Topic: Occupying The Realm of Glory
Luke 2:8 Shepherds were in the fields near Bethlehem. They were taking turns watching their flock during the night. 9 An angel from the Lord suddenly appeared to them. The glory of the Lord filled the area with light, and they were terrified. 10 The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid! I have good news for you, a message that will fill everyone with joy.
Jesus Prays to Be Glorified
17 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 2 For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. 3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4 I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.
Jesus Prays for His Disciples
6 “I have revealed you[a] to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. 7 Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. 8 For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. 9 I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. 10 All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. 11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of[b] your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. 12 While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by[c] that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.
13 “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by[d] the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
Jesus Prays for All Believers
20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
25 “Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. 26 I have made you[e] known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
CHRIST IS THE REALM OF GLORY
The realm of Glory was not accessible to any man until Christ Came,
His birth was announced by angels from His realm, the realm of Glory!
The life that Christ lived, was a life of Glory
A life that continually modeled the intention and purpose of God to all men through all its outworking and reality
A life that lifted mankind from the cesspool of sin into the reality of
God
A life that banished sin and shame and gave unto all those who embrace it another kind of life, the glorified kind of life, the Zoe life, the God kind of life, the eternal life
In order to Occupy the realm of Glory, every believer must occupy Christ, because Christ is a place
In John 14:2-3 Jesus said “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” Many misinterpret this portion of Scripture to mean that when someone gives his life to Christ, God starts building a mansion for him (or her) in heaven. That’s not true. In the verse above, Jesus wasn’t talking about heaven. He was referring to our place in Christ.
There’re no mansions being built in heaven for anybody. The Bible says all the works in heaven and in the earth were finished from the foundations of the world (Hebrews 4:3).The angels aren’t building structures in heaven. Heaven is a beautiful place, and it has already been built. The place Jesus went to prepare for us is our place in the right hand of the Father, (The place of Glory he prayed for in John 17, which was confirmed that has been given to Him in Philipians 2) where we now sit with Him in the heavenly realms, far above all principalities and powers. That place is called Christ.
So, not only is Christ a Person but He is also a place. That’s what the Apostle Paul alludes to in the book of Colossians.
We are in Christ. We are wearing Christ, we are occupying Christ, we are living in Christ, we have our being in Christ, we are dwelling in Christ who is seated in His position of Glory at the right hand of the Father
We have been made to sit together with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6); that the place Jesus went to prepare for us and we are there now. You came into Christ when you were born again; it’s a heavenly realm called Zion, the city of the living God. That’s the city of our habitation: “But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels” (Hebrews 12:22).
This heavenly Jerusalem, Where Christ is the light is the realm of Glory.
This is our Home as believers
We are not going to live there some day, no! We are dwelling there now!
In Christ there’s no sin, sickness, disease, failure, poverty, defeat, weakness or death; all you have is health, joy peace, success, strength, prosperity, beauty and life forevermore! That’s your place of inheritance; it’s the place of divine authority and power, where you reign and rule over satan and the cohorts of darkness.
So when you say “I’m in Christ,” you ought to understand the import of that statement, for it means that’s where you live; your address is Christ! Therefore, view the world from there.
CHRIST IS OUR LIFE
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory (Colossians 3:4).
Romans 8:11 declares: “If the Spirit of Him that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He shall vitalise your mortal body.” The life of the human body is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11), but for the one who’s born again, his body is made alive by the Spirit. Thus, your life is from the Spirit. There’s an effect of the Holy Spirit’s presence in your physical body.
Jesus said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe…if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them…” (Mark 16:17-18). Why? It’s because we don’t live by blood; we live by the Holy Ghost! It’s incongruous with our true nature and identity for a Christian to be sick. That you feel a headache doesn’t mean you “have” it. But because many haven’t been taught right, they possess the headache because they feel it.
Another one says, “I have cancer,” because he was diagnosed with cancer. Yes, the doctors may have seen a growth somewhere in your body, but since Christ is in you, though your body be dead or ravaged by cancer, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness (Romans 8:10). Just the realisation—your consciousness that Christ is your life, and that He has already quickened your mortal body is enough. The Bible says Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).
How could you be sick when Christ lives in you? How could anything be wrong with your liver, heart, or kidney when Christ is your life? How could you fail, be defeated, or act foolishly when Christ, the embodiment and totality of wisdom, lives in you? It’s not possible! The trouble is that not too many are conscious of the life of Christ that’s in them.
For example, when Peter visited Aeneas, one of the believers in the early Church who was sick and paralyzed for eight years, he didn’t pray for him. All he said was, “Aeneas, Christ makes you well; rise and make your bed”; and that was it. The man rose up immediately (Acts 9:33-34). Become conscious that Christ lives in you; He’s your life, and He makes you well. Hallelujah! Walk in the dominion and power of His glory and righteousness in you.
YOu have Been Glorified in Christ
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified (Romans 8:30).
Jesus is all-powerful. But just like in the book of Hebrews that tells us about those who had the possibility of deliverance but rejected deliverance, that they might have a greater glory (Hebrews 11:35), Jesus accepted the death on the cross. He laid down His glory, and suffered for us. The Bible says He gave up everything for our sake (Philippians 2:7 CEV). Today in heaven, He's crowned with all glory and majesty. He's the glorified Christ.
Now, 1 John 4:17 tells us something profound. It says, as he (the glorified Jesus) is, so are we in this world. It doesn't say, as he was, so are we. Were as He is NOW!
Some believers go about crying that somebody has robbed them of their glory, or stolen their glory, or exchanged their glory, or turned their glory to shame, or buried their glory, or swallowed their glory
They write books about it and do vigils praying for the restoration of their glory
Such believers do not understand the glory of Christ!
A glory that appeared in a temple and the priests couldn't continue their duty 1 Kings 8:10-13
And it came to pass, when the priests came out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD. Then Solomon spoke:
“The LORD said He would dwell in the dark cloud. I have surely built You an exalted house, and a place for You to dwell in forever.”
A glory that appeared upon the mountain in the wilderness and occupied everywhere
Exodus 40:34-38
Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. Throughout all their journeys whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel would set out
How can any demonic force or satanic force manipulate the glory of a believer dwelling in this glory, living in the reality of this glory and
conscious of the outworking of this glory?
The truth is, ignorance is the reason many believers are not manifesting the reality of the realm of Glory where they have been
translated to after giving their lives to Christ
Christ is the second and last Adam, because He heads the new creation of which were a part. Hallelujah! So, youre not from the first Adam; you cant be traced to him. When youre in Christ, therere no records that trace you to the first Adam, because the Bible says, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
The Second Adam is from above, just like you, and He who is from above is above all!
You are above all in Christ
We are partakers, as well as bearers, of His glory. Jesus gave us the same glory that the Father gave to Him: And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one (John 17:22).
Today, you have become the very effulgence of Gods glory, just as Jesus is. The Bible says, ...He received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased (2 Peter 1:17).
Get to know about the invaluable treasure God has deposited within you and walk consciously in it every day
Christ has given you not just His life, His peace and His righteousness; He has also given you His excellent glory and you are occupying the realm of Glory in Him!
Confession
Dear Father, I worship you according to your Word and sing praises to you from my spirit. May your Name be glorified, praised, and adored in my life and in all the earth. I lift my hands to you right now, in holiness and fellowship of the Spirit. I worship and adore you; thank you for making me your dwelling place. I acknowledge your Spirit living in me, protecting, guiding, and leading me in your perfect will. Thank you for beautifying my life with the glory of your presence.
I am strong in faith and in the grace that’s in Christ Jesus. I speak victory, prosperity, health, strength, and courage always, for greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world. The Word of God has taken full possession and expression in me, through my spirit, soul, and body. Hallelujah! I am full of life! No sickness, disease, or infirmity can fasten itself to my body! Christ in me is the hope of glory, strength, and victory!
My mind is blessed; I have the mindset of the just. I’m positioned at all times to receive direction, inspiration, counsel, and wisdom from the Spirit of God! I’m yielded to the guidance of the Spirit; therefore, I walk in consistent victories and triumphs
Christ has brought me into the life of ever-increasing glory, I dwell in the realm of glory, glory is the outworking reality of my existence.
Everywhere I go, God’s glory is revealed and manifested through me. I am well positioned, and the Word of God is settled in my life! I am a child of the anointing, I am bringing forth good things today from within me! My capacity has increased, and I have treasures in me with which to bless my world. I grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The eyes of my understanding are enlightened, even as I walk in the centre of God’s will for me. I am full of life because I am born after the life-giving Spirit. I am a well-watered garden; there’s no infirmity in my body: no confusion in my spirit! As the Father had life in Himself, so had He given unto me to have life in me. There’s life in my words, there’s life in my hands, there’s life in my family, there’s life in my ministry, there’s life in my career, there’s life in my
finances; there’s life in all that concerns me. Hallelujah! My way is paved by the Lord, and nothing is permitted to happen to me by chance. I am a custodian of divine verities; I lack nothing! Everything that God has given unto me is sustained by the life of God in my spirit. Whatever comes in contact with me, comes in contact with life! Nothing is permitted to die within and around me because the indestructible life of God is at work in me and in my world.
The Lord God has bestowed on me favour and honour! My life is filled with the glory of God! His beauty, wisdom, grace, and righteousness are expressed in, and through me. I am a wonder to my world because the Lord has surrounded me with favor like a shield. I can never be disadvantaged; for all things are commanded to work together for my good. I am more than a
conqueror, a victor, and a success forever! Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the World. I am living in the morning of my life! I live a higher life, a life that is beyond this world. I am the blessed of the Lord! I am prosperous and sound, and I lack nothing, for all things are mine! God’s purpose is fulfilled in me, as I walk in His perfect will today and always! I am highly favored of God, and positioned by grace for the supernatural life!
I’m reigning in life as a king, exercising dominion over circumstances, taming the forces of nature and charting my course in victory! Everywhere I go, I manifest the glory and righteousness of God. My progress and advancement spread abroad, evident for all to see. Glory to God. Hallelujah!
