The Proposal

Him: I've been coming to check on you for a while, I am serious about our discussion, please consider my proposal

His crush: I am sorry if it seems as if I don’t have your time but I am really not interested

He: Okay (Leaves) Meets her roommate on way

Roommate: Did you see her?

He: Yes. Nothing has changed. She said there is no hope

Roommate: I will talk to her. You know we ladies like to form. I will sound her out for you

He: Ok

She: Can I have your phone number?

They exchanged numbers and he left

Weeks later she called. They arranged to meet. They met.

She told him she didn’t want to tell him the news over the phone, the lady has someone else and is definitely not interested.

He took it in good faith.

She left but they continue to exchange calls once in a while

Out of the blue his crush called. She went to see her man and found out she was not his no 1. Would he please come and pick her? she was stranded. He drove three straight hours. Found her in tatters. The other lady really did a number on her. She also seized her bag and shoes

He emphasized with her. Drove her back to her rented apartment. He left. Roommate called.

Roommate: Why is it you guys are so gullible? This is a lady that hates your guts and you drove all night to rescue her from under a man! What if you had been injured or had an accident?

He: I just went to help out a friend in need.

Roommate: Are you at home?

He: Yes.

She came. It was raining and she was drenched. She came in. Went into his bathroom. Took off the wet clothes. Returned In a towel.

Lightning and thunder struck at once, fire everywhere

She left the next morning. One hour later his crush came by, she wanted to personally come around to thank him and apologize for any embarrassment she might have caused him. He said it was fine.

She cried and told him how badly the ordeal broke her and her heart

He consoled her

Same evening, Roommate arrived with pizza. She knocked, he opened the door, saw her roommate.

Crush: What are you doing here?

Roommate: In my boyfriend's house?

Crush: Who is your boyfriend?

He: Ladies...

It was as if he struck a match. Inferno!!!

They beat each other blue black

He refused to see either of them again. Three months later they graduated. He was posted to Kaduna. Roommate was posted to Kaduna.

One thing led to another..

He proposed, she accepted, they planned

His parents called

He rushed home

His crush and her parent await

She was pregnant

He married his crush

They have now been married for four years

Roommate was devastated but she moved on

She is also happily married
