Don't Be A Son Of Sceva

Sons of Sceva are debating about eternal life with Sons of God.

They assume that because they are using the name of Jesus and it is not working for them, it is therefore not working for everybody.

They look at their lives, and they cannot see the aura of divinity and the evidence of the ZOE life

They dumb down their doctrines to accommodate the realities of life and reduce the divine life into a set of rules and regulations, which they convince themselves that if they live by them, they would attain eternal life and all its advantages one day

They threw away divinity for religion, exchanging the things which they perform in the flesh in the name conquering the sin nature and this world for the divine life which has been made available to them from the very beginning through the Holy Spirit.

They started a religion, instead of living the divine life and from the moment this happened, they had constantly found themselves walking in a reality that is subpar and inferior to the divine life that we have been so freely given in Jesus Christ.

The funniest thing is, even though they can see that their belief system is not producing the results that they can set as proofs of living the divine life, they have become so engrained and enmeshed in their own religious doctrines that it is difficult to show them the realities and the verities of the divine life.

They argue with you that their chains and bondage to religion is the right place for them to be and they even want to convince you to trade your liberty and divinity for that chain and bondage which has now become their identity.

How can any believer who reads the Bible as it is written argue against being eternally saved or having eternal life?

If you don't have eternal life yet, or you plan to have it when you get to heaven, what do you call the Holy Spirit?

Is the Holy Spirit not eternal, was he not there when the foundation of the earth was laid and the waters separated from land in the Genesis 1.

Will he not be there when this world will be rolled away as we sit and feast with Jesus at the marriage supper of the Lamb?

If the spirit that was there at the beginning and that will be there at the end lives in you now, is that not enough of a guarantee to you that you have exchanged mortality for immortality when you received the baptism of the Holy Spirit?

If you don't have eternal life, by which authority do you heal the sick and raise the dead?

Oh, I forget that many of you can't even dare to do that since you are dwelling in your mortal bodies living the bios life.

Those of you who claim you pray and walk in miracles, and yet insist you can lose your salvation, does that mean your source for all miracles and the anointing is not divine?

Are you conducting healing the way the Pharisees and teachers of the law do it, as taught to them by Moses? Or are you healing the sick in the name of Jesus?

If you are healing the sick in the name of Jesus and you are arguing that you don't have eternal life, then you are more or less in the class of sons of Sceva and not in the class of those who have inherited the life of God and are ruling and reigning on the earth.

Of course, we all drank from different denominations and ate from different doctrines as we grew in our knowledge of the Christian faith.

Have you ever read the Bible by yourself from Genesis to Revelation?

Have you done this in at least five different translations, so that the verses you have previously understood in the wrong context can be understood in the right context?

Do you understand what Jesus came to do, why he came and what he accomplished by his death and resurrection? Do you understand why the disciples suddenly became transformed from "Jews" and adherents of the Mosaic way of life to apostles and propagators of the good news?

Do you understand that without the divine life Jesus couldn't officially begin his ministry, and he told the disciples that they must wait in Jerusalem until they also receive the same divine life through the Holy Spirit before they can preach the gospel all over the world?

Why then would you read all that, understand it and still argue that you can receive the same divine life and lose it by doing or not doing mundane things?

A life you didn't receive through mundane activities but that you can lose through mundane activities?

Isn't that like saying "A bird can swim and a fish can fly?"

The source of the divine life is above, and the source of your human life is below. How then do you want to use human activities to keep the divine life?

This is why it is a gift!

"Not of works lest any man should boast, it is the GIFT of God"

We received this gift and unpacked it

You received the same gift, but you didn't unpack it

We took the gift, and we are using it to live our lives to the fullest in Christ

You insisted you would unpack this gift when you get to heaven at the end of your life's journey

You have made your choice, and we have made ours

The result of our choices is showing forth day by day

Our lights are shining bright, and this is making you uncomfortable

We are walking in divinity, and you are trying hard to kill our shine

You argue with words on X, but we cannot see your results

We display our results boldly, and you call it being puffed up or pride or being vain

Jesus said he does not know what to do with you.

They sing you a happy song, you refuse to dance

They sing you a sad song, you refuse to cry

You are unmoved by His instructions and unpersuaded by His sacrifice, and yet you won't allow those who are persuaded to dance to the melodies of the Spirit.

I will not join any of you in any fruitless debate again.

Debating with you is making your fruitless life gain a bit of relevance through my engagement.

You don't deserve that spotlight from me.

I will show forth the realities of the divine life in every corner of the earth. I will walk in Christ and present irrefutable proof of this life for the whole world to see.

I will leave you with your empty words and religious dogma

A day will come; we will all stand at the judgment seat of Christ and be given our eternal rewards.

Just note that there is no crown for hypocrisy, religion, doctrine, sanctification, justification, purification, whatever else before Christ. There is no crown for debaters and X posts and emotional arguments.

There is no crown for name-calling and insults and name calling in the name of defending dead works

There is the imperishable crown, 1 Corinthians 9:25. for living a life mastered by the Spirit rather than the flesh

The crown of Righteousness for believers who eagerly look forward to and love the second coming of Jesus, 2 Timothy 4:8

The crown of life, for those who patiently endure persecution for their faith, Revelation 2:10

The crown of Glory, 1 Peter 5:4, for those who shepherd God's people with a willing heart and many more

These higher goals should be your motivation, not "I will dismantle OSAS, I will obliterate Hypergrace, I will destroy pentecostalism and bury Calvinism."

The fact that many engage you on the basis of "written words" is the only reason most of you have a basis to stand close to us and dare to open your mouth.

If I challenge you to a "Doing The Word" exercise where we will walk down a street on which there are several sick people and our shadows can fall on them to heal them, will you show up?

If I ask that we visit a hospital, you take a wing and I take a wing to heal the sick, do you have what it takes to do as Christ has ordained and commanded us to do?

Talk is cheap, and oftentimes they are spoken by people who do not have the strength or authority to make their words count.

I will leave the realm of empty words to you and continue with the mandate to do the work, for night comes when no man can work.

I will pray for you daily, trusting the Lord that this gift of salvation you have received and insisted on burying will not one day be an issue for you before Christ.
