What Can You See?

What Can You See?

“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life”- 2 CORINTHIANS 3:5-6

As a Christian, your life is preordained by God; predestination is at work in you. Nothing and no one can place a limit on you. This is God’s blessing for every one of His children, and He gave you the Holy Spirit to be your sufficiency. With Him, you can be anything, do anything, go anywhere, and be all that God destined you to be.

When you were born again, you were delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the Kingdom of God’s dear Son (Colossians 1:13). You’re therefore no longer subject to the elements of this world. This means that you must refuse to be snowed under by infirmities and the harsh elements of this world that make life unbearable for the ordinary man.

Nothing happens to you by chance, but you’re responsible for the outcome of your life because He gave you authority in His Name. This is why you must keep growing in the Lord–unto a mature man in Christ.

Then you’ll be knowledgeable enough to walk in the consciousness of your inheritance in Him. In John 8:32, the Lord Jesus said, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Ignorance of the truth of God’s Word will keep you in bondage and cause you to suffer the same things the people of the world suffer; it will keep you under because you are not aware that you are limitless.

You don’t have to struggle to be a success because you function with God’s ability and wisdom. He is your wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30). What you have to understand is how to walk with Him and function in His wisdom, beyond your human ability. God’s wisdom in you is a force that causes you to walk in His perfect will all the time and be successful in all that you do.

Refuse to allow any limitation. Acknowledge the Holy Spirit as your secret of success. He’s the One at work in you, and He’s an unlimited personality, with unlimited powers, abilities, and potentials. He’s the limit breaker. Recognize His work and ministry in you. That consciousness will produce a divine force that propels you to success and victory continually.

It’s mainly the nepios – the babe in Christ – the spiritually immature – that can be subject to the elements of this world and the circumstances around them. Your age, the economy of the nation where you live, the color of your skin, your family, educational and financial background or any other circumstances of your life, shouldn’t be a limitation. Nothing can limit you, unless you allow it.

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth (Psalm 33:6).

The human body is a limitation of divinity. Let me explain this to you. When Jesus was tabernacled in human flesh, there were things He couldn’t do, because He was in the human body, even though He is Himself God. For example, He couldn’t continue every day, every hour, without getting tired; He had to sleep. Once, He was in the boat, and fell asleep because He was tired.

How Jesus wanted to be free from that body, through the Holy Ghost! That’s what He got for us, letting the Spirit loose in us. He couldn’t even minister beyond Israel, as much as He loved the whole world; He was limited because He was a Jew. Even the Samaritan woman wouldn’t want to listen to Him. She said, “How can you ask me for water! You’re a Jew and I’m a Samaritan; we have no dealings with each other…” (Read John 4:9). Think about the Romans; they would have treated Him in like manner.

The limitation of the human body is the limitation of divinity in you. Jesus was the Word; yet, when He was sleeping, the “Word” wasn’t sleeping. The only reason He had to sleep was that the body was tired; the body needed rest. So what does that mean? It means that the essence of the human spirit—the human personality—is not the physical body, because of the body’s obvious limitations.

God, however, designed divinity to be released through words! Words are illimitable because they go into the realm of the spirit. You can speak from where you are and have things happen all over the world. That’s the power of words! You can speak from your closet, and it will have an impact in Heaven.

Words! How important your words are! When your spirit is in sync with the Holy Spirit, your words become spirit and life, like the words of Jesus. So, when you have a situation to deal with, when you have changes to effect, meditate on the Word; soak your spirit in the Word until only the Word comes out of your mouth!

One of your major determinations this year should be to achieve all that God has set in your heart to achieve, leaving nothing out. He has set eternity in your heart, meaning that there’s no limit to the extent of your faith; that is, how far your faith can go and how much you can accomplish. The Lord said to Abraham in Genesis 13:14-15 “… Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.”

How was Abraham supposed to view the entire expanse of land and seas from where he stood? Was he to stand up, march around the whole world to take possession of it?” No! Abraham was the father of faith; he understood the faith principle of seeing with the eyes of the spirit. Hence, he projected himself in faith; with his spirit, he saw the whole world. According to the Scriptures, God gave the world to Abraham by promise.

There are no limits to what your faith can accomplish. The question is, “What can you see?” In 2 Kings 2, when Elisha said to Elijah, “…let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.” Notice Elijah’s response: “Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so” (2 Kings 2:10).

We see, we speak, and we receive. As far as the other prophets were concerned, Elijah simply vanished. However, Elisha, by the eyes of the spirit, saw a chariot of fire pick up Elijah into heaven. That was how he was promoted and became the head among the prophets.

You have an extraordinary capacity to contemplate, think, envision, and see endless possibilities. There are things you might have desired and prayed about; take hold of them with your spirit, and they’ll be yours!

Someone once asked me if it was possible for satan to place a hindrance on the path of someone who’s born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. Emphatically yes, but that doesn’t mean anything! As a matter of fact, the easiest challenge to handle as a Christian is that which is masterminded by satan.

In 1 Thessalonians 2:18, Paul revealed how he and his team encountered hindrance from satan: “Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again: but Satan hindered us.” Now, Paul was full of the Holy Ghost, and had the Word of God dwelling in him richly, and he discerned that it wasn’t just some natural form of hindrance, but one caused by satan. But that didn’t in any way impact negatively on his ministry. He still did all that God called him to do and fulfilled his God-given destiny.

Understand that the more effective you are for the Lord and in your faith-walk, the more satan seeks to stir adversities against you. But you need not worry about him; he is not a factor at all! He and demons are intelligent beings, and they understand and respond to spiritual authority. When you come against them in the Name of Jesus, they’ve got no option but to flee. So, you can blaze through every opposition; not only are you protected from the assault of the enemy, but you have the power to cast him out.

Jesus made it clear that we would face tribulations, but He assures us of victory all the way (John 16:33). So it makes no difference the hindrances or obstacles satan tries to place on your path, you’re to blaze through them and walk in victory.

Satan knows you have authority over him; he’s aware Jesus has given you all authority: “Behold I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you” (Luke 10:19AMP). As long as you know the power you wield in the spirit and use it boldly, giving no place to fear, you’ll always be victorious in life and nothing can hinder you!
