They had been friends for several
years and they had no secret
from each other
She met her best friend when they
were in 100 level in the university

from that point
Her man was the future and she
intended to stick with him
Her friend didn't go away
She just sort of stepped aside
They graduated
She was posted to the north
Her man and her best friend were
posted to the same camp in the
East for NYSC
Somehow, in the most inexplicable
manner
Her man and her best friend started
dating and having sex
Her best friend told her
She took pictures and sent them
to her
Her boyfriend had nothing to say
in his defence
He said her best friend invited him
to a party in town one weekend
and one thing led to another
It felt like a red hot knife was
plunged into her heart
The pain was intense
She drank a bottle of disinfectant
She just wanted to die!
She was rushed to the hospital
Her life was saved
Many people came around to talk 
to her
Why would you want to die for love?

get many suitors
People said all sorts!
Her father came to check up on her
She was the first of three girls
Their mother was dead and her
father was doing his best to give
all of them a good education!
She didn't even remember him
She didn't remember his suffering
Love had narrowed her mind
The betrayal crushed her reasoning
abilities
Her father didn't say a word
His eyes said more than enough
She cried and cried
Her friend was right
She was naive to think she could
marry her first love even without
sleeping with him
She redeployed from her NYSC
post on health grounds
Her father took her home
Her friend was very wrong
Her man came to see her a month
after she was discharged
He came, all the way, to her town
in Delta State
Her heart melted the moment she
saw him

Her father had been in touch in with

Apparently, he had called her father to
find out how she was doing 
Her father was the one who gave him
updates and all
He always had her father's number on
his phone as her next of kin while
they were in school
He didn't tell her father he was the
one who broke her heart
He only told her father he was a friend
and would like to come around and 
check up on her
All she wanted was her man back
She didn't care if he had slept with
her best friend
She didn't care about the betrayal
and the pain
She just wanted him back!
He apologised
She didn't care about what happened
and she told him so
They made up and started where they
left off
In all he spent two weeks in Delta
He promised her he was no longer with
her friend
She believed him!
She didn't hear from her friend
The mere mention of her friend's name
upsets her
She just blanked her friend out!
The relationship went on for another
two years
They got married and settled down
in Lagos
Two months after she had her first
child
She took her baby for immunization
at the general hospital
Just as she was driving out of the
Hospital, she saw her best friend

They hugged and did some small talk

She had never seen her husband
so scared before
She told her husband she would
keep away from her friend
About two weeks later, 
her friend showed up at her office
Her friend apologised for what
happened in the past and took
responsibility for everything that
happened!
Hr friend confessed that she told
her mother about her inability to
get a man and her mother gave her
a charm!
She was to use the charm on any
guy she was familiar with and desired
to have sex with
It was with the help of the charm that
she was able to sleep with her 
boyfriend (Now husband)
She accepted her friend's apology
To her it had become water under
the bridge

also know that I have a set of
twins for your husband! They are with
my mother at the moment but they
are your husband's children and bear
his name! I just feel it is very necessary
that you know this!

is important that you have full disclosure!
Youir husband is aware of this and has
refused to take responsibility for the
children! But they belong to him! If you
have to do DNA test to confirm their

She didn't how how she felt after that!
She didn't even know how she got home
She just had a sinking feeling that wouldn't

It was horrible!
When her husband returned home
she confronted him
He had nothing good to say!

manipulation
He refused to have anything to do with 
them
She hated her friend
She cursed the day she met her friend
It was as if her friend was determined
to hang the sword of democles over
her life forever!
Her best friend betrayed her, almost
led her to commit suicide and has now
insinuated herself into her husband's
family tree forever by having children
for him!
It was all too hard for her to swallow!
She felt sad and soon she
slipped into depression
Her husband reached out to the Brother

He explained everyting
A history of almost ten years!

It is a pity when we get hung up
over nothing!
She has her husband and her child
She can have as many children as

That her husband had children
with her best friend shouldn't
be so much of a big deal that she 
had to become depressed!

selfish!
It took a lot of talk and admonition!

plea from her husband!

The couple recently delivered
another baby ( A girl)
She and her husband made room
for the children of the best friend
to visit their home and for their 
father to also spend time with them!
The best friend is still single but
had kept herself at a very respectful
distance from the family!
