The first time he went to visit her at home
He saw the banana grove right behind
their house
He didn't give it a second thought
Because they were right in the middle of
the city
He was renewing his mind and was determined
not to allow the old superstitious beliefs
take a hold of him
He grew up in the village and a banana grove
growing in a wrong location is a red flag for
anyone with any type of spiritual sense
Banana groves are very susceptible to
demonic activities
He knew this even as an unbeliever
But he had given his life to Christ
He was full of the Holy Spirit
Demonic activities are no longer the
focus of his life
He was in the light!
He persuaded himself it was nothing
The family he came to marry from was
a very Christian family
All the children were doing very well
and there was nothing to be suspicious
about
To be candid, his guts raised an alarm
But he had to pull down that imagination
One must not see demons in everything
It takes away the joy of living a normal
life
It leads to unnecessary anxiety and 
fear
He kept his eyes on Jesus!
His wife was the first of five children
She was thirty years old
They met at the church choir and hit it off
He had visited her at her parent's house
several times
But he never saw the banana grove until
that morning when the two families came
together for their introduction
He didn't know why he walked towards
that side of the house
What was he looking for?
It was Phronesis?
(Phronesis (Ancient Greek: φρόνησῐς, 
romanized: phrónēsis) is an ancient Greek 
word for a type of wisdom or intelligence. 
It is more specifically a type of wisdom 
relevant to practical action, implying both 
good judgement and excellence of character 
and habits, sometimes referred to as

The Holy Spirit wanted him to see it and do
something about it
The problem was, he didn't know what
to do!
His spiritual sense was vibrating badly, so
he put it down to superstition and fear
The introduction got done
He went home with his bride
After the first month of marriage, he
noticed something strange
Once his wife collects her monthly pay
everything goes to her parents!
Every dime!
What?
They were supposed to be building a
home together
They were supposed to be starting
a family
It became an argument
His wife insisted she and her siblings
had made commitments to remodeling
her parent's house and furnishing it
He protested
He was not the richest guy in the world
Their combined salary would be barely
enough to keep up with the bills 
And all she was determined to do was 
take away resources from their young
family to remodel her parent's house
It was their first fight, and it was very
ugly!
She won!
It was her money and she didn't come
into the marriage to contribute financially
She was supposed to be an help-meet
not a provider!
She would do whatever she wanted with
her money
That was her final position!
It strained their relationship badly
He was very unhappy about it
Three months after their wedding
His wife suddenly told him she wanted to
go home for holidays
"I have never stayed longer than three
months without visiting my parents,
I want to go home and spend two weeks!
I will be going to work from there"
He couldn't believe it
His wife was going back to her parent's
house for holidays
What had he gotten himself into?
Since she was just informing him
and not seeking for permission from
him
He watched her go
After two weeks, she called him to
come and pick her
He got to her parent's house just in 
time for lunch
As they settled down to eat
His mother said "My children, that I
raised with my sweat and money can
never leave this house and abandon
me like other people's children do!
I saw to that a long time ago!
Family is everything!"
He knew her mother was stylishly
informing him not to come between
her and her children
He got the message
Her family comes first, then their
home
Her other siblings got a worse deal
Though they all got good jobs and
were beautiful
None of them got a husband
All they did was live at home with their
parents and take care of their parents
To their parents it was fine
Her mother would say "I cannot train
children through sweat and blood only
for a stranger to take them away in
the name of marriage"
Needless to say, his marriage was very
frustrating
It was as if he was a partial husband
His wife's commitment was totally split
His was not an ideal marriage
He desperately wanted to leave the
marriage
But he was wary of what people will say
He was a believer and had to suffer
in silence because the church frowns
at divorce
Seven years after they got married
Her immediate younger sister came
to see him in the office
She said she wanted some counsel
He paid her courtesy attention
He really didn't want to get too much
into their weird family issue
But her sister said she had no one else
to talk to
So he listened
Her sister: I heard my mother speaking
one of her big aunties! My big aunty's
children are all married and abroad! They 
send money to her but they do not come
home often and my big aunty is lonely and
missing their company! So my big aunty
comes to our house often to spend time
with my mother!
As usual, my aunty was lamenting and
my mother told her how she was able
to keep her children bound to her
My mother said she didn't want to
suffer in vain and therefore she went to
elders
The elders gave her seven banana trees
to plant in her compound and she was
given a guarantee that as long as the
banana trees thrive in her compound,
her children will never be able to do 
without seeing her and spending time 
with her!
Sir, i have gone to many places to pray
without making any headway
When i overheard this conversation, 
I went to see a prophet
The prophet said I should come and see
you and talk to you
How were you able to marry one of us?
Teach me what you did
I want to get married too
I am thirty years old sir, I have never had
a real relationship
I am lonely and i cry myself to sleep
every night
Please help me!...
He just watched her cry her heart out
He didn't know what to say or do
He met their sister in the church choir
He didn't do anything spectacular
to marry her
He even wished he didn't marry her
sister as things stand
He told her sister he would pray about it
Her sister left
He sent a message to the Brother in 
Jeans and T-shirt
They have known each other for many
years and often share supernatural
experiences
What do i do with this information?
He asked
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt sent
him some scriptures
"Tell her to read these scriptures out loud
and command the banana grove to
wither and die
The family will be set free!"
He sent his sister-in-law the scriptures
She read them as instructed
One month later, her immediate younger
sister brought home her husband
That same month, she met a guy who
had lived in their estate for many years
but somehow never saw her until
that season
Within two years, all the children were
married
The Banana Grove didn't wither
One morning, while sitting alone and
watching television in the house
Their mother went to the store, picked
a cutlass went to the Banana Grove
and cut everything down!
It had failed to deliver on its promise

Ps: Insecurity, low self-esteem, jealousy,
and other emotional issues can easily be
given demonic coloration, if not checked!
Today it would seem as if you have made
the right decision by protecting yourself
Tomorrow, you will be labeled a witch!
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt had to
step into this family before the children
who were once bound started loving
their mother again!
