The storm started suddenly, without a warning
One minute they were a happy go lucky couple
and the line was falling unto them in pleasant places
The next they were in the middle of a ferocious wind
Neither of them asked for any trouble
They met at the National Private University Games
She was a table tennis player
He was a chess player
They met once or twice during the briefings
before they took off
They were travelling quite a distance 
from their school to the 
University hosting the games
It wasn't their first trips
They knew the games would be fun
Somehow they were seated beside each other
It wasn't the normal arrangement
For ease of planning, athletes in the same 
sports category were arranged to sit together
there were four chess players
Two male and two female
There were four table tennis players too
Two male and two female
Once they had been seated and the Coach was
satisfied all the athletes were on board
They started reshuffling by themselves
Babes wanted to sit  beside their guys
and vice-versa
The trip was a special "honeymoon" for some
athletes who are lovers
They get to be together and have an adventure
at the expense of the school!
All the athletes are paid daily allowances and
provided with accommodation and other perks!
Somehow they ended up together
The guy beside him went off to sit with his babe
and she was politely pushed to his side!
He really didn't mind
The last thing on his mind was talking to anybody
In the heat games, they had while preparing for the games
A guy came out of nowhere and trashed him five times
He didn't know what went wrong
He had been the best chess player in the school for two years
The guy was a freshman
The guy took him to the cleaners
He only made the trip because he took it out on 
the others
was chosen as second best
Only two male chess players made the trip and 
the others, especially the guy who had been in
partner and friend in the previous games was didn't
make the cut!
It irked him badly!
The freshman was cocky and carefree
They will have to work together and win medals
But he was unhappy a freshman could trash 
him that easily!
She slept off almost as soon as the journey began
They were in a Marco-polo luxurious bus
The seats were very comfortable and adjustable
And yet she still found the room to lean on him
as she slept!
Her perfume did the trick
He could almost feel himself licking her body
The perfume was so "allow me" in its statement!
So he allowed her
When she woke up, she apologised
He smiled and said " I think I have fallen in love with you"
She heard him clearly
Her eyes rolled in unbelief
He leaned into her and said "You leaned on me 
while you slept
and you made a perfect fit, I could feel my 
other bones
welcoming back their missing companion! 
My bones recognise you
my bones long for you! 
I just have to let you know!
She liked it! She liked him! She really did!
She had liked him from the day she saw him
in the cafeteria! He was watching the premier 
league with some of his friends and he was so relaxed
about it!
Her mother had always told her to measure a man by his
attitude when watching a football match!
If he was blinded and deafened by the match to  the
point where he couldn't be reached, he is bad for you!
It shows he has no control over his emotions!
But if he would stop and pay attention to you
regardless of who was scoring, winning or losing, 
you have found a man capable of giving you the world!
She watched his attitude that day and decided to 
put her mother's theory to test
She walked up to him and asked him if he was a 
student in her department
He was patient!
He saw her, he answered calmly and was very polite
And it was not because she was a girl
She could see that he wasn't interested in any woman
in a sexual way yet!
His eyes were focused on the right places!
She had wanted so much to get close to him since
that day
She knew it would happen
She knew he was her man even though he didn't 
have a clue!
Seating beside him on the bus was not so 
much of an accident
She didn't plan it but she somehow prayed for it
She sat beside him when they stopped for a 
meal somewhere along the way
When they resumed their journey and 
she wanted to sleep again
she removed the armrest between them, 
lifted up his right
hand and inserted herself into him, 
snuggling comfortably!
That was how their love journey began
They got on the bus as singles and alighted 
as a couple
He followed her to the hotel where the 
female athletes were lodged
Their hands interlocked with emotion
He kissed her right there
His first kiss at the age of 22
And she kissed him back, her first kiss at the age of 21
The relationship was very wonderful
measured, reasonable, wild sometimes and 
indescribable sometimes
When they fight, they will both cry like babies
He didn't know how to be macho and she didn't 
know how to pretend
They were real, open, sincere and true
They were planning their wedding long 
before they graduated
Her parents had a thriving business with branches 
all over the country
She had been a part of the business since she could talk
Getting a job was not a problem
His parents were university dons!
his Father was a Deputy Vice-chancellor
His mother was an egg head too! 
A United Nations researcher/consultant 
He took her home
His parents approved
She took him home
Her parents approved
Then his grandfather came to the house a few months 
to the wedding and said they cannot marry each other!
He said he had gone to check their fortunes and it was
discovered that she was a reincarnated being 
and had sworn
never to have children or to die once 
she had a baby!
His Father was never a serious Christian
He had always deferred to the wisdom of the elders
His Father said No!
His mother toed the line of his Father
But he knew leaving her was not only going to be a 
mistake, it would be the end of his life!
He was yin, she was yang
The love they shared was not physical, it was ethereal
He told her everything
She took him to her parents, told them what 
was going on
Her parents were Born Again Christians
They felt it was a bunch of rubbish
But they also didn't want their daughter marrying
someone with pagan and fetish background
It became a problem on both ends
She decided to travel abroad and do her Masters
Her parent felt it was for the best
She left!
He waited for three months and ran!
He just left home and travelled to Canada to be with her
His parents were distraught
How could he disobey them that coldly
She must have bewitched him
They didnt get married
She just got pregnant!
They were told not to tell anybody
Wait until she had the baby, wait until the 
prediction proved false
But he told his mother
He had to tell her in order to convince her that 
his grandfather's prophecy was a lie
A week after he told his mother
His wife, five months old pregnant at the time fell sick
The doctors diagnosed her of severe anaemia
They started her on blood transfusions
but the more blood she took, the shorter her blood
It was as if something was draining the blood
The doctors were perplexed
Sometimes she would have very intense high 
temperatures
Sometimes she would be as cold as death
They met a pastor who told them they have 
to be married
The pastor said they were meant to be together 
but not outside wedlock
They had the wedding right there in the hospital
She got better afterwards, though she was still 
on admission
The severe anaemia and projected consequences 
stopped
She was still weak and fragile but she was out 
of the woods!
They managed her until she delivered her baby
Two weeks after she delivered
There was a sudden pain in her left breast
The pain was so excruciating that she was 
begging for death
He took her to the hospital
They did all the tests that could be done
The doctors couldn't find anything wrong with her
The sedatives and pain killers administered to her 
failed woefully
He was confused!
What could be wrong with his wife?
Then his mother called
He told her they already had the baby
She said "You guys refused to talk to me, 
you think I am a witch!
I am not a witch! 
You are the disobedient ones who put your
own hands into the fire despite the warning 
of the elders! 
Now your wife is sick and she will not recover from it!
Your grandfather just left our house
He told us everything! 
He said your wife made a covenant in the spirit
realm that "the day she gives her breast to a 
baby to suck
her breast should turn into a weapon and kill her!"
So don't waste your money trying to heal her
All your efforts will come to nought in a few days
She is dead already! Take heart"
WOW!
He slumped in a chair in the reception and 
cried all night
A nurse came to call his attention at about midnight
The nurse gave him the phone number of the
Brother in Jeans and T-shirt
"Call him, you just call him"
He made the call immediately
He was told to send a WhatsApp message
He did!
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt called him back
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt said 
"Is your wife with you"
He sprinted to his wife's bedside
His wife was screaming in pain, writhing in pain,
and thrashing about on the hospital bed
The Borhter in Jeans and t-shirt said
"Whatever is in that breast I command you to come out now
Now!''
He prayed in the spirit and said it again
Then he prayed in the spirit and said it a third time
His wife screamed piercingly frightfully and laid still
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt said  
"Wake her up, I want to talk to her"
He told the Brother in Jeans and T-shirt that his 
wife's hand had been tied down 
by the nurses when she was acting wildly and
 trying to pull off her own breast"
He told her to call the nurses and untie his wife
The nurses did and he woke his wife up
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt prayed for her
She told him how she was feeling 
They prayed and he told her to lift up her hands 
and wave it around
(SHe couldn't do this before)
She did!
That night, for the first time in two weeks she slept like a baby
She breastfed her baby the next morning
Later that evening, she vomited a strange black substance
They were discharged a few days later
The storm was over!

PS: They live in Calgary, Canada
They have three children
This event happened in 2013, July
They were in Nigeria 2018 December for the 
wedding of his younger brother
His grandfather was also there
The prediction failed woefully and sorcery 
was put to shame
They both became Born again Christians 
after the incident
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt told them
only the power of the Holy Spirit can keep you
without him, the affliction might return!

where you feel that pain and say 
"Pain, in the name of Jesus, I command you to Go!
