When he got the job he had always desired with a multinational company
The first person he ran to was his pastor
His pastor had told him
While he was still a physics teacher
"Do a distance learning course with Harvard
Go to a business school somewhere
God says he has prepared a space for you abroad
But you will be given he space when you are ready
From what I see, God has no intention of making you a Physics teacher abroad
You need to enlarge your knowledge base now!
Even though he wanted nothing of such
he had come to respect the words of his pastor
His pastor was not one of those pastors fleecing the sheep of Christ
His pastor had literally stopped the rain from falling several times
It was even said of his pastor that when he ministers abroad, the snow does not fall
His Pastor is super humble!
They were once organizing a crusade
They called it Lekki '98
Touts came to the crusade ground bearing weapons
They wanted the organizers to pay them for the land they wanted to use for the programme
His pastor was in the thick of things with the elders
Trying to resolve the matter amicably
One of the touts felt a show of force was needed
He corked his gun and shot at the elders
Everybody ran, nobody understood what happened
The bullet either reversed or turned around
The man who shot the gun was the one the bullet killed right there on the spot
Everybody ran
The elders who had dodged in the forest came out with their mouths agape
What sort of power does this man command?
And the man rarely talks
He wears a bow tie and short sleeved shirt
He heals the sick and speaks the word of knowledge
But to defy a bullet!?
The touts surrendered
The policemen on the scene were dumbstruck
As the pastors and elders came out of their hiding holes
They escalated their level of respect for the man to 'Extremely Dangerous'
He knew his pastor did not speak mere words
God must have spoken to him somehow
One year later, just as he completed his Business school programme
He got a phone call from an old colleague
They had an opening in his company in America
They had tried to fill it for some time to no avail
Headhunters had scoured the planet but couldn't find a replacement
His old colleague was given the task of filling the post within a month
His old colleague thought of him
He sent his CV that very day
The letters came a week letter
He was to resume as the head of Africa/Asia Relations
Just like that!
When he saw his pastor, he told him the miracle
His pastor said "That is not the miracle, that is the means to the end
The Lord says he will establish the American arm of this ministry through you
When you settle down, start a house fellowship in your house
You just obey and see what the Holy Spirit will do"
He did
As soon as he resettled with his family, he started a house fellowship
Within a few months it became a church
Then his pastor came to their house and blessed the House fellowship
He called it the headquarters of the mission in America
Within ten years, it was so
They even had their own camp ground and many churches
It was such a great thing to be part of the move of the Holy Spirit
From house fellowship leader, he became the country coordinator of the church
The word of God came alive in his life and reality
Hallelujah
As he approached his sixties
His children finished their formal education and got married
He retired and focused fully on ministry
He ensured that the ministry committed into his hand thrived
Once a year he would welcome his pastor formally to America
They organize an annual crusade aimed at spreading the gospel
He would ensure that the programme ran perfectly
He was one of the faithful stewards of the gospel in America
That particular year, he suddenly had some difficulty breathing
He was diagnosed of stage 4 cancer
He didn't have any symptom whatsoever before then
The doctors gave him at most 6 months to live
His pastor was in Australia, doing the bidding of the gospel
He called his assistants and handed over the plan for the crusade of that year to them
He gave them detailed instructions of what to do and how to do it
He didn't want the crusade to fail because of his health
The doctors told him there was a treatment they could do to lessen the pain
He found it difficult to breathe because somehow his lungs were full of fluid
They told him they would drain the fluid and keep him comfortable
He wrote his will and thanked God for a good life
His pastor arrived America and was shocked not to see him at the airport
Where is so and so? His pastor asked
His assistants told his pastor that he was ill
He had been admitted into so and so hospital
The diagnosis was terrible
His pastor told his assistants to take him to the hospital
When he saw his pastor in the hospital he was shocked
He knew how tired his pastor must be
His pastor was almost 80 years old at this time
His pastor laid hands on him
He said: The Lord told me he has a new assignment for you
Only a faithful man can do this task and you have been adjudged faithful
So this time tomorrow, come and see me and get briefed on the assignment
His pastor prayed for all the other patients in the ward with him
His pastor just laid hands on the patients as he walked through
Then his pastor left
He didn't know what to make of his pastor's prayer
Was his pastor saying cryptically that he will die before the next day?
What other assignment could God want to give a man in his sixties
He had made his peace, he was prepared to go
He had given all his children their inheritance
He had handed over everything he ever had to his wife
He was prepared for the new assignment
He slept off while he was still thinking
He saw a vision as soon as he closed his eyes
He saw a swarm of black flies all over his decaying body
Suddenly there was a flash of lightening
His body was full of light starting from within
The flies all fell down dead at his feet
He stood up and started running about in the vision
When he opened his eyes
He could breathe normally
He was hungry
He asked for food
They brought him hospital food, the one prescribed by the doctor
He laughed and told his wife he wanted Amala and Abula soup plus goat meat
Everybody thought he had gone crazy
He reasoned that since he had a short time to live
He shouldn't have to suffer by eating the tasteless food
Even prisoners on death sentence got to eat a great meal of their choice before being killed
His wife brought the food, he ate heartily
He stood up on his feet and he started walking
As he walked his body gained strength
He wasn't aware of the moment he started praying in the Holy Ghost
All the sick people in his ward started sitting up one after the other
It was as if he was calling back the dead from the shadows of the grave
By 6pm that evening, the whole ward was empty
Everybody had been declared healed and discharged

Say "Body, Jesus has made you whole, you are healed"
