They have nothing in common but their scars
He was abused as a child, molested by his
Father's younger sister when he was six
She was also abused as a child
Molested by many relatives who used to
throng to their house when she was a 
child
Her father was a rich man
Relatives treated her father like the palm tree
Everybody comes with a hose and keg to
take what they can of the juice
Her father was a very generous man
His generosity drew many relatives close
and that was how she became a victim
The problem with being sexually abused
is the bad things it does to you later in life
There is a sort of delayed effect it has
on the victim's mind
For him, it was the fear of intimacy
He could engage and discuss but he was
love proof
He couldn't commit to anything emotionally
demanding or engulfing
He couldn't afford to lose control
Love takes away control from its victims
He couldn't afford to let that happen
For her, it was the same
Sex was sex
She enjoyed it and sometimes crave it
But it didn't matter to her who she had it 
with
Married, single, young, or old
As long as such is a male and had enough
money to make her respect him a little
She would have the sex and move on
She didn't kiss on the lips
She didn't do anything oral
She didn't do anything risky
She wouldn't commit herself to a relationship
at once
She usually slept with the same set of
people over and over
It was her pattern
Once you were in
You get to be in again unless you decide
you don't want to be with her anymore
Her circle of sex partners was tight
She had about six at most and three at the 
least per season
They met on twitter
Somehow they got talking
She was drawn to him
He was equally seriously drawn to her
He didn't treat sex as cavalier as she did
He slept with only one partner always
Unless something happened and he had
to walk away from a relationship, he
was not a cheat
He simply didn't know how to be unfaithful
They were meant to be just friends
She respected him too much to get
involved with him
He cared too much to get into a relationship
with her
They talked a lot
Told each other everything
It was a relief of such for both
To find in each other a confidant and friend
They chatted at first once every other
week
She would get into his DM and say Hi
He would get into her DM and say hello
She told him about her relationship
The one she really wanted to work that
failed because the guy impregnated 
another girl
When the pain of the whole affair hit her
She called him
He was a good listener
She didn't know he would help her heal
so quickly
He was also a good counselor
She had planned to confront her ex and
say all sorts of evil things
He cautioned her against it
She had come to respect him to the 
extent that she obeyed him without
any reservation
They started exchanging messages on
Whatsapp
Playful videos and calls
He was in a relationship at that time
His girlfriend had insecurity issues and 
accused him of cheating with both
animate and inanimate things
It was as if the two of them were doomed
with crappy choices in love
Distance was an issue 
He was In Lagos
She was in Abuja
He was a journalist
She was a lawyer
She told him about her one night stands
He told her about his girlfriend's
latest "jealosy" exploits
His girlfriend was a stage full of drama
He had new gists everyday
She guessed he stayed with her because
he was aware of his own shortcomings too
His girlfriend overcompensated for his lack
of affection
She didn't even notice that he didn't
really care about her
They had talked on the phone and all
for eighteen months before he came
to Abuja
He was in Abuja for two days
He stayed with some friends
She went to see him  there
The sight of him was a wonder
She was dressed in an expensive gown
and he couldn't keep his eyes off her
She knew he liked what he saw
Even though she had no seductive
intention when she was dressing
She really wanted them to like each
other away from the "phone" and 
"social media" conversations
They spent the whole day talking
His flight was for 6pm
She got to see him at around 10am
They had a good chemistry
She was impressed by his wits
He also had that glint in his eyes
She was sure if they got into an
isolated place, something would happen
between them
He returned to Lagos
Two months later, his jealous girlfriend
met somebody more deserving of her love
He was alone again
She had met another guy at the time
A married guy who just came on to her
at the wrong time of the month
She gisted him about it
Work took him to Abuja for the second
time
This time he was lodged in a hotel
She went to see him
The isolation she feared happened
He restrained himself
He told her he wouldn't touch her
without her say so
It was not what she expected
Most guys are takers
She had known only takers all her life
But she wasn't too sure he was being
nice with that gesture
Guys who do not want to commit or
get attached unnecessarily always leaves
such decisions for the lady to make
It makes it easy for them to walk away
"i didn't touch you until you told me to"
"You were the one asking for it"
"I only slept with you to please you"
"We both know it was just sex, nothing more"
She was with him till 2AM
They went clubbing together
She drove him to her favourite lounge
They drank and talked
She dropped him at the hotel and drove
home not sure what to make of the 
encounter
They had three days 
They could have been having sex for
hours already
She found him puzzling
The next day, she wore a gown
One of those types that brings the rod
of Moses out of it's hiding place
When she got to his room, she saw his
reaction
He looked primed to pounce on her
And yet he turned away and sat on the
chair
She couldn't believe it
What was wrong with him
She walked up to him and asked him what
was wrong
it was the cue he needed
He took off her gown and got her screaming
in minutes
He later told her he does not ask a lady
for sex
He just couldn't
Unless she comes to him, it cannot happen
WOW!
He said it was one of the reasons his relationships
don't last
The ladies expect him to be all over them
He just couldn't
It was weird
She, the lady, who was used to being chased
had to chase him
She shrugged it off
They had only one day left and he would be
gone
She was just taking full advantage of the
time because she didn't know when they
would see each other again
She was with him till 10 am the next morning
He left for the airport
She went home
They continued their usual talking routine
on the phone
They did a lot of video calls
A month later, a friend of hers invited
her to a church programme
The brother in Jeans and T-shirt was
ministering
Suddenly during the programme the
Brother in Jeans and T-shirt started 
singing in the Holy Spirit
Something started moving in her tummy
It was hot and painful
She couldn't help but cry out in agony
The brother in jeans and T-shirt noticed
her
He stepped down from the altar and
walked into the crowd
He pulled her to the altar and told her to
sit
He continued his ministration
The pain ceased
He laid hands on her and declared her
free
He prophesied that her past has been erased
He said "The Lord has set you in a garden
of fulfillment! 
Your marital destiny is settled"
She said AMEN!
He laid hands on her and she received
the Baptism of the Holy Spirit
Everything changed!
She knew it right afterward
She was gushing and deliriously happy
She had become born again
She waited to see him after the service
He led her to Christ!
Wow!
Just them, she saw her man, seating at
the back of the hall
Crying his heart out
The hall was emptying and he just sat
there
She didn't know what to do
Someone called the attention of the
brother in Jeans and T-shirt
He walked up to her man and they
started talking
She just sat there on the altar
She was too dazed to scream!
Some minutes later, the brother in
Jeans and T-shirt and her man walked
towards her on the altar
Her man was crying
The brother in Jeans and t-shirt was
smiling
The brother in jeans and t-shirt said 
"This is your man?"
She nodded!
Her man said "I got a job in Abuja!
I wanted it to be a surprise so i didn't
tell her all these while.
I just got to Abuja an hour ago, 
when I got to her house
i was told she had gone out!
I called her friend and her friend told
me to take uber over to this place
I arrived almost at the end of the
service
But then, something happened to me
I cannot explain it
It felt like my heart was on fire
and my stomach was all warm!
The bother in Jeans and t-shirt told
him it was the power of the Holy Spirit
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt led him to Christ
her man got filled with the Holy Spirit
They both walked into the hall unsaved
They walked out speaking in tongues!
WOW!
Things changed rapidly after that
They joined a church and started growing
Six months later they got married

PS: This event happened in 2019
The couple lives in Abuja
She is pregnant despite having hormonal
issues that doctors claimed might make
it difficult for her to conceive
The Holy Spirit changed their lives

The Holy Spirit is a wonder worker
He orchestrates events in such a manner
that awes everybody
When he walks into chaos
He makes a wonder of it
The wonders i have seen him do are
too numerous to tell
