Duplexity

The dual lifestyle started when she was in
her final year in the university
She met a photographer from Netherlands
He approached her on her way to class
on morning and told her he was interested
in doing a photoshoot with her
She was not into that kind of thing
She was a straight A's law student
She was very religious and couldn't
afford any distraction
She had set her eyes on being the 
best graduating student in her set
It was a tough race, especially because
there are about seven other students
gathering A's for fun every session 
She ignored him
He came looking for her the following
Saturday
He came armed with a contract
He offered to pay her handsomely for
her time
He also told her she would keep all the
clothes and accessories they buy for
the shoot
She made sure she insisted that they
would do nothing nude
He agreed
The photoshoot was fun
She was terribly photogenic from 
childhood and as she grew older 
and filled out she became a striking 
beauty
The world of her "oyionbo" photographer
was a pleasant one
He was born rich and had made a name
for himself globally in photography
He used to do nature shots until he
met her
He became her pasttime on campus
She spent all her freetime with him
doing shoots or hanging out
Somehow they became physical
She blamed that on the time they
spent together and the power of
photography as an art 
The more she saw herself, the more
of herself she wanted to see
When they started having sex, he had
access to her in a very intrusive way
She didn't mind it at all in the beginning
He took her pictures undressing, sleeping
after sex and taking a shower
The pictures were private
They both reviewed the pictures in a 
non-personal way
He made her see things the way a 
professional would
Before she knew it, she was doing
semi-nude shots and even nude ones
She was beautiful
He made her see that
He made her see herself as a gift to
the world
It wouldn't have mattered at all if 
they stayed together and built a life
But it ended
He met another nubile beauty when he
travelled to Benin
He walked away without looking back
She didn't become the best graduating
student
Her eyes had been opened to a world
beyond academic feats
She graduated and came out of the law
schoolas one of the best students
She was immediately offered a job as
a litigant with a law firm
Three months after she resumed the job,
she met another lawyer, A senior advocate
who had his own chambers
The man was interested in her work and
offered her a very good position in his firm
She took it
She became his personal assistant
Somehow she also started sleeping with him
He was married to judge and was
old enough to be her father
Two of his three children were older than
her, the third was three months younger
than her
It was  not a loving relationship
It was not even for career advancement
It was just to fill a void
The senior advocate bought her a house
in a very quiet estate 
The house was hers
He told her it would be his parting gift
in case something happened to him
that terminated their relationship
He said he didn't want to leave her
empty handed
They met at the house
It was discreet and located far away from
prying eyes
Nobody knew she was having such
a relationship
Nobody knew about the house
It was the same with her relationship
with the photographer
It was a totally secret life that nobody
knew about
To the world she was a very serious
minded, upwardly mobile, professional
and decent young lady
She was twenty four years old
But she had been to places her parents
could not even imagine and she had
done things that would make her father
disown her at will
She had money
The contact she signed with the photographer
paid her very well
She just kept the money in a fixed deposit
She wouldn't have been able to explain
the source to anybody
The house and other perks she got from
her senior colleague were also secrets
As far as her mother was concerned
she was a virgin and a member of the 
church choir!
As expected, the relationship between
her and the Senior Advocate got 
terminated in its second year
The Senior Advocate met another lady 
and simply stopped calling or texting her 
on a personal level
She had everything but a husband
She wasn't in a hurry to get one
She was satisfied with her life
Or so she thought
Loneliness had a way of suggesting 
alternatives to its victims
There was also this restlessness, this
insecurity and rumbling unsettled feeling
in her heart
She just wanted to be nasty and 
naughty
She wanted to do dirty, denigrating 
and perverse things and be bad
She didn't know why darkness had such
a strange grip on her
She started going to clubs and lounges
in the middle of the night to pick
up casual one night stands
She had never had a normal relationship
Most of the guys she met who were
talking along that line were struggling,
poor and sometimes immature guys
Though some of them were older than 
her in age,they talked and behaved like 
randy teenagers
They irritated her badly
She couldn't see herself getting married
to any of them but they were not entirely
useless 
They helped her get through the nights
when her hormones raged like a tempest
Her misadventure lasted for three years
She slept with all sorts
Eventually she told her parents she was
considering being a single parent
All she had to do was get a good sperm
donour
Her mother went for her annual medical
check up and somehow met a young 
medical doctor
Her mother gave her phone number to the
doctor
The doctor called
They had a date
He was the one for her
He understood God and Christianity in
a way that tore the veil off her eyes
He attended the Night of Glory of January
2019 with her
It changed everything
She was filled with the Holy Spirit
He was everything she had ever dreamt of
Within six months, she had told him
things she never told anyone else
He knew about her house and funds
He knew about her plans to set up her own
chambers within six months
She told him everything
She stopped clubbing immediately after
they met and was determined to let that
life die a natural death
They had their introduction
Then she got a phone call
One of her previous one night stands
had a hidden camera in a pen or his
sunglasses and recorded everything they
did when they were together
He demanded for money
He said he would sell the video to a
pornography site or publish it on the
internet just for the fun of it if she 
doesn't cooperate
He demanded one million naira in cash
from her
She was in a fix
She had the money but she knew if she
paid, it would never stop
The next morning, she got some 
pictures in her mail
The blackmailer was not bluffing
She sent a message to the Brother in 
Jeans and T-shirt
She had repented and left that life 
behind but her past was coming for 
her like the grim reaper
She didn't hide anything from her man
but such a video would have consequences
beyond her marital concerns
The Brother in Jeans and T-shirt told her
not to worry or fret
They asked the Holy Spirit to intervene
Three days later, the blackmailer sent
her the flashdrive on which the video
was saved with a note "I am sorry"
The Blackmailer was never heard 
from again!

She got married to her husband in
April 2018
They had their first child, a boy, in
Canada in June 2019
