The Snare

It was his girlfriend that first had the vision
She saw him in a marketplace
Faeces, vomit, urine flies and all sorts of 
irritating kinds of stuff were all over his body
Everybody gathered around him
It was a show of shame
She saw herself in the dream
Crying profusely because of him
She didn't identify with him in that vision
Nobody did!
A voice said in her ears just before the vision 
cleared off
"He is in a snare, ask him to walk out of the snare, 
he is in a bind, tell him to walk out now"
When she woke up from the vision
She could still smell his stench
It was so real and vivid, that she had to change 
her bedsheet
She was so uncomfortable, even after then that
she had to take a hot shower before she could
get back to sleep
The next morning, she went to see him
What are you involved in?
Have you dabbled into something?
Is there something you are doing?
Are you sure you have not dipped your
hand into something that will backfire?
He told her he had been walking the straight
and narrow path!
But she knew he was lying!
He was unemployed for several years
As a matter of fact, they both met at  
a multi-national company where they were
invited for a job interview!
She got the job, he didn't!
But they kept in touch and somehow ended up 
together
Eventually, he got a job at a government agency
 as a clerical staff
The pay wasn't so great but half bread is 
better than none!
They planned to be very thrifty, he had set
a target of two years for them to get married
He was in his late twenties and so was she!
She loved him with the whole of her heart!
Within six months of resumption, he bought
his first car
He told her it was a windfall of fortune
It didn't affect his savings in any way
His direct boss in the office had taken him
under his wings and bought him a car!
He proved it by taking her to the boss, just
so that she can say 'Thank you" on his behalf!
The line really fell unto him in pleasant
places!
He was moved to the investigations department
of the commission and suddenly he came into
money!
Within a year he had bought three cars and had
over 20 million in his savings account!
Sometimes he would transfer money into her account
for safekeeping!
He told her a lot of families and individuals
he helped in processing their pensions, gratuity
and other entitlements send him a token to say
Thank you!
It is not a bribe and it is not illegal!
But because he works with the government and
his account is subject to audit periodically
he had to use a neutral person's bank account
for the funds!
Once the coast is clear, he would send 
instructions on how to disburse the funds!
Sometimes such instruction would include his boss
and other colleagues in his office
This was more than enough proof to her of his
innocence!
If he was involved in anything illegal, the whole
department wouldn't be benefitting from it
Only a fool would steal and share the proceeds of
the theft with his entire department through
his girlfriend!
She couldn't believe how rich he became in a 
short time
Three weeks to their wedding, he bought a 
Twin duplex (Fully paid for and furnished)
in an ultra-modern estate
She was practically swimming in money!
He always called her his lucky charm
He said it was when she came into his life that
his fortune changed from bad to good!
He loved her with the whole of his heart
and his attitude towards her didn't change
in spite of his sudden change of status!
She knew God had answered her prayers!
She had been praying for a leading of the
Holy Spirit concerning a life partner
for several months before she met him
She accepted to go out with him because
she was desperate!
No lady in her right mind would jump into
a relationship with a dirt broke jobless man!
But her mother had been on her neck to get
maried and she had to throw  her mother a bone!
Her mother went into her closet immediately
to seek God's face about the union
After three days, her mother told her
the union is a very good one
Indeed, her mother is a prophet of God in her
own right!
The speed at which everything changed was
miraculous!
Until she had that dream!
The next day, after speaking with him, she
realised he was not as concerned as she was 
about the dream!
He disregarded it totally!
She sent him a message, asking him to please
pay urgent attention to her worries
because she couldn't shake the feeling that
there was a looming calamity ahead!
Two days later, on a Wednesday by 8 AM
she took him to the office of the Brother in
Jeans and T-shirt!
While they were at the reception, waiting to see
him, he got a phone call!
His boss and some other members of his department
had been arrested by the EFCC!
They had been accused of defrauding the government
by claiming the entitlements of dead
retirees!
He started shivering and sweating!
He didn't know that was what his boss was doing
He said his boss would sen him out to investigate
certain retirees whose entitlements are within
a particular range!
In a week he usually cleared at least ten to fourteen 
of such cases and he would turn in his report
He would give the current status of the retiree
whether dead or alive!
A few weeks later, a huge deposit would be made into
his girlfriend's account and she would later
transfer the money to the members of the department
with the lion share going to his boss!
His boss told him it was (1) Commission for speedily
clearing the files and a token of appreciation
from the retirees
He didn't know they were committing a crime
By the time he was through, she was lamenting
and crying profusely!
They eventually saw the Brother in Jeans and T-shirt
He listened to the story and called a lawyer friend
They talked at length, weighing the pros and cons
Eventually, it was decided that he should 
calculate everything he had ever taken from the
racket and willingly refund everything!
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt told him it was a 
tactics of the devil to offer a lesser alternative
to God's plan and lure glorious destinies into the
path of destruction by offering cheaper alternatives
that led to annihilation in the place of the set 
the manifestation of the promises of God in the life
of a believer
He had 30 million in his account, he sold the house
he bought and the three cars
This took three weeks and all that while he didn't
go home or to the office for fear of getting arrested
by the EFCC!
Once he had been able to raise the total amount, 
the approached EFCC and a deal was struck!
He was given a plea deal!
But he wasn't to turn to a state witness in any case
is name was taken off the wanted list as a suspect
and as a criminal!
He resumed afterwards!
The wedding had to be cancelled due to the problem
His boss and other members of his department
were sacked!
He was the only one who survived the purge!
Six months later, he was offered another job with
a multinational company!
His salary was twelve times what he earned with
the government and he would work as an expatriate
with the company outside the country
He took it!
They got married in July 2016 and left for Malaysia
They had since lived in other countries like
Ukraine, Norway, Germany and Canada!
He has become a senior management staff of the firm
Their marriage has been blessed with two children!

Stolen bread leads to many ills
