It was a sudden attack
One minute she was very healthy and fine
The next she was hit by an avalanche 
of medical issues
The first was high blood pressure
The attack was so severe that she could 
hardly move her right hand and right leg
She was just jerking and shaking violently
They rushed her to the hospital
Spent precious money that nobody had
His elder sisters had to go into debt to 
ensure their mother didn't end up with stroke
Some people said it was because she 
was going through menopause
Others, closer to the family, said it was 
because of the way her husband, 
callously left her and married another woman
Nobody understood her husband's behaviour
He was a good man who went in search of 
greener pastures abroad
He actually got a visa to study for his PhD 
in Germany with a full scholarship 
He was working as a teacher at the time and 
had risen to the position of vice-principal
How much were teachers earning then
He decided he had to seize the opportunity
He had studied for his Master's in 
international relations in Germany after 
completing his first degree in Political science
 in the premier university
He did everything in his power to ensure that
 his family was well catered for
He paid the rent for their flat two years
 in advance, and made sure he put some money 
in his wife's care
They had four children, two girls and two boys
At first, he called the family every weekend
He came home after the first two years
He gave all of them a good report, he told them
 he had done everything to ensure that he 
completed the project in three years
He still had to go back but this time 
it will be for only a year to complete his thesis
He explained to them that he worked at a 
food processing factory
It was a demeaning job, packing spaghetti
But he was on a student visa and students 
were not allowed to do "real" jobs especially
 when they are on a German government's grant
He brought home enough money to settle the rent
 and school fees! 
They had been eating barely twice a day 
since he travelled, he told them to bear it
And then he had to reluctantly travel again
The night before he departed he hugged his wife 
and children and cried like a baby
He hated it abroad, he hated being without his family
He hated being a second class citizen, 
he hated the cold, he hated the racism, 
he hated the menial job, he hated the loneliness, 
he hated the isolation!
At home he had friends and he was well respected
Abroad, he was a nobody, just a number on a document
His wife encouraged him, the children encouraged him
He travelled again
It was easier this time and  he started 
applying for jobs as soon as he finished 
his final examinations
He also applied for a resident visa
He didn't get either
He discussed the development with one
 of his cousins who lived in America
His only options seemed to be returning home
 to take up the job of a lecturer or finding a 
way to stay abroad and make it!
The cousin told him to try his luck at the American 
embassy in Germany
His cousin sent him a letter of invitation
Maybe he will get an American visa 
He tried it, it worked!
He returned home briefly to see his family and 
celebrate his achievement with them
One month later he set off for America
The land of boundless opportunities
He felt it was time to put that PhD to work and earn big
He got to America and discovered he wouldn't be 
able to do much without his papers
He called his wife and explained everything to her
Here you need your papers to achieve everything
The easiest way to get a paper is to marry one 
of the citizens  here
It will not be anything serious, just a formality
"I need the documents seriously"
His wife had no alternative
She knew him and trusted him with all her heart
They had been together since she was 19
He was 21 at the time and he never so much as
looked at another woman since then
He also didn't have any bone of deceit in him
He was one of those men you can vouch for 
to do what was right all the time
He was always calling and sending money 
to meet the needs of the home
And then according to his explanation,
the cousin who was accommodating him told him 
to move out
He had no other place to move to than the 
house of his "paper" wife
His "paper" wife delivered a beautiful baby girl for him
He didn't tell his wife any of this
He didn't know how to tell her that the trusted 
character she knew as a young woman had been changed by the 
circumstances of life
He kept it all to himself
It was his cousin that called and told his wife and
 family what a useless man he had become
His cousin said he slept with his wife
and he had no option but to send him packing
It was the news that opened the door to the sudden 
afflictions that besieged her
She was shocked to the marrow
For several days she cried all night
He was the love of her life
Through thick and thin they had sailed the 
waters of life together
And now he had settled with another woman 
and even fathered another child!
After the high blood pressure saga
She got sick again!
This time she was diagnosed with 
hypertension and heart palpitation
The doctors gave her drugs that she must 
use daily in order to survive
It was a real battle for her survival
Her first two daughters had graduated from 
the University and employed at the time
The first with a printing press and the 
second with a law firm
Most of their income was spent on 
keeping her alive and healthy
The other children, the two boys, 
were still in the university
By this time her husband had learnt 
that she had heard what was going on 
and he simply stopped calling
Not even to find out how his sons were faring 
or provide for their schooling
The burden for their education was a 
source of pain in her heart
It added sorrow to her sorrow!
Somehow with the miraculous hand of
 God and divine providence,
the boys graduated
The most incredible part of it was this
As soon as the final examination was over 
and the boys called home to announce to her 
that they had finished their examinations
The sicknesses disappeared
Artitris, Hypertension, High blood pressure
Heart palpitation, Menopausal issues
Everything just vanished!
She could eat whatever she desired again, 
she was happy again and she thrived on every side
Her children got married in quick succession after then
the two ladies in 2014 and 2016 respectively
The boys in 2018, two months apart
Their Father came home to meet 
her healthy and flourishing
He apologised!
He came home with his two American Children
He had since divorced their mother
She forgave him and blessed him
The children wanted them to reconcile and be as before
But they only remained friends
He still had a lot of commitments in Americ
a and had to travel on and off to meet up
She also travelled often to nurse her grandchildren
in America and Canada because her two 
daughters had relocated these countries respectively
She said the heartbreak felt like a physical real knife 
was driven into her heart
And as a consequence, she was in continuous 
unbearable pain
The cares and worries about the children and their 
welfare was also another weight on her shoulders
As she healed from the heartbreak, she couldn't help 
but worry how her two boys will make it through 
the university
What two people used to bear became hers alone to 
bear and she had very limited resources 
The sicknesses were a manifestation of the agony 
she was going through
She forgot that God's everlasting arms hold families
from generation to generation watching over his word
to bring it to pass over them!
The moment the children graduated
It felt as if a huge weight was lifted off her shoulder
She was suddenly light and happy again
And she became healthy instantly

PS: Do away with the weight today
A load of care and worry on your shoulder will only 
pull you into an early grave
Jesus said we should not worry about anything
The scriptures said we should not worry about anything
Worry Kills, Anxiety opens the door to sicknesses
Some people think people will not take them serious
until they shrink their face and mop about like a mop!
Suh people are wrong!
Live your life in such a way that is pleasing to God
Depression, fear and other demonic symptoms 
are borne of worry
You want to marry and you are still single, how would 
worry get you a spouse?
You need a job and you don't have one,
 how would worry get you a job?
There are many people in the hospital today 
because of worry
There are many people in the grave today 
because of worry
Believers who worry are living in disobedience
Let go of that weight today!
