The Divide
God spoke to Jesus from heaven in the scriptures. Jesus heard it clearly. The people around said, "It is only thunder."
Jesus spoke to Saul on the road to Damascus. Saul heard Jesus clearly. The people around Saul only heard a strange sound and saw a strange light. They didn't hear or see Jesus.
John the Baptist was with His disciples. God showed him how to identify the Saviour of the world.
Every other person that came to be baptized by John came thinking the baptism would make them heaven worthy or cleanse them of their sins. John knew he was baptising all in order to identify and bear witness of the one!
When John saw Jesus. He knew who he was. When he baptized Jesus, the Holy Spirit came down. John saw it. The heavens opened and God spoke. John heard it. Jesus heard it. The crowd said it was thunder. It wasn't the first time.
The children of Israel arrived at Mount Sinai with Moses. God told them to consecrate themselves for He was coming to visit. They knew God was coming. They prepared for three days. On the D-day, God appeared on top of the mountain. Moses told the people it was time. They said, "All we hear is thunder. We see fire and we are scared. We don't want to see or hear God for ourselves. Go and hear for us. Whatever you tell us God says we will hear and do.”
Imagine travelling many miles to meet with God, finally getting the chance to be with God one on one and turning it down. This is human nature.
Two friends are sitting in a church service, the pastor preaches and makes an altar call.
One friend heard the voice of the Holy Spirit drawing him into purpose. The other only noticed the grammatical blunders of the pastor. The one that heard the Holy Spirit stands up to give his life to Jesus. The other one is like, "Where are you going? What is special in what was said that you're crying and getting emotional?"
God is Spirit. You and your wife can be making love on the bed and God will speak to you clearly and yet she wouldn't hear a word of what was said. An angel of the Lord can walk into the room and only your wife will see Him while you will be lost in the pleasure of the moment. Two Christian ministers can sit on the podium during a programme, one will hear the instructions of the Holy Spirit clearly telling him or her what to do that is in line with God's will. The other can be on his knees crying, "Open the eyes of my heart, Lord, I want to see you." And yet would return home hearing nothing.
The angels of the Lord came into Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot saw strangers he should be kind to. Others saw fine men that ought to be slept with.
Hundreds of people on a ship. The ship was going to crash. Apostle Paul saw an angel who told him what would happen and how to preserve the lives of the men on the boat.
The Roman soldiers saw only the possibility of prisoners escaping and started planning how to kill all of them so that none would escape.
Jesus prayed and his countenance changed. Light came out of him like a projector and in that light Moses and Elijah became manifest. Peter, James and John saw it. Only Jesus knew what really happened and why!
The same principle still holds true today. The Lord speaks to his children clearly
and they hear him. Others mock them for it.
They say, "How did God speak to you? How did you hear him? Where is the evidence?"
The Word of God was written to give all men wisdom. Some will read and interpret what they read so ‘skilllessly’ that it is embarrassing.
And these guys will still say they are Pastors or an authority in the things of the spirit, like pharisees.
No matter how simply the verses of the scriptures were set, many will still misunderstand or misinterpret the instructions. They argue about the supernatural, praying in tongues, miracles, signs and wonders, divine provision etcetera.
Everything baffles them for they only know God in a mental capacity which means they don't know God at all. For God is Spirit!
I show evidence of the supernatural and they scorn it. They cannot walk in it
They disdain those who do.
Their ego has constrained them from growing in the things of God.
They are title bearers who God knows not!
They can argue and teach common sense but God is not in the mundane.
God is always spirit and his nature remains consistent!
When you read my tweets, your response determines who you really are.
It is either you get it or you don't!
It is either you have the spiritual discernment to key into it and grow in it or you constitute an opposition or a "misunderstander" who would only slant what was said to his or her mindset.
This is why the Word of God is of benefit to some of us and of no benefit to others. We can hear Him, and as we follow His instructions, we prosper. They cannot hear him, and therefore, they suffer from lack of instructions. A tree is known by its fruits!
