Psalms of Tosin

Psalms of Tosin

Life of a God Kingdom daughter.

She gave her life to Christ at  boarding house,
it all happened so strangely.
A senior girl asked her to go to her classroom
to pick up her garri and groundnut from her
table.
At 7pm when it was dark and everyone knew
there were bushbabies and snakes lurking
at every corner.
‘Please’ she cried take my milo and milk
I can’t go to the class area at this time.
She begged and begged but the senior
wouldn’t budge.
She told her to kneel down and fly her hands,
how dare she disobey her.
This senior was in JSS3.
Tosin knelt down for ages crying and begging.
She usually never got into much trouble at
school as she was quite quiet and respectful
but this was total fear towering over obedience.
She would rather serve punishment than be
bitten by a snake or worse see a bushbaby,
especially after having witnessed the killing of a
massive snake by the students the day before.
Soon the senior students started filing into the
hostels after their reading period had ended,
and one asked why she was kneeling down.
She told her and was asked to stand up and
go to bed.
The senior reprimanded the JSS3 girl and
Tosin was saved.
Meanwhile another senior watched silently and
called her over, she asked why she was scared
to go to class and asked if she was born again,
she told her with Jesus you can do anything and
are saved from all things.
Tosin believed her and gave her life to Christ.
It was amazing Tosin was so full of the spirit of
God that she ran to the class that night and
brought back the garri and groundnut and
gave it to the Jss3 senior.
At school Tosin saw all sorts of things and heard
stories that made her glad she had Christ.
It made her pray and take her faith seriously.
Having left boarding school to attend a day
school closer to home, life was different.
She attended Celestial Church as her father was
the Pastor of a parish.
Her parents regularly stayed at church for a
few days during the week, which gave Tosin
the opportunity to sneak out of the house on
Wednesdays to a bible study group that took
place on her street and learn songs and study
the word with other born again believers.
She started taking her siblings with her and
soon they all gave their lives to Jesus.
One day her father came home early and waited
for them to get home.
He told Tosin off and warned her never to go
to the bible study fellowship as he didn’t know
the members and it finished quite late.
That did not stop her, she felt obliged to disobey
her earthly father for her Heavenly Father and
kept going.
By now she had started speaking in tongues
and her siblings followed suit.
One night when her parents were at church,
the nanny who stayed with them started
complaining about her tummy, the pain grew
worse.
Tosin started praying and speaking in tongues,
her sisters joined her there was really no other
choice as there was no phone neither at the
house nor at the church.
They prayed and prayed claiming healing over
their nanny.
The pain stopped and the kids jubilated.
**
Tosin had just completed her secondary school
and was waiting for her exam results. During the
break one day, she sat in her family prayer room
praying for change.
“God please I want to go back to England”.
For her family moved to Nigeria when she
was in primary school.
She prayed and prayed with every ounce of
faith that she had and believed that it was done.
A few months later her mother sent her on
holiday to England and from there she was asked
if she wanted to stay longer and start school.
God granted her prayer request.
Even till now she always remembers the day the
Lord heard her prayer in the prayer room.
When challenges come and she prays she
remembers her testimonies, her encounters
and she believes and her faith increases.
