GSW on the Holy Spirit
GSW's Raw notes: A peek
The Temple and you
The temple of the Old Testament had three main features namely:
The Holy of Holies
The Holy Place
The Outer court
The Holy of Holies represents your Spirit.
The Holy Place represents your soul.
The Outer court represents your Body.
The Holy of Holies is the place reserved for the High Priest to offer sacrifices to God once a year.
It is the secret place where God dwells, the angel of the Lord appeared here to Zachariah and there are stories of priests who enter this place and return dead because they had not
consecrated themselves.
We serve God with our spirit
When a man is born again, it is his spirit that is born again because he can only serve God in Spirit. You can be born again and still think the wrong things you used to think or feel the same pain you feel in your body. This is because the spirit comes to the knowledge of God first and then the scriptures say that after the Spirit of a man is quickened, he or she must renew his mind (Change his thinking) and then speak to his or her body (Putting the body under) in
order to grow into a perfect man.
You would have seen someone who is born again who lies, cheats, gets angry easily, is full of jealousy, envy, bitterness and wrath etcetera.
Such a person will be producing the fruits of the flesh while claiming to be born again if he or she does not agree with the Holy Spirit for the renewal of his or her mind.
Such a person must deliberately speak to his mind through the Spirit and condition it to think the right thoughts and act the right way in the name of Jesus. Such a person must speak to his or her body also, telling it to resist pain and works of the flesh and do only the bidding of the spirit.
It is the spirit that is born again, but you cannot live an impactful saved life if only your spirit is born again.
The innermost past of the temple was the most Holy Place, it was separated from the
second part with a thick curtain, that was where the mercy seat was, the ark was there, the cherubim and seraphim were there.
The High priest comes here with the sacrifice of blood once a year to present it on behalf of the people. People never saw that place. The High priest sees the glory of God here.
Your spirit is the Holy of Holies today
The Ark of God is there
What is in the ark? The Holy manna, the ten commandments, and Aaron's rod.
The Holy manna represents the Word of God from above (Rhema)
The ten commandments represent the guiding light- the instructions of the Holy Spirit written upon the tablets of our hearts.
The rod of Aaron represents the priesthood ministry of the spirit over the soul and the body.
The High Priest (The Holy Spirit or the spirit of Jesus is there making intercession)
The Holy Place is where the priests were (This represents your soul).
This is your seat of reason, your key to interaction with the material world.
The seat of the mind, the will and the emotion, you must not allow any of these three to rule you.
You must be ruled from The Holy of Holies-The Spirit. You must serve God with your Spirit.
You must put these under the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
They had the candle sticks - Representing the Human Spirit (The Spirit of man is the candle of the Lord.) there was also the table of the shew bread - Representing the word (Logos)
The altar of incense - Representing Prayer.
Your will must be taught, disciplined and subject to the will of God. Your mind must be renewed to do the desire of the Spirit. You then condition your emotions to respond to the Word of God and dominate it.
The Manna (Rhema) begins to brood upon (shew bread) the Logos in your mind and give you understanding. The incense represents our prayers. Our prayers start from our soul and ascend into our spirits as incense which ascends to the court of the Spirit within us.
The soul is used in two ways in the bible namely:
-The totality of your being
-The tool of the Human Spirit
The Human spirit is also sometimes called the soul, the context of usage helps us to know what is being referred to when we read the scriptures.
The Outer court had the brazen altar -Priests slaughter the animals here (You pray in your secret place here.)
The lever - You pray in the open here and live your life in the open view of all here
This is the totality of the constitution of the believer as taught to me in the Night by the Holy Spirit.
