Threading the Needle

The phone call came at that time of the month 
when there was barely enough money left of 
her salary to keep her till the next payday! 
Her mother was very sick and needed serious 
medical attention. 
The person that called her was a stranger! 
Her mother had no-one but her! 
Not one! 
When she got to the office the next morning 
she approached her boss, she needed a loan 
urgently! 
Her boss said she didnt have enough to spare 
She wrote to the office for a loan, she was told 
she wasn't eligible for one because she was 
contracted to the firm through an agency 
She approached the agency, she was told 
she had only been with the for a month and 
was not eligible for a loan! Her roommate 
was broke! 
Yet, her phone didnt stop ringing! 
The pressure was enough to detonate an 
atomic bomb! 
Her mother had always been sickly but not 
to this extent! 
Three days after the first phone call, her 
roommate and some friends gathered 
some money for her. It would be enough 
to get her to her village in the east but 
not enough to bring her back to the city 
or take care of her mother. 
She cried all night! 
Mercy came through for her! 
She set out early the next morning! 
When she got to the motor park, 
she met the shock of her life! 
The bus fare had somehow increased by 25% 
She didnt have enough to take her home after all! 
She sat at the motor park, wishing heaven 
would just collapse on her 
The devil is a liar! 
She remembered seeing a brothel on her 
way to the motor park 
She felt she had no option 
She took a taxi back to the brothel 
When she got to the brothel, she saw three guys 
drinking in the bar 
One was sitting alone and two were sitting 
together 
She approached the one sitting alone 
She told him she needed help 
She narrated her ordeal 
He checked her out as she spoke 
She knew what was on his mind 
She knew it could come to that 
He told her he would give her the 
amount she needed to make up her 
transport fare 
But he wanted sex in exchange 
He didn't mince words! 
She agreed 
He got a room 
They had sex 
He paid her 
She left! 
She was fortunate to meet the same bus 
that was loading earlier 
She got to her village ten hours later 
She was taken directly to her mother 
She was with an herbalist 
The herbalist told her they had prepared a sacrifice 
The sacrifice must be carried by a woman 
who just had sex or who had sex within 
the last sunrise 
The sacrifice had to be carried immediately! 
She didnt think twice about it 
She carried the sacrifice, 
Her mother survived! 
She returned to the city a month later and 
forgot about it 
Four years later, he got married 
His wedding night was hell

That was the alternative he was given 
But he didn't know the particular lady 
He didn't know what to do!

 explained to him what it means to be a 
believer and become a new creation! 
After the explanation 
The husband said "Are you saying, If I accept 
Jesus as Lord and saviour now, 
I will be able to put the thread in the needle with ease?

The couple accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour 
The couple got filled with the Holy Spirit 
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt blessed 
the man and his wife! 
Their mortal bodies were quickened by the 
power of the Holy Spirit 
The needle and thread did magic later that evening, 
the husband called to confirm that God answers 
prayers! 

The couple had a daughter eleven months later.
