I remember my first trip to Delta State to minister to the saints as led by the Holy Spirit. I was teaching PSSBC School 1 at the time, It was 2019. A young man reached out to me on Twitter, he said he would like to be baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I asked him where he was he said he was an undergraduate at Michael and Cecilia Ibru University in Delta State.

He was at the hostel when he wrote to me, I exchanged phone numbers with him and gave him a call. I prayed with him and he began to pray in the Spirit on the phone a few minutes later. The time was around 8 pm, he prayed in the spirit till almost midnight. The following day the brother sent me a message asking me if I could come down to Delta State for a programme they were holding at the Town Hall in Ughelli. A student fellowship programme, I told him I would be glad to attend the event. He later sent me a message saying as students they cannot raise the funds for my flight and all. I laughed and told him I would take care of that.

I left for Delta on April 25, I arrived at my destination after some hours' journey from Asaba to Ughelli in the evening. Soon after I arrived it began to rain; they came to pick me up at about 8 pm. We got to the venue and I saw a crowd of young people, students, some in uniform attire, others in all sorts. There were many pastors there too, many invited minstrels. They all ministered as the Lord gave them utterance then I got on the pulpit and I forgot completely what happened. The power of the Holy Spirit moved so mightily that I cannot remember if I managed to preach that day or not.

I remember so many people getting healed I remember mass baptisms in the Holy Spirit, I remember asthma getting healed, I remember HIV getting healed, I remember snake bite pain and wound getting healed, I remember people holding hands at the altar and falling under the anointing with diverse ministrations and manifestations of the Holy Spirit, I remember the pastors who were there, standing up and watching the move of the spirit in awe. It was a night full of glory. The night turned to morning within a few hours. When the students returned to their hostels, the power of the Holy Spirit broke out afresh. I was in my hotel when I got the call that many couldn't sleep. The anointing had come to abide and He is moving them to do great things amongst themselves.

The babes in Christ that I came to encourage with the word of faith a few hours before had taken to the Spirit and the Spirit had taken over them. They went to hospitals and prayed for the sick, they healed the sick and set the captives free all on their own as led by the Holy Spirit. It was a glorious experience.

I left for Lagos the next day filled with a sense of accomplishment and thanksgiving. The leader of the Student Fellowship at the time, and the brother that invited me to the programme immediately enrolled in PSSBC School 1. I try as much as possible to ensure that the saints are not left to their devices to figure things out without guidance after they have come to know the Holy Spirit. I teach them the basics and then show them through practical demonstrations how to walk in the reality of the power of the Holy Spirit.

A few months later, the president of the fellowship graduated from the University and with the support of GSWMI, he established a ministry as led by the Holy Spirit, Flaming Network International Ministry. The ministry has continued to grow from strength to strength over the years. They outgrew their rented auditorium and now they will be dedicating their new auditorium on Saturday 7th of December 2024. The night before this, they will be having their annual Yadah festival. The FNIM team will be there too and so will other ministers of the gospel. The other young man, Brother Stephen, is currently the Head of Ministry in charge of Student fellowships for GSWMI. All the brothers and sisters I met on that night in 2019 have become great men and women of God in every field of endeavour you can think of.

I am happy I met them when I did . The impact that the Holy Spirit had on them and me as a minister is indelible. I bless the Lord for his grace and anointing always.
