Something shocking

I saw something shocking today!

There was this lady who was born in 1986; she is very brilliant, a lawyer.

Some years ago, her mother brought her to me for prayers

In the course of the prayer, it was revealed that she was not conceived in the normal way

I kept seeing her dragging a plantain seedling (sucker) under her armpit as I prayed.

The mother kept quiet while I prayed

After my prayers, they left

Then the mother came back into my sitting room while the lady went to sit in the car

The mother said that after she had given birth to two children, she got pregnant again, but had to have an abortion due to a bitter fight she had with her husband at the time, which she thought would lead to a divorce

She said she and her husband later patched things up, and she discovered it was difficult for her to conceive again

She said after five years of trying, her mother took her to a Cameroonian herbalist who gave her a potion to drink and a plantain seedling to plant at the back of her house

She planted it, and she got pregnant

The herbalist then told her that there is a clause for the child she will deliver

The plantain tree must not be allowed to dry up or die

When the plantain tree matures, if it brings forth plantains, then the baby will get married and have children

If it does not, then the baby will never get married or have children

I told the woman that we have to pray and then cut the plantain tree totally so that we disassociate its demonic power over the lady

The mother said she cannot do it for fear that her daughter will die

She said it was because of the plantain that she could not sell the house even when she got a juicy offer, and she also could not travel abroad for more than a month or live anywhere else

She waters the trees (that one seedling has now become a grove behind her house with the hope that one day it will suddenly flower and have plantains.

When the lady turned 35, she left Nigeria for the UK because she felt their neighbours were always gossiping about her singleness and lack of any form of relationship

Today, i was about to drive out of an estate when I saw a woman who looked very much like that woman

Hair was all white, and she wore glasses while fiddling with her phone

I parked and walked up to her so that I could greet her

When I got close, I saw that it was the daughter

She looked like a woman in her sixties

Still unmarried and unattached, and now looking much older than her age

She said she came to Nigeria two weeks ago, right after she got her Indefinite Leave to Remain

I asked her if she was healthy.

She smiled and said

The plantain leaves behind her mother's house are turning brown, and this has gotten her mother quite worried

This was why she had returned to that they could find a solution to it

I offered the path of prayer and breaking off her ties to the plantain grove

She said her mother would never consider that...

I drove home, wondering and pondering

There are so many questions running through my mind

Beyond the lady herself and her peculiar situation

The fact that the plantain trees were turning brown and she was, as a result, looking much older is a puzzle...

I have heard of children spawned with yams and cassava before

I always felt they were just myths, but this plantain thing is happening right before my eyes

I will look to the Lord for my answers
