THE LIFELINE
You will come on the app and call your father’s betters "ode" or "mumu". Someone that can single handedly eradicate poverty from your lineage and the person must not respond because she is holding a government office.
Later, your father will now come Into DM begging for your school fees or visa fees or a letter of recommendation or support for his business etcetera. (This has happened to me more than 20 times, and I kept the receipts). I will now ask for the name of the child and check the child's handle and I would now see it is the same child that has oral diarrhea whose father is pleading for support for.
Since I am not a government official, I will now tell the father what his son or daughter did on social media, the Father will now say, "Ha, brother Gbenga, don't be angry because of Jesus." Me I will now think of Jesus truly and help that same child out.
But I will tell his daddy or mummy or both to bring him to me first; when I see him, I will now say, "Say what you typed to my face." The child will now kneel down or prostrate and say, "I am sorry brother Gbenga." I will now laugh and say "You can disagree with me without insulting me.”
I have nothing against people disagreeing with me, it is Biblical as proven by Genesis 11, but for someone who has never met me to be calling me names, it reflects more on their upbringing than mine.
I would naturally block anyone who cannot engage in a proper conversation without engaging in insults.
Once your parent or older brother or friend brings your case to me for help and I see that you have been blocked, it automatically means, ‘You have run afoul of my own engagement rules.’
I have always been the blessing and giver on the Twitter app.
One guy wrote to me claiming it is possible someone sowed a seed into my ministry, I replied with all confidence that it is impossible.
The last time I asked people to give regarding a cause, all those who turned up got 20x what they sent. It was deliberate. I wanted to bless some people, so I said let's give to children of missionaries. The four people who sent a token all got instant credits of ten times what they sent.
I have receipts. I am not a taker. I can say what I like. I owe nobody a follow back and I am not pleading to be followed. I live my life on my terms independent of circumstances in all things.
So, the standard you attach to the pastors you feed and sow seeds to does not apply to me. Check my timeline and see wonders. God is my eternal supply. When I was reading what many were doing to that lady that replied someone who called her mumu by calling the person “Ode” and how many of you started retweeting and dragging her like wild jackals, I laugh at your ignorance.
You may need her help tomorrow. The social media is a house of receipts. When you need it, you may find yourself not getting it over a reply or a retweet.
What you cannot say to her face, don't hide behind a phone and say it.
I am very confident that if I stand anywhere on any given day, many of the things some people have said to me here, they wouldn't dare say it to my face.
I am very sure of that.
BE WISE! Engage without insulting others Let your conversation will salted and measured.
A stranger today may be your ladder to a higher place tomorrow.
Don't short change yourself.
