Offense
I worked with this pastor once
He was very anointed
He was also very poor
And also very proud
Last December, I called him
I said "Sir, I want to bless you
with some money, can you send
me your account no?
Then I had just a little money
He said " You offended me and
I will not let
You get out of it that freely
I know God will not bless you if
I don't forgive you
So NO!
I am not giving you my account no
I will be poor and so shall you be
Until I deem it fit to forgive you"
I kept quiet
He didn't know the gospel
He thought he had jurisdiction over me
Oh no!
He missed it by a mile!
This year I flourished in Christ
I was so blessed that I became
a blessing to many all over the world!
Today, my wife said I should call him
and send him some money
I called I told him I want to send him
some money
He listened and said No!
He said you offended me!
I said "what was the offense sir"
I said this mildly, jokingly
He said "When I was a pastor over you,
you paid for my wife's adult education
for some time and then you stopped
paying without any explanation!
And after this you left the church!
I am not happy with you
So I will not send you my account number
I know they told you if you bless me
you will become rich but I refuse your gift!
I will remain poor and so will you!"
Wow! I cut the call and laughed!
He didn't know the Lord!
He didn't know the Holy Spirit
I am so blessed
Wow! I pity him
The lesson here is this
Offence only ties the offended down!
If you assume you have the right to
direct the course of another person
because you feel offended,
you are wasting your time!
The Holy Spirit does not work with offense!
He the Son has set free is Free Indeed!
PS: Hallelujah! I had a discussion with him!
I apologized and so did he!
We forgave each other!
He sent his account details and I
have done the needful!
We are all hitting the target set for us
by the Holy Spirit in 2020!
