The Confrontation

He saw them the first time in front of a supermarket
He was dashing to the supermarket to buy baby food
There were three empty parking spaces
in front of the supermarket
The time was around 5:30 pm
He chose the one closest to the entrance
Suddenly they were there!
They didn't really sprout out of nowhere
He was sure they couldn't have
But it felt to him as if they were "Just there"
He pressed his car horn, 
Couldn't they see that he wanted to park?
One of the security men for the supermarket came running
The security man looked at him and clasped his hand together
"Sorry sir, would you like to park in another spot?"
"Why were they standing in the parking space? He asked
the security man
"I don't know sir and they look angry to me, I don't
want to talk to them"
It was very strange...
Three ladies dressed in jeggings and tight blouses
With fake eyelashes and rings and makeup and all the works
Without a car, yet occupying a parking space
He left his car engine running
He stepped out of the car and walked towards them
They waited for him to get to about two feet from them
One of them turned around and hissed at him
Then the three of them walked away
He stopped in his tracks, went back to his car and parked
By the time he alighted from the car again
They were long gone
It was strange but then not so strange
In recent years beggars of all ages had taken to
frequenting supermarket car parks and ATM machines
to ply their trade!
He had fallen victim of some of them several years before
But as he grew in his walk with the Holy Spirit
He learnt to discern who to give his money to 
and who to ignore
There were people you will give your money 
to and you will feel instantly as if you had 
been robbed!
He once gave a woman some money and the
woman threw it back at him claiming she
might be begging but she was not poor!
It was actually the money for his dinner!
He decided from that point never to give
money to anybody just because the person
was claiming to be a beggar!
Beggars can be nasty!
There was a beggar he met while driving through
a holdup!
He had a crippled leg and walks with the aide of
a stick
The beggar came to his car to beg for money, he didn't
have enough to spare and he said so
The beggar got angry, took his stick and started hitting
the car!
He was so provoked! But what could he do but take it
on the chin and drive away!
It was a powerful lesson to him about human nature
Wickedness resides in every heart, especially
the hearts of any human being who has not given his
or life to Christ regardless of their physical
condition
He had seen people on their death beds holding on
to petty offences and refusing to forgive others
even as they were going to their grave!
A life without Christ is indeed darkness!
He walked into the supermarket and left 
without any further incidence
He forgot all about the matter
The following day, at about the same time
He was driving home and branched at a filling
station close to his house
Just as he was parking close to the dispenser
He saw them again!
Right in front of him (Not that close)
About five meters from his car
They were dressed in locally made "monkey suits"
They kept their eyes on him 
It was almost as if they made a bet not to blink
Immediately he saw them this time
He understood what it must be about
He walks in the realm of coincidences
He understood how the game is played!
He ignored them this time
He ordered for the fuel, paid with his card
and drove off!
If they were really that desperate, they would 
find another time and day
At least now they know that he knows
they want to have a word with him!
The following morning, at 9 AM
He went to a restaurant to have breakfast
Just as he was about to drive back to the office
He saw them again!
This time he walked up to them
The three of them were quite pretty
Tall, slim and well groomed
He: How can I help you
They: Silence...
He waited for a while, he turned to leave
One of them spoke: We couldn't locate your house,
we couldn't locate your office, we tried talking to
you in the dream but we couldn't! 
It's like you walk into a mist and then walk 
out of a mist (He was impatient by nature and the 
mention of his home and office was already pissing 
him off! He turned to look at them)
He (Snaps at them): What do you want?
Another one of them: Solomon, just give us 
Solomon
He: Solomon? (He couldn't remember any Solomon)
I don't understand what you are saying
One of them: A boy from "so and so" city, he was 
ours and suddenly we couldn't see him again
He: (Turns to leave) I don't know any Solomon
One of them: His mother called you and you spoke
with Him on the phone
He: Ooooooooooooooooooh! (Of course, he remembered 
Solomon very well! A sixteen-year-old young
man whose mother called from a prayer mountain 
somewhere in the south-west to complain that the young 
man's stomach started swelling up mysteriously and 
the problem had defied medical help! 
She dragged him to the prayer mountain to pray for a 
miracle and one of her relatives sent her a phone 
number to call! 
The mother called him and he prayed for both the mother
and her sick son
But he never met them and he didn't know what they 
looked like)
Solomon now belongs to the Lord!
One of them: That boy mocked me for being barren
I sent him on an errand and he refused to go! Solomon
sang a song of mockery and reproach for me! 
He deserved to be punished! (The lady was really
hurting, he could see tears in her eyes, her
voice was also shaky and teary)
He wanted to touch the one speaking on the shoulder,
 a gesture of care, but as soon as he extended his 
hand, the three of them moved back!
One of them: Don't touch us, sir! 
He: Oh! Sorry, I had forgotten you are darkness,
I am light! Is there anything else I can do for you?
One of them: What about Solomon?
He: He is now in indelible light, even I cannot
touch him!
He turned and walked away
They watched him go!
He had snatched their lawful captive from their jaws
And they were powerless to touch him
They could only protest because he allowed them to
And he could walk out on them at anytime
without fear of any form of danger!
He is a light and darkness couldn't comprehend him!
Three months later, one of them called
"Sir, she said, mo fe fi aye mi fun Jesu!"
(I want to give my life to Christ!)
He hed her to Christ immediately over the phone
What happened? He asked her
They are dead sir, the two of them, my sisters
How?
After we came back from Lagos we discovered
we couldn't return the bodies we borrowed
Even though you didn't touch us, we just
couldn't change again!
We did everything we were told to do, we offered
sacrifices and made fresh oaths
Yet we couldn't attend meetings or partake of
our gathering
Then "So and so" fell ill and died four days ago, 
"The one that was offended by Solomon" died this
morning!
That was why I called sir! I don't want to die!!!
He promised her she wouldn't die again.
He directed her to a church in her community
When she got there, he spoke with the pastor
She was baptised and discipled
Darkness was made light!

The lady became a believer on March 3, 2019
She is still alive and full of the Holy Spirit

The wages of darkness is death
The wages of light is eternal life
