Shedding Scales

They started having sex in their
early teens
Their mothers were friends
Their mothers were also single parents
Her mother had her for an Alhaji
She was the child of the mistress
the Alhaji impregnated but refused
to bring into his harem

father's mother was the witch who

right thing because she knew
once her mother got into that family,

a cosmetics shop
She ran the shop by stocking it and 
never spending a penny from it
The shop was her retirement package
which she continued to fund heavily 
every month from the money she made
from her social engagements
The shop was her mother's source of
pride
She would tell anyone who cared to listen
how many millions the wares in her shop
cost and how much she had in the bank
They were not poor
They lived in a three-bedroom flat that
was tastefully furnished
Her mother never kept a lover for more 
than a year
The lovers came in loaded financially
and left light
Her mother would do anything to bleed
her victim like a vampire
As soon as the lover stopped dropping
heavy cash, her mother would dump
him
This was the reason her mother did a
lot of charms and spells
The spells attracted the whales while
the charms kept them until they had
become bonny fishes
She grew up seeing the men coming
and going
Sometimes she would witness the
bitter breakups
She knew her mother was the shark
and the men were the victims of
their own lust and demonic charms
She couldn't hate her mother but she
pitied many of her mother's victims
She knew it wouldn't be well with
such from the moment he stepped 
into their flat
Her mother's best friend lived in the
next compound to them
Her mother's best friend had four
children
Three girls and one boy
She was a single mother too and
was doing the same "men" business 
as her mother
She also had a shop where she sold
gift items, jewelry, and cosmetics
Her son was the one she started
sleeping with at fourteen
It began with the home works
She had issues with Mathematics and
he was a year ahead of her academically
Her mother encouraged her to go
to him for assistance
Sometimes he would come over to 
their flat, they would lie on the bed
and read

They were like siblings

She couldn't bring herself to sleep

mother
She gained admission into University
of Lagos
He gained admission into LAUTECH
They would travel to each other's
school every other month
They would have sex and catch up
but they were not dating
They were very comfortable taking 
to each other about the other potentials
in their lives
She knew about his rich fat girlfriends
He knew her bookworm suitors
She didn't mind that he had other
lovers
She just couldn't bring herself to sleep
with anyone else but him
She couldn't marry him
Both families would kick against it
and yet she couldn't leave him be
By the time she graduated from the
University, she had been having sex
with him for ten years
Her relationships were nothing to
write home about
He just fleeces rich ladies mercilessly
 (Just what his mother was doing to 
men) and dumps them at will
He was the only constant in her life
as she was the only constant in his 
life too
She was posted to the Anambra State
for her NYSC
By the time she finished her service year
He was married
She didn't say a word about it, not even 
congratulations
He came to visit her three weeks after
she returned from service
They both tried to keep the meeting
platonic but they failed
He was with her all night
Phones switched off
He got everybody worried but it
was the beginning of the end of his
marriage
The marriage didn't last six months
He was just dissatisfied with his wife
It was the same way she felt about 
every guy that had ever come into
her life apart from him
When she was twenty-eight years old,
she summoned courage and told her
mother about him
Her mother almost ran out of her skin
She didn't know what the big deal
was
Later that night, her mother called her
and asked her to tell her everything 
about her relationship with him
She told her mother everything she
could remember
Her mother told her mother how it
started
After hours of talking in hush tones
her mother told her it was the bed
Her mother said "I had something
done to my bed. Any man that had
sex with me on it would never even
think of or look at another woman
unless i set him free. It is not a love
portion because nobody can really
control love but it was very potent
for lust and other carnal desires
When you had sex with him on that
bed you forged a sexual bond with 
him.
The problem here was you were the
one who couldn't even look at another
man not to talk of falling in love and
getting married
What you have with each other is
not natural and the bond has to be
broken"
It made a lot of sense
She couldn't stand him or the thought
of getting married to him
She had thought about the possibility
several times
It always nauseated her
And yet, she couldn't stop sleeping
with him
Her mother told her she would make
inquiries about how to break the 
demonic bond
She went to see him, they had sex
She told him what his mother said
He agreed with her but told her he
would never use any fetish thing
or follow her to any fetish place
As long as the spell can be broken
without him, it is fine
Typical of the devil, her mother
returned with the report that the
only way the spell can be broken 
was if the two of them (She and him)
follow her to a village to meet the
herbalist that did it
It would require some money and
the two of them eating a concoction
out of the same plate at a shrine
He said no!
She begged and pleaded
He refused to do it
They stopped having sex after they
became aware of the whole demonic
connection but she still couldn't feel
anything for anybody
She went to many churches for help
The pastors told her it was soul tie,
it was a spiritual bond, it was a demonic
hold, it was a covenant agreement and
so on
They gave her the definition and made
her fast, pray, confess, change her
mode of dressing and hairstyle and 
even sow some seed and so on
Yet, the problem persisted
Indeed, the Kingdom of God is
not in mere words and religion
He traveled to the USA one year
later
He left without giving anybody the
details of his whereabouts
She was thirty-three when he left
To her, his departure was a death 
sentence
It felt as if he had condemned her into
a loveless and meaningless life
She wrote to the brother in Jeans and
T-shirt on Twitter narrating her story
They met at Theikos Doxa Evangelical
church after the Inaugural Sunday
service
She gave her life to Christ and got
filled with the Holy Spirit
He joined his hand with hers and they
prayed in the spirit
Suddenly she saw strong scales, like
the bark of a tree, falling off her body
She shouted and cried for joy
She was free!
She felt light and full of joy in her body
The brother in Jeans and T-shirt told
her she has been set free to live her
life to fullest
She got engaged in June 2020
She met her man at an event staged
by the company she works for during
the lockdown
Her wedding will be held on the
24th of September 2020.

PS: When believers understand the
vitality and the totality of the gospel
They will discover that there were
doors they knocked by the flesh while 
claiming to be living by the spirit
Nothing has been denied unto you
Daughter
You are waiting for nothing except
by choice
Open the eyes within and see the
fullness of the fulfilments you have
in Him

Christ.
All you need to teach your members
is Christ
When you have learned Christ for 
yourself, you will see that He is
a topic that can never be exhausted
if taught every day forever
It is because you have not learned
Christ that you itch at teaching strange
realities to the children of light
Repent today!
Light does not need to know the 
darkness
It is sinners that are called to
repentance, not the upright to sin
Believers do not need to study 
demons
All we need to learn is Christ
Ephesians 4:
20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 If so be that ye have heard him, 
and have been taught by him, as the 
truth is in Jesus:
22 That ye put off concerning the 
former conversation the old man, 
which is corrupt according to the 
deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of 
your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, 
which after God is created in 
righteousness and true holiness.
