Righting Wrongs
She loved to run, both the sprint
and the long distance
She loved to play table tennis
She loved to do high jump and long jump
She had the stamina for it
She had the love for it
She had the desire and the drive for it
She started taking it seriously in the
primary school
Her PE teacher realized she was a gem and
did everything to get her to shine
She won all the available medals for track
and field events from primary three until
she got to the polytechnic!
Academically she was average but her
record in track and field especially after
she settled for long distance races and
long jump was excellent!
She kept away from boys and sex
She was told it would mess with her
hormones and could truncate her career!
Being an athlete was an advantage for her
on campus
She didn't have to fight for accommodation
and she got some incentives from the school
whenever they had local and federal games
festivals
It was after she got into the polytechnic
that she came across the lesbianism for the
first time
For those who went to all-girls secondary
schools, it was nothing new
But for her, a day student, it was
"Oh My God"
One of the athletes she looked up to told
her it wasn't a big deal!
She knew it was but she respected the
athlete too much to argue!
She also needed to be part of the gang!
She was no longer a child!
After that evening, the same athlete
came on to her in the common bathroom
and offered to help her wash her back!
She gave her the sponge and that was
how it began!
She was just sixteen!
The athlete was the bloke
She was the babe
It was intense and very emotional
She never thought a woman could truly
fall in love with another woman!
But she did! She fell hard!
Her bloke was twenty-seven years old
and very experienced!
The things she learned about the
human body within six months were
absolutely crazy!
They were together for years!
Her bloke graduated
She also finished her OND!
Her bloke went for NYSC with a promise
to keep in touch
She was nineteen years old by this time
The next thing she heard
Her bloke was getting married
What!
She was very much in love
She couldn't believe it but it was true!
She told herself it was all a rude joke
She traveled to see her bloke
They talked Her bloke told her it was
An arranged marriage and promised her
the marriage was not a problem!
They would still find time to be together!
They consoled each other that day
The wedding held Her bloke introduced her
to the groom as her school daughter
The groom accepted her
She returned to school for her HND
Throughout her HND she kept in touch
with her bloke
She spent at least two weekends in a
month at her house
Even when her bloke was pregnant
They were together
Nobody suspected anything
She graduated and got a job
The pay was very poor but she took it
because she didn't want
To live too far away from her bloke!
Her bloke's husband was into software
engineering
He traveled very often to Germany
They had the time and space needed
They were each other's world!
Then sometime in 2014, her bloke's
husband came up with the idea of
relocating his family
She fought it
She told her bloke to say No!
Her bloke told her it was time for her
to get married
They had been together for almost
eight years
She didn't get it
Men came on to her often
She liked some and made friends
with others but she simply wanted
nothing to do with men or
Any other partner!
Her bloke told her she was obsessive!
"What of I die today, won't you live your life?"
Asked her bloke It felt to her as if her
bloke was indirectly breaking up with her
and siding with her husband
The relocation processing began
Her bloke told her to prepare
her mind and get her own apartment!
She couldn't take it
One night, after hours of ponderings,
she poisoned her bloke's husband's drink
All she wanted was to get her bloke's
attention back
She thought he would drink and die
peacefully in his sleep!
But It was a messy death
They rushed her bloke's husband to the
hospital on time but the hospital didn't
have the antidote for the poison!
Her bloke's husband died
His family members came around
The police got involved!
The consequences of her actions dawned
She knew her bloke suspected her
But she was careful not to leave any
evidence behind!
The investigation took eleven months
She was not even interrogated or treated
as a suspect
If she was, she would have confessed
She didn't know it would feel so terrible
When it was over, her bloke threw her things
out with tears and curses!
She had nobody to go to!
Her mother died giving birth to her
She was raised by her grandma who
passed on when she was in ND 2
She never knew her father
She had lost her job during the
nerve-wracking investigations
She was so sure she would be caught
and sent to jail!
One of her bosses at her former place
of work came to her rescue
He offered her his boys quarters to live in
His wife offered her food
She found a job at a supermarket closeby!
The family was attending an orthodox Church
and she went to church with them
After two years she made her inquiries
and joined a religious order!
*** She said her soul was not at peace
in any way
She knew what she did and felt it was unfair
that she was walking free after committing
such a heinous crime!
She said she was depressed and suicidal!
She knew she needed to do the right thing!
It just felt right that she lived the rest of life
in service to God and humanity!
Ps: I have a lot of brothers and sisters in cassocks!
This sister is the wittiest of them all!
She wrote her opinions on many of my stories
and has helped me to counsel many people
When she first reached out to
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt, she
complained of having dreams and
nightmares every day!
They prayed together
She received the baptism of the Holy Spirit
The siege of horror was conquered
There is a way out of certain lifestyles
A way of love
Please reach out today and experience
the transforming power of the Holy Spirit!
Our gospel is not in words but in power!
