fake it
Or you can actually have it and empower 
others with it
He told her so
This is not new

Believers speaking in tongues and still 
under the bondage of sin and demonic 
Influence
It shouldn't be!
Many religions speak in tongue! 
Even demons have tongues!
It is the Holy Spirit's anointing that 
makes the difference
They met and prayed!

They have a daughter!
