Go to War

Go to War

Every Christian is a man or woman of war. This is our default, our mindset, our reality. Without warfare, we lose guard, we lose focus, and we become at ease in Zion.

The fact that we have become enthroned with Christ does not give us the right to assume that we are finally home free and can relax our guard. In Christ, we have been guaranteed victory, but this does not mean we will not fight.

When we lose our guard due to ease, we open the door to the enemies within to make war with us and our members. David was able to see Bathsheba because he refused to go to war in the season of war. Israel won the war but David lost the battle. When we relax, we open the door to battles that we take for granted but can have serious impacts on our journey in life.

Had David gone to war he would have spared himself the headache of losing three sons (Amnon, the baby Bathsheba had for him and Absalom) and he would have also spared himself the grief of Tamar's rape.

Being at ease in Zion is a dangerous thing even if you do not have to lift a finger at the war front, please go to war! When I was struggling to make headway in my life, I was very prayerful I woke up daily and prayed from about 2 AM till 5 AM daily.

Our God answers prayers and things became better for me after a while. When things became better, I naturally eased off the prayer routine due to the pressures of work (I had a job while I was struggling but as God blessed me, I established ministries and businesses and had a duty to manage them, this naturally made me work harder and for longer hours and this affected my prayer life in a big way). Prayer became something I did while driving or find myself on the way to meetings.

The atmosphere I naturally created in the place of prayer was still there but the intensity of my prayer life and meditation dwindled, suddenly I found myself facing a battle from within someone close to me insisted that for us to be friends and remain friends I have to drop the ministry and my businesses and get a job.

This same person had complained earlier that I was too poor and for that reason, our friendship would have to come to a close. It was a bit confusing When I didn't have success, my failure was an issue.

Now I have success and the success was the issue now, this friend of mine was quite close and very integral in the structure of my life at the time. I could do without the friendship but the cost would be very high.

We were practically joined at the waist and I would have to pay dearly if we ever got "divorced" I turned to the Lord one day as I was driving and presented the issue The Lord said "You have been at ease for too long and this internal problem came upon you as a result of that). Imagine conquering external problems only for internal ones to spring up simply because you eased off prayer due to circumstances beyond your power.

I returned to my prayer routine and started praying as intensely as I used to pray when I was without any relief, my prayer pattern had nothing to do with self or "fall and die or evil arrow" and most of the nonsense prayer time-wasting believers in Africa pray nowadays .I ministered to the Lord, prayed in the Holy Ghost and received direct instructions from the Holy Spirit to pray for certain people or move in a certain direction I prospered as more and more territories were conquered for me both in ministry and life.

The friend left without taking a pin from me out of our material possessions God so did it that the scandal I expected would break out of it was almost nonexistent I realised my fervent prayer helped me to prevail.

Of course, I relaxed a bit after this (We all tend to do so after winning a battle) The next thing I saw was another battle from within, a strange affliction that struck one of my children, an affliction money seems unable to solve I prayed and the affliction was sorted out after two years and thirty-three days.

Did I relax after that? Yes, I did Lo and behold, another affliction to the body arose with another child of mine. It just came out of the blue and it was resolved within a week I asked the Lord why he didn't just take care of the issues, Must I pray? Couldn't you just have my back? The Lord said "Your prayers are not for you and your well-being, they are for the church.

When you pray in the spirit I would sometimes ask you to pray for a missionary you don't know, a business you don't know anything about, a country or a couple you have never met or a family in distress.

When you don't pray, who would cater to the needs of those people? I learnt my lessons from that brief discussion. The Lord depends on prayerful people (not those who wake up binding and casting imaginary enemies and asking God for this and that but those who pray in the Holy Ghost and through the Holy Ghost to birth his will and desire on the earth).

When such people don't pray, they don't get divine instructions and as a result, the will of God in certain areas which they have been appointed as watchmen over does not prevail or becomes delayed. As a result of this, they find themselves buffeted by an agent of Satan who gives them constant reminders through a thorn in the flesh not to sleep on duty.

Prayerlessness is costly, please man up and go to war, When I hear people who pray tell tales of constant warfare with demons and woe, I laugh because this is an indication that they are not praying the right way.

Prayer is divine communication between a believer and the Lord Jesus Christ and the channels are pure and unhindered at all times Knowledge brings us to the discovery of this reality as we grow in our walk with God.

Every believer must learn how to pray effectively and remember that when they pray "self" is the least important focus.

We pray to receive instructions and we dispense such to the glory of God and the expansion of his kingdom,

Finally, something significant happened last Sunday that wowed me all night. On my flight from Abuja to Lagos in the company of a saint, we were seated on the last seats on the plane, these seats were located just before the toilets and the smell of the ammonium from the toilet was galling the saint ,I travelled with noticed a wealthy woman on the plane who came to use the toilet as soon as we boarded she said the woman also used the restroom twice while we were at the airport and she was convinced the woman had a medical condition.

As soon as the plane landed the woman left her seat again and rushed towards the toilet. Meanwhile, those of us located next to the toilets had been praying nobody would come to use the toilets because of the smell we had to endure after every flush.

One of the aircrew members was standing right in front of the toilets when the woman got to the toilet and started pleading that the aircrew member should let her use the restroom if he did not want to see her wet herself. The "fasten your seat belt light" was still on and the aircrew member didn't want to go against their regulations by opening the door of the toilet for her.

By this time this woman had started soiling herself. Eventually, the man opened the door for her and she rushed in but it was too late by the time we saw her later after disembarking, she had tied her scarf around her waist to cover the soiled clothes she was wearing.

I thought nothing of it I got to Lagos and attended the events I had till late at night I rushed back to my hotel so that I could check in on time and set up for my online meeting which would start at 10 pm.

The following morning, while going for a meeting with another saint who was waiting at the reception of the hotel, I met this same woman at the elevator she recognized me immediately ,we exchanged greetings and I asked her what the issue was with her health she said she was involved in an accident while on holiday somewhere in France and emergency surgery was done on her to save her life.

She said she had since recovered from it but since that time she had been dealing with a bladder issue. She said she had sought medical help in many countries but the problem remained unsolved I asked her if I could pray with her she said Yes, We joined hands right in front of the bar on the second floor and as I opened my mouth to pray I saw her standing in front of a crowd right behind her husband. I said, "Ma, are you married to a pastor?" She said "In my former life, I left him over fifteen years ago due to some irreconcilable differences," I told her I saw her standing in front of a church right behind a pastor who was ministering to the saints in the prophetic.

She laughed and said she was a prophet too. She said she and her husband started a ministry together and the ministry struggled for a long time until she decided to leave the ministry for her husband while she travelled abroad for greener pastures.

She said when she got to the USA, God blessed her with a soft landing and she began to prosper immediately. She said she invited her husband over but he refused to leave his ministry, so she sued for divorce and moved on.

She got married to another man two years later and they were living their best life when tragedy struck with the car crash they had in the south of France. She said her new husband died in the crash and she had been dealing with the bladder issue since then.

I prayed with her and encouraged her to call her ex-husband as soon as possible and make peace with him I also told her she must start praying again and explained to her the importance of prayer in kingdom advancement.

She had become so at ease in Zion that she had practically forgotten how to pray. My meeting lasted for four hours. She was waiting for me right at the entrance of the elevator as I was returning to my room. She said, "I have not felt the urge to urinate since you prayed with me!" This morning she called and said "I urinated twice yesterday evening and I urinated only once during the night. I slept from 9 pm till 6 am and I only got up once to urinate at about 1 am.

I also summoned the courage to start praying again after waking up this morning and it was the most beautiful experience. The testimony delighted my soul. I asked her if she had called her ex-husband. She said she tried but he must have blocked her or changed his number because the call did not go through.

I urged her to do everything she could to make peace with him i also urged her that the most important thing she must do would be to stay in fellowship and man her post in the place of prayer as a soldier of Christ.

When you relax in the time of war, you open the door to internal battles Please don't forget this.
