Wraiths of Wrath

She had four children
Her husband died a few months after
the birth of the fourth child
Her husband was a very irresponsible man
His death was a blessing of sorts to her
All he did was drank, loaf around, beat her
up and sleep with her
She practically fed him from the moment
she got married to him
She regretted having four children
She wished she was not so naive and foolish
when she got pregnant and had to get married
right after secondary school
She knew nothing!
By the age of 24, she was already tired of living!
While her husband was living, he was a 
palm wine tapper
She sold the palm wine with him and fried
snails, dog meat and fish for customers
who came to their palm wine joint 
After her husband's death, she reached 
out to her family members for help!
Her elder brother told her the only assistance
he could offer her was to help her train her first
two children!
They were boys, aged 8 and 6!
He promised to send them to school and 
ensure they turned out very well.
She agreed!
She was left with her two-year-old and the 
new baby
She continued operating the palm wine
outfit
Other palm wine tappers supplied her with
palm wine at a reasonable rate!
Life was tough!
Her elder brother was married with five 
children
His first child was his only son
He treated her sons very well
He had a piggery and a poultry
Her sons went to school in the morning
and took care of the pigs and chickens 
in the evenings!
She saw them twice a year and she was
grateful
They had very good characters and had
learned to do many things with their hands
The farm work had helped them tremendously!
Their uncle had given them their own "piglets" to
rear when they started working on the farm
and over the years the piglets had grown and
reproduced in multiple folds!
Her children used the proceed from the sale
of their own pigs to support her and their
younger ones with her
They were also able to save for the future
Her uncle's wisdom and generosity had
set her children on a path of self-sufficiency
and greatness 
Time sped by!
Her sons finished their secondary school
education
The first son gained admission into the 
university to study law
The second one also gained admission 
into the university to study law
The children with her were already in
Secondary school
She could practically see the end of 
suffering and struggle
Until one morning when he suddenly saw
his uncle and three other relatives at
her house very early in the morning
She knew it was bad news!
Her uncle's eyes were puffed up and red!
He had been crying!
They told her an incredulous story
One of her sons was dating a lady
The lady was celebrating her birthday
The two of them went to the party
There was another man, a naval officer
The man was also dating the lady
There was a fight
The naval officer shot her sons 
Her sons died!
The naval officer was arrested by the police
But somehow the story was changed
Everybody including the lady involved
claimed her sons were cultists who came
to the party to kidnap her and the naval
officer was the hero who rescued her from
their hands through his timely intervention!
Her uncle kept saying "I failed you, i failed you"
Her other relatives were inconsolable
It felt to her as if they were telling her a
Nollywood tale
She mourned
She refused to eat for many days until
her sons were buried!
She went to the spot where their father was
buried, she took the sand of the grave
She went to the spot where her sons were

She traveled to her husband's town
Somewhere in Togo
Her husband had told her about the witchdoctor
when they went visiting before he died!
She presented the sands from the grave
She invoked wrath and venom
She made a covenant with strange demons
All she wanted was mayhem, tears, and blood!
A few months after her return from Togo
The nightly visits began
Her late husband and sons would come to
the house at 2 AM once a month
She would cook for them and send them
of strange assignments
Whenever they came around she would be the
only one to see them
But nobody in the house would be able to sleep
The air would become very oppressive and 
chilling!
Her children heard her speaking to the invisible
people and even making food for them
Her children thought she was going mad
They reported to their uncle
Their uncle came around
He spoke with their mother
He went back to the city
He returned the next morning
The naval officer had committed suicide
The lady involved in the frame-up was seriously sick
She had been taken to a mental facility in Abeokuta
Their mother has had a vengeance
It brought nobody any joy
There was no victory, only more sadness
Her uncle pleaded with their mother to
let the dead rest and face her other children
Their mother agreed!
She went back to Togo, she went to undo that
which was done
She returned, barely a week later
The visits started again!
When they came, they demanded food and blood
Their mother went back to Togo three times
As soon as she returned from Togo,
the visits would resume!
The third son gained admission into the 
Polytechnic, Ibadan
He joined a fellowship
He told the fellowship leader his mother was
suffering from a mental disorder
They prayed
The fellowship leader reached out to the
Brother in Jeans and T-shirt
They prayed!
The Holy Spirit revealed what had transpired
between their mother and the dead!
She had bound them to her with her menstrual blood!
Every time she saw her cycle, they must surface
The fellowship leader told her son to go home
and speak with her
She agreed to see the Brother in Jeans and T-shirt
They all met at the office of the Brother 
in Jeans and T-shirt in Lagos
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt told her 
about Jesus
He explained to her that all it takes to move
from darkness to light is to believe and confess Jesus
He said "All this will be over in an instant, it
would be as if you never had this sort of reality
once you come into the Son and you became
an "in Christ" initiate!
She believed!
Her children believed!
They gave their lives to Christ!
On that first day, none of them received the 
gift of the Holy Spirit
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt told the children to
read the book of John aloud to their mother
The following day, they all started praying in tongues!
The following day, the Brother in Jeans and T-shirt
went to see the family of the sick lady
He told them what had happened and that he
believed their daughter could be set free
They believed!
They led him to their daughter
The Holy Spirit delivered her!
The naval officer was dead and gone
The hand of affliction was stilled!
The demons never visited her and the family again!

Her third son studied accounting 
But he somehow had acquired some skills while
working as a cyber cafe attendant in Sango, Ibadan
When he was serving, he did some work with an
oil company in Warri
He was neither a staff nor a contract employee
Somebody noticed he had special abilities and 
asked him to help fix some things which he did 
very well!
He got a letter of employment in 2018 as a direct
staff by the oil firm
Within a year, the story of the family turned
around
The family worships with a pentecostal church,
she is a deaconess and is the minister in charge
of welfare and hospitality in her church!

This event happened in several locations
Iroko (Oyo State), Ibadan, Lagos, Togo, Port Harcourt!
Sometimes when I try to put together the weary
life of an unbeliever and how the devil oppresses
and leads them from calamity to calamity, I wonder
why many still delay accepting Jesus as their Lord
and saviour!
The life of an unbeliever is a very unattractive,
bland, joyless and hopeless one
There is no other kingdom that offers righteousness
peace and joy in the Holy Ghost except for ZION!
Why don't you hand over the burden to the burden
bearer and be free?
