To Be or Not- A Masterclass

I have been pacing about my house all day wondering how best to write this and convey the right message with the right meaning to those who need it on the topic I am addressing

Oftentimes, I have the answer to a question in my spirit but find myself struggling with the right expressions to birth it for the consumption of others

We must be apt to teach, as instructed by Apostle Paul and so I will teach as led by the Holy Spirit

I got these questions earlier on the 17th of December and the other one on the 18th of December from two different brothers in Christ.

1.  Good day GSW. Please I would like to know your thoughts on why some ministries or churches that understand the message of grace and righteousness apart from works still struggle to see powerful creative miracles and workings of wonders like is seen in your ministry. I have been with one such where we pray in tongues a lot, for hours, and fast a lot but these powerful demonstrations of Christ are quite scanty
2. Brother Gbenga, good evening. Please I have a question. I see some pastors who preach that generational curses can hold a Christian down. Then you see them during ministrations casting and breaking such and a lot come back with testimonies. I know that generational curses are not for the ones in Christ. Is it ignorance of the pastor or the believer who listens and believes the teaching? Or is it that the sin of such a believer even as a Christian made the Curse of effect?

The answer to the two questions and to many other questions relating to who the believer ought to be as against who the believer is or the reality a believer ought to be walking in versus the reality a believer finds himself or herself walking in even after praying and fasting and speaking in tongues is what I will try to state for the benefit of everybody and in a simple term.

The answer is "Behold" 2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; BEHOLD, all things have become new. Revelations 22: 8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me.

9 But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!”

10 Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near. Psalm 82 82 God stands in the congregation of [a]the mighty; He judges among the [b]gods. 2 How long will you judge unjustly, And show partiality to the wicked? Selah 3 [c]Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy. 4 Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked. 5 They do not know, nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are unstable. 6 I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.

Beholding Changes Everything! Note that I didn't use the term seeing, even though it is a synonym of behold but for the purpose of this class, BEHOLD is more appropriate because it means BECOME WHAT YOU SEE!

See something, freeze the image, and become the image.

When I was a teenager, I used to think I was very ugly, my younger brother was quite dashing in appearance and we grew up in Ibadan where simple words were often communicated in insulting terms. I remember girls laughing at my inability to pronounce "R" and another one calling me "eyes kongba" because of my big eyes and someone else calling me "Olori nla" meaning big head when I was in primary school

All these factors made me think I was nothing to look at and I would often bury my nose in my books in my room and avoid public appearances.

One day, my older sister who was in SS3 at the time brought her friend home with her to visit and this friend had a younger sister who had never seen me before.

This young lady who was in SS1, just like me came with them to our house. One look at me and the girl started melting like a candle. Ladies and gentlemen this girl was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen in my life.

After that day, the girl would seize any opportunity to visit our house until I became her friend (Not boyfriend as I was too timid to think such thoughts at the time) but she would have dated me if I had the confidence to ask her out at the time. She really liked me.

This changed my perspective of myself forever.

I began to see that I am fine in my own way, plus I am very intelligent and well, a spec!

So, I discarded the image I had which was of an ugly duckling and I began to sprout about like a peacock!

I beheld myself through another person's eyes and it changed how I saw myself forever. This is what it means to behold.

You must see yourself through the eyes of the scripture, you must see with your mind's eyes, freeze the image in your mind, and then become what you see going forward without a second thought.

Whatever you want to accomplish in life, you must see it first and take possession of it from within; that is, from your mind.

For example, if you’re to be a goalscoring and exceptional footballer, you must first picture yourself in possession of the ball, controlling it and dribbling your way towards your opponent’s defense.

You must see yourself approaching their goal, beating the goalkeeper, and scoring your goals.

You must see it, dream, and ruminate it before you get on the pitch; otherwise, it’ll be difficult for you to excel.

In the same way, if you’re a lawyer, you must see yourself addressing the court, with the judge, other lawyers, and the entire courtroom spellbound as they watch and listen to you present your case.

You must see and hear yourself making such irrefutable arguments before you get into the courtroom. It all starts from the images in your mind! One of the beautiful things you can do for yourself as a Christian is to always build in your mind the right pictures about what you want in life. It pays when you activate your faith-eyes to see beyond your present horizon and envision yourself living out the very best of what God has prepared for you in this world.

God never created us to suffer or live the average life where we’re barely getting by. He created us to excel and flourish in all areas of our lives. However, until you begin to see yourself that way—living in abundance, perfect health, victory, and success—it’ll be difficult for you to experience it.

You must first envision yourself living in that realm, living God’s dream. A lot of us who claim to be born-again Christians are not seeing the right picture of what it means to be a new creation.

Let me show you one more scripture, it will help.

Zechariah 3 3 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan[a] standing at his right side to accuse him. 2 The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?” 3 Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. 4 The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.” Then he said to Joshua, “See (Behold), I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you.” 5 Then I said, “Put a clean turban on his head.” So, they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the Lord stood by. 6 The angel of the Lord gave this charge to Joshua: 7 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here. 8 “‘Listen, High Priest Joshua, you and your associates seated before you, who are men symbolic of things to come.

John was born again and full of the Holy Spirit, then he was taken up to heaven and an angel acted as his tour guide and decoder so that what he was seeing would be understood in the right perspective and not interpreted with a carnal mindset.

When they were done and John had received a full revelation of God's word and intentions, John wanted to show the angel his gratitude and he fell down to worship the angel the same way he worships God as if he was a subordinate to the angel, as if the angel was superior to him. The angel told John not to do that. The angel said we are both servants of God accomplishing divine purpose.

You are doing it in the realm of men where you have influence and jurisdiction in the material world, I am doing it in the heavenly realm where I supply you with information and supernatural support to achieve your aim.

We are on the same team and you are not lower than me in ranking. John didn't know this. John didn't see himself in the right light, he had not BEHELD.

He had assumed that since Psalm 8 said God made man a little lower than angels that angels were superior to him but the angel corrected him. In reality, John is a joint heir with Christ and superior to certain angels in spiritual ranking. He didn't see himself this way and therefore he acted in a manner that was beneath his status.

Beholding helps you see things from the right perspective and then act according to what you have seen as the truth about yourself.

Joshua the High Priest stood before God in a filthy garment representing his righteousness as the High Priest of Israel at the time but he was only being used in this vision as a symbol. God ordered that the garment of the High priest be changed and it was.

Then God said to the High Priest, "See! (Behold, Look, comprehend, come to terms with this reality, pay attention to this change, let this picture configure your mindset, see who you are now, see what I have done to you with your own eyes, and adjust your mind to it once and for all)

I have taken away the filthy rag and given you a fine robe.

Why do Christians pray without supernatural manifestations? They can't see as they ought to. They can't behold. They can’t adjust their mindsets to their new status. They are still acting as if they are wearing filthy garments instead of a fine heavenly robe.

They assume they are still a little lower than angels. They assume they are still under a curse like mere men. They assume they are still subject to the elements of this world. They assume they are still mortals. They assume they are still limited by circumstances and situations. They expect God to intervene and do things and make things happen, work a miracle, do magic and tear the roof on their behalf.

So, they pray in tongues for hours, declare and affirm and yet they remain the same because that is what they see. They simply cannot see the extraordinary reality they now have and what you cannot see, you cannot become.

Genesis 17:4 4 “Behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of a multitude of nations.

Abraham was taught how to see, if he didn't see he wouldn't be so confident as one man to stay on his own and not align with any other nation around him for protection and economic support. How do you get rich without mixing with other people for trade and commerce?

Did you ask yourself that question? Do you remember Jacob got to Shechem and began to plot how to get rich by mixing with them in trade and commerce because that was the obvious way one became rich?

This didn't happen because his daughter got raped and her brothers killed the men of Shechem. Abraham got some riches off Pharaoh and Abimelech but one of them, Hagar, eventually became a snare to him. The children of Israel were in the wilderness for forty years, they traded with no one and yet their supplies didn't diminish. If you have seen the Game of Thrones, you will understand that if a mighty army goes off into the desert without water, food and other supplies, the desert will defeat them the way it did to Daenerys and her Dothraki army but the opposite of this happened in the case of the Israelites.

They thrived in the wilderness. Why? Moses didn't see a people who got into the wilderness as a mighty nation only to be ravaged by sicknesses, dehydration, disease, hunger, thirst, heat stroke, cold, and other ills.

He saw a people who came into the wilderness as a small force but came out of it as a mighty horde. Do you remember how Balak described them when they were coming close to the end of their journey in the wilderness? Numbers 22: 5 “Behold, a people has come out of Egypt; they cover the face of the earth, and they are dwelling opposite me."

It was recorded that they lacked nothing in the desert despite the fact that they were feeding many mouths daily.

Many of us see only lack and empty pockets because we cannot behold. Many believers are so poverty-conscious, it has become like a disease unto them. It is all they see, it is all they pray about, it is all they talk about, it is all they become.

The church that does not see, cannot become. The believer who does not see does not become.

I sometimes sit down and type all sorts of miracles, provisions, and supernatural supplies down while praying, II post this on a group I have on WhatsApp called "GSW AND Angels"

I do this after hours of praying and declaration, it is my first step of faith toward seeing what I declare.

A few days or weeks later, I will go for a ministration, the person will mention a case to me and the case will not sound far-fetched because I have imagined handling such a case before and even written the testimony down with my own hand in anticipation.

I will lay hands on the sick fellow and the miracle will be instant. I am of God I declare a thing and it is established.

When I say Light be, Light must be. I am one of His sons, a part of the Elohim dynasty, I am a god and I am a partaker of the divine nature.

This is what I see and this is what I demonstrate to the world every day. It is not by fasting (I fast), It is not by praying (I pray), It is not by sowing seeds and tapping anointing (I don’t do these things), It is by the Spirit’s Grace, Grace has been spoken to me.

There is no mountain that can stand before me. No man can stand before me all the days of my life. I am of the race of the Godkind. I used to be a mankind and then I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and I became a Godkind, I have been transformed from a Homo Sapiens to a Homo Christus.

This is what I see every day and all day in my mind as me! When you’re conscious of the life of God in you, you will never waste your time praying for deliverance or seeking for a breakthrough, because you will discover that Jesus already broke through for you.

He already placed before you an open door that no devil can shut. You’re a new creation with the life, power, and abilities of God functioning in you! All you need to do is show up and the devil will back off! It helps to watch real miracles, (not staged ones please) and engage your imagination as you watch.

See yourself as the one doing these miracles. Write down the miracles you will do in detail and when you pray, see these miracles being done by you. Think of it, carry it in your spirit, be full of the manifestation of this truth in your spirit, speak it forth and when the moment to manifest this glory comes, you will do it effortlessly.

When you pray, you will stop saying "God come and heal this boy", that is the prayer of someone who has not seen or beheld the reality of His new life in God. You will say "Young man, In the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, I command you to be healed" That is how those who have beheld pray!

What I have written here is not for Nepios or for anyone to memorize as the steps to making it in life. It is what you must become from within in your walk with the Holy Spirit.

There are so many people speaking in tongues who have no relationship or walk with the Holy Spirit. To them praying in tongues is a religious exercise, a mental thing. Such people cannot birth the fruits of this vine. Jesus said He is the Vine and we are the branches. The branch must be connected to the Vine for it to produce good fruits Make your you are not a clashing cymbal or someone who glories in speaking in tongues just for the fun of it or to be able to boast about it to others or say things like I speak in tongues a lot and yet I don’t see the difference it makes.

The heart of the believer is key to the reality he or she sees. David prospered in the wilderness. Jesus fed thousands in the wilderness. The church of Jesus is built to be self-sustaining and prosperous within its own walls. You do not need anyone to sow seed or give you honorarium, tithes, and offerings in order to prosper in ministry or in life. We do not take handouts. We give generously.

Abraham said he wouldn't take from anyone so that nobody would say they were the ones who made Abraham rich.

I declare the same every day and it is the reality I walk in by the Spirit. I have been saying this for many years and I have strong evidence to present in support of my assertions. The water that blesses all flows from the temple outward, not from outward into the temple.

If you see the scriptures in the right light, and you see yourself in the right light, you will come to understand this and walk in its full reality.

When a believer starts talking about generational curses and so on, just know that believer is operating only in the flesh and experiencing carnal "miracles" that are more like placebo effects.

The believer became born again into generational blessings through Abraham, anything to the contrary claimed by anyone is a statement of unbelief. If you cannot behold, you should not lead because without vision the people are misled.
