Bequeathed Divinity II

Bequeathed Divinity II

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). The Holy Spirit is the embodiment of all power, and He lives in you in His fullness.

He didn’t come in a measure to give you a part of Himself, contrary to the understanding that some people have. 1 Corinthians 3:16 says, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” Here, the Apostle Paul is emphatic: you’re the temple of God and the Spirit of God lives in you.

But who is this awesome, wonderful Holy Spirit that lives in you? He’s the conveyor of the presence and blessings of God. In the Old Testament, He’s called the “angel of God’s presence” (Isaiah 63:9). He’s the One who manifests God’s presence and His power wherever God wants it. Think about the fact that this awesome infinite personality of the Godhead lives in you! That makes you a God-carrying vessel; divinity’s headquarters! Hallelujah!

This means that in your life, it’s glory and excellence only, because Christ in you is the hope of glory; the Holy Spirit in you means glory, excellence, strength, victory, joy, peace, prosperity and blessings in your life! Affirm this always, because the power of the Word of God works through knowledge and affirmation. Every so often, say aloud, “The Holy Spirit lives in me. He has vitalised every fibre of my being; He’s my life and everything I need to live joyfully always, and fulfil God’s plan for my life gloriously.” Hallelujah!

The Holy Spirit didn’t merely come upon you as He did on God’s people in the Old Testament; He came into you to make you the headquarters of His operations in the earth. He lives in you in all His glory, majesty, dominion, wisdom and strength. And through you, He blesses everything and everyone around you; He establishes the righteousness of God in the earth and in the hearts of men. Through you, He’s able to express His love, because you’re His extension in the earth; you hail from Him and are one with Him (1 Corinthians 6:17). Praise God for evermore!

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life (1 John 5:11-12).

Your consciousness of your personality, origin, and heritage in Christ will affect the way you live, control the decisions you make, and the things that happen with, and around you. This is why you should be conscious of the life of God that’s in you. The Lord Jesus said in John 5:26, “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.” We read in our opening scripture that God has given us eternal life. What is this eternal life?

Eternal life is the life and nature of God imparted to the spirit of the one who believes in Jesus. It’s the supernatural life of God in your spirit, making you invincible, indestructible, and superior to Satan, sickness, disease, failure and death. The Apostle John in 1 John 5:13 writes, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life….” God wants you to be conscious of His life in you. That consciousness gives you the winner’s mentality.

You don’t have to “feel” it in your body first to be conscious that you have eternal life; it’s in your spirit. Every so often, declare that the life of God is in you: from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet! Perhaps you got injured, and it’s hurting terribly; remind yourself that you have the life of God in you. You’re born of the Spirit and the Word of God; your life is supernatural. That means there has to be a restoration.

Some people have had minor injuries that wouldn’t heal for many years. Such injuries eventually degenerated into debilitating ailments that cost them their lives, only because they knew nothing about this life of God. It’s the miracle-life! It’s incorruptible. If you feel the symptoms of sickness in your body, activate the power of the God-life in you by praying in tongues and speaking the Word. Within a short while, you’d notice strength and vitality return to your body.

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14).

Today, so much news of gloom and doom is disseminated through the media; there’s so much hardship, harsh economic conditions, wickedness, and terror in the world than it has ever been. The world is at a critical boiling point. But being in Christ, you have nothing to fear. Christ is your country, your home, and your environment.

In Christ, you’re forever victorious. You have overcome all the antichrist spirits of this world. 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

Then Paul, by the Spirit, declared in Romans 8:35-37, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?… Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”

It makes no difference the tests, trials, persecutions, and fierceness of the storms and pressures that you face; you’re more than a conqueror. The Word of God is infallible and immutable, and that Word says you’re a victor in Christ Jesus. Nothing should overwhelm you, because the greater One lives in you and causes you to triumph always, in all things, and in every place. This is your life in Christ! Blessed be God!
