Deal with your baggage

Deal with your baggage

Deal with your baggage
Don't cope with it
Don't manage it
Deal with it
Don't assume becoming born again
will automatically remove it
Even with the Holy Spirit in your heart
You have to consciously cast aside
weights and get rid of the easily
besetting sins
You owe yourself this
Sins have a way of finding us out
There are avengers of blood who will
give their eyes no sleep until they
take their pounds of flesh
Don't call it your weakness
Don't make excuses for it
Don't make light of it
It is like putting fire in your bosom
and smiling
Judgement comes!
If in the process of looking for a cure
You find yourself in church
Don't join the rat race
Leave the pastors encouraging you
to become a worker alone
Just seek Jesus and get the help you need
No pastor can help you deal with it
It is up to you
Seek the Holy Spirit
Seek His help
If you join the rat race
You will become a hypocrite
You will see others like you
You will convince yourself everybody
is like that
You will take titles
You will be called "apostle"
You will head a church branch
Or become a G.O
The church will use whoever
is available
Yes, You!
The balancing act will start
Sin is first an impulse
Often fallen into before reason kicks in
You dive in and take a full gulp
Stolen water
So sweet
The snake you didn't deal with
Becomes your bed mate
Soon, you stop seeing the
deed as wrong
It becomes the norm
Nobody holy pass!
Eventually, when your guards are down,
the snake will bite
The wages of a sin you needn't pay for
makes a huge demand of you!
You find yourself unable to pay
It makes a ridicule of you, makes a
mockery of everything you ever
sweated to build
Wow!
You pray
He hears
You still pay!
