Vindictive?

Her instinct and friends counselled her to leave him
She was wary of the marriage
He was trying his best but it wasn't enough
His work takes him everywhere
She knew it would and loved the idea at the beginning
An absentee husband who wouldn't be all up in her business
Wherever he might be in the country
He made sure he spent the weekend at home
He arrived home unfailingly every Friday
and leaves for wherever his marketing job led him on Monday
He tried to be helpful
Whenever he was around he would tend to her 
with his whole heart
He gave her whatever she desired
When she insisted that she wanted a car
He took a loan and bought her one
When she told him she needed to be set up in business
He didn't think twice about it
Though she was also working, he never asked her 
what she did with her money
He was a good husband
But her friends were doing better!
Some of her friends relocated abroad with their families
Some of her friends have moved on to their own houses
It felt to her as if they weren't moving forward
She wanted a baby, he wanted a baby but a 
baby wouldn't come
They went for medical check up
The gynaecologist told them they were fine
With a little bit of patience and less anxiety, it will happen
She insisted that he should be with her during her ovulation
period and he obliged her
He told his employers he had an emergency he had to attend
to at home and was given some time to address it
She was told a particular style of sex was more
effective than others
She made him do everything she desired
He just wanted her to be happy
At a point his "I want to please my wife" attitude
got to his wife
His wife had friends whose husbands were not so caring
Friends whose husbands wouldn't even give an iota of respect
Yet they had everything,
Children, jobs, a family and happiness
The "sissiness" of her husband started bothering her
Only a man who had something to hide would be so 
pleasing and uncomplaining
It seemed to her as if she was the only one bothered 
about having a child
Her husband was only concerned when he sees her crying or
mopping about the house
What was it that he and his family knew that they were keeping away from her?
She became suspicious of his nonchalant attitude
It is either he had children somewhere or planned to do so
Or perhaps he had used his sperm to do something diabolical
She was not a child!
She had heard tales of many people who used their manhood
as trade by barter with the devil in exchange for other
life's comforts!
An MRI can never see the deep impact of such
She decided it was time they go spiritual
She told him as much
He said NO!
His no made her suspect him the more
How could any right-thinking man say to "seeking" help
She pushed him!
She insulted him!
She cried!
She called him unprintable names!
One morning she locked his shirt and told him to confess
"You have used your manhood for voodoo! Why else would
you be scared of meeting those who could expose your secrets?"
He caved!
The marriage was just two years old
They know many people who waited twenty years to have a child
Why subject themselves to undue pressure?
She dragged him to one uniform wearing church on a mountain 
located at the outskirt of town
The prophets prayed and prayed
Eventually one came up with a vision
They were to get a calabash and do something
with coconuts, sugarcanes, candies, chewing gums and biscuits,
They were to carry the thing  to a T-junction at 2 AM 
His wife was all enthusiastic 
Sometimes he wondered if she was ever really a Christian
A lady he met in church as a Sunday School teacher
The daughter of a deacon and deaconess and younger 
sister of a Pastor's wife
How could she be so at home with fetish practices?
When they got home, he told her NO!
His went crazy!
For the first time, he wasn't moved
He had made up his mind not to consult with demons
in the name of having a child
He went to work the next day
By the time he returned home the following weekend
His wife had packed her bags and baggage and left
She left a note stating she was quitting the marriage
He called their pastor immediately 
The pastor called her
She stood her ground!
Her husband was too patronizing
He had something to hide
He must have done something with his manhood
She knew there was better out there
Even if she couldn't get better
She believed she was better off alone
Two weeks later she sent him her divorce papers
He refused to sign
Two months later he got a divorce notification
from a magistrate court
The storm was over!
His pastor told him to wait on the Lord for a while
Hear what the Holy Spirit is saying
He did!
He took a week and prayed, meditated on the word and cried
out his heart
The Holy Spirit said "Pray for your wife"
He couldn't believe it
It was as if the Holy Spirit was unaware of recent developments
He took the divorce papers and fell on his knees later that night
He said "Holy Spirit, please look at this letter,
I do not have a wife! She left! I am single now"
The Holy Spirit didn't say a word
He just noticed that from that day he lost his peace
He started praying for her
After a week, he called her to check up on her 
She didn't pick his calls
He called her mother
Her mother said "Your wife has moved to the house
of one Primate whose church is located at the outskirt of town,
she joined his harem and has refused to pick anybody's call!
He was very disappointed!
Why had he been praying?
Why should he continue to pray for somebody who had obviously married another man?
He stopped praying!
A few days later, he had a dream!
He saw his wife, tied to a tree with termites all over her body!
His wife was weeping her eyes out
He heard himself say to her "Is this what royalty has been
reduced to" with tears in his eyes
He started praying for her with the whole of his heart 
immediately after then!
It started one day when she saw two women fighting
They were her sisters and co-wives as the primate says 
All of them were wearing uniforms and taking turns to 
satisfy their husband
She suddenly came to herself
What was she doing amongst them?
Why wasn't she at home?
Every night, the image of herself and her husband cuddling,
smiling, talking, and playing games would come to her
One Sunday morning, it was her turn to fetch water from the
well beside the church to the Primate's house located about 
five minutes away!
She got to the well, dropped the bucket and started walking
He was dressing for up to go to church when she got to his house
She had trekked for five hours!
He didn't go to church anymore
He got her a change of clothes and something to eat
The pastor and some ministers came to their home 
later that afternoon 
They prayed for her and anointed her with oil
He drove her to her parent's house later that evening
Two months later she sent a message to the Brother
in Jeans and T-shirt
"Would you be so kind as to intervene in my marital
issue? I want my husband back but since he dropped me
at home that fateful day, he calls only once in a while 
to say hello!
I know he respects you tremendously and I will like you
to talk to him! I have learnt my lessons and I will
do anything to have my husband and home back!
Six months later, they remarried
She is now four months pregnant!

PS: During the NIght of Glory of 26th April 
Brother Bukola Adewuyi while ministering gave a word of
prophecy!
He said there was someone in the congregation who
had been living in fear for the past three days
A young man lifted up his hands
The church prayed for the young man!
After the service, the young man came to the Brother
in Jeans and T-shirt and said "I was involved in a criminal case,
a good Christian lady and lawyer came to rescue!
She made sure I made bail and had been representing me 
in court pro-bono!
SHe was my only hope at the moment!
I needed some money on Thursday and I approached her for some cash!
She felt I was trying to take advantage of her
She felt I shouldn't belabour her with my financial needs
despite all the things she had been doing for me!
She was right!
It was a very inconsiderate thing to do!
After leaving her office, I became very scared!
What if she backed out?
What if she stopped helping me?
What if she gave up on me?
The fear took sleep away from my eyes
I knew without her, I am done for!
Immediately after the church prayed for me
I told myself I will have to call her and apologise
Her response would make her intention obvious
I just wanted to know that she's still got my back! 
Just after you finished ministering and we shared the grace
Someone tapped me on my shoulder!
I turned back and behold! It was the same woman!
She also came for the vigil all the way from Ibadan!
She forgave me!
The prayer was answered immediately!

The Holy Spirit is always finding the best way to lead
us back on track for destiny fulfilment
Like GPS, when we miss our way, he would quickly 
readjust and redirect our path back home
Even when we make foolish decisions and are
suffering as a result of such
The heart of the Father is always seeking, searching,
forgiving, saving, restoring, and reconciling
