His mother told him all he needed to know 
about his future at the age of ten!
His mother sat him down on his birthday 
and explained to him why he couldn’t have 
a birthday party like other children who
were his age mates in their estate.
They were living in the staff quarters of 
a rich man for whom his father worked 
as a gardener.
His mother also worked for the same man 
as a laundry keeper and cleaner.
They were surrounded by plenty but 
they were poor!
The other families threw elaborate parties 
for their 10-year-olds but they couldn’t afford 
to share something as cheap as biscuits and 
sweets! 
Things were very tight!
But his mother had found a solution to their 
poverty.
According to his mother, they suffered so much 
as a family at one point that his father had to go 
to the village to consult the wise folks who 
helps to align the path of mortals with wealth 
and favour. 
The wise ones told his father that the star
of the family was already set for a big break 
but it will depend on their first child!
It will be through the first child that the family 
will breakthrough!
The only warning they have to heed was simple!
That first child must marry one of the 
priestesses of the groove! 
If he doesn’t, money and wealth will always
 be a stranger to them!
Wow!
His father returned home with the news and 
they decided to prepare him for the future 
foretold!
That same month, his father took him to 
the village for the first time! 
His father wanted him to become familiar 
with the priestesses and their way of life!
Since he was going to marry one of them, 
nothing should be left to chance.
As they traveled on and on, his father filled 
his heart with mesmerizing tales of how 
these priestesses were a gift of God to 
only a few people whose life God wants 
to bless!
He was very young and had no option but 
to believe his father!
He was also very bright and he gained admission 
into the University to study engineering at 
the age of sixteen!
The signs were there from his childhood 
that he was going to be very successful 
in life!
He was exceptionally brilliant and was 
on a government scholarship from primary 
school!
As he grew, he saw his parents' fixation on 
the prophecy and warnings of the village 
wise folks for what it was.
A sham!
He didn’t need any priestess to be successful!
He was already set on a path of success.
His parents couldn’t stop reminding him of his 
obligation and commitment to marry a grove 
priestess!
He didn’t have the boldness to tell his 
parents off even after he had come to realize 
it was all a sham!
He just played along.
He graduated and was retained as an 
assistant lecturer while he pursued his 
Master's degree.
He met a lady and fell in love, but he 
wouldn’t dare tell his parents the truth!
He couldn’t even tell them he got a job.
He knew they were itching to bring him a 
fortune priestess as a wife! 
The lady he met was a believer.
She was also a Master's degree student.
They met during a field trip for their project.
She was his wife!
He knew this as soon as he saw her.
It was as if his heart sought her out
And without saying so much, he noticed 
that she gravitated towards him.
They were meant to be together!
He wanted his parents to accept her
His parents had suffered too much in life 
not to enjoy the blessings of God upon 
his life.
If the seed that had been planted in 
them by the wise folks was such a 
stronghold,
He needed God to pull it down somehow! 
He discussed the issue with the lady.
He told her everything.
He wanted her to pray!
That same week, the grove people sent 
a message to his father.
They said they could see that his son has 
made it and was ready to marry but is 
making moves to break the oath they 
swore to keep! 
His father sent for him.
When he got home, he found one of 
the priestesses!
His father had taken one into the 
house for him.
His father told him they would take 
care of the priestess.
All he had to do was sleep with her 
and consummate the affair!
His father begged and pleaded all day!
“You have six younger ones, you are 
the light that was promised! 
These people helped nurture you! 
The education you sailed through 
smoothly was as a result of their sacrifices 
and prayers!
You cannot walk away from this at this 
moment!
Your light will be snuffed.
You will die!"
He had no room to maneuvre.
His parents were wrong!
He knew this, but they had too much emotion 
invested in the whole issue.
Their ignorance was also a strong motivation
They were attributing his success to some 
illiterates who had no idea what he did to 
become successful.
He was at a cross road!
With every passing minute, the only option 
he seemed to have was to sleep with the 
priestess and leave
If he did that, he would make a bad 
situation worse!
It would be temporary joy for his parents 
but permanent sadness for him
He called his girlfriend and explained.
His girlfriend sent him the phone number of 
the Brother in Jeans and T-shirt.
He sent the Brother in Jeans and T-shirt 
a lengthy message.
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt called him.
They talked.
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt was in 
Kwara state for a ministration.
He was in the South-south part of the 
country!
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt led him 
to Christ over the phone!
After he gave his life to Christ, the
 brother in Jeans and T-shirt prayed with him.
He got filled with the Holy Spirit!
He spoke in the Holy Ghost for a long time!
Then the Brother in Jeans and T-shirt told 
him to get out of his room, go to the 
priestess and hug her in a very friendly 
and loving manner!
Then hold her hands and tell her you 
will like to pray with her so that your home 
will start off on a good ground.
Hold her hands and pray in tongues!
What! 
He did it!
His parents and the priestess were 
watching television in the sitting room, 
he walked up to them and told them he 
would like to pray with the priestess!
They switched off the television set.
He held her hands, and started praying 
in tongues!
The priestess screamed... 
He didn’t let go of the hand.
The priestess started manifesting!
He still held on to her hand.
His parents were watching the drama, 
the priestess started barking like a dog, 
struggling to be free!
He held on to her!
It lasted for about thirty minutes!
When he finally released the priestess, 
she fell backwards and was still for a 
long time.
After about ten minutes, she opened 
her eyes, sat up and propped herself 
to her feet!
She walked into the room, carried her 
bag and left without a word!
His parents just sat there, watching silently 
as the frame unfolded.
The wise folks didn’t send any message 
to his parents again!
He was free!
He finished his Masters and brought 
home his intended.
They got married in 2018.
They both departed for UK where he was 
offered a scholarship for his Ph.D in 2018!
In July 2019, she delivered a baby girl. 

Ps: Anyone who has seen your glorious 
destiny and is working hard to reap from it, 
take advantage of it at your detriment, 
truncate it or destroy it will be stopped in 
their tracks just as the angel of the Lord 
stopped Balaam!
Pray always in the Holy Ghost, give no 
room to fear!
