Unsettled

She suddenly started feeling strangely unsettled
She couldn't explain it
It was as if she suddenly developed a sense of 
foreboding
An ominous assurance of danger and evil
Her husband didn't understand it
They had married early but they had been married
for twenty years
They are a quiet family, hardly socializing
He minded his business and led a very simple life
He had never given her a reason to mistrust or feel
insecure
They have four children
Two were in the University and two in high school
She knew that too
But something had gone wrong in their marriage
She could feel it in all the bones in her body
She tried calling his attention to it
She tried making him see what she perceived
But he was just as blockheaded as ever
One of the worst things about marrying a 
simple man was that he sees a complex thinker 
like her as an alarmist
He believed she cried foul deliberately
Always looking for potholes on a smooth road
Or she was just seeking attention
But she had seen the future
She suddenly started having these weird dreams
Once was bad but three times!
She was very sure something was wrong somewhere
In the first, she saw herself and her husband going 
out together
The driver was driving and they were both sitting on 
the back seat
At a point during the journey, he told the driver to 
stop the car and pick a lady
Her husband called the lady "an assistant"
But instead of the lady to sit down beside the driver 
in the front seat
The lady confidently opened the back seat and sat 
besides her husband on the other side
Her husband was in the middle of the two of them
She didn't like it and her countenance showed it
But her husband didn't even notice the change in 
her mood
The journey resumed but her husband's attention 
had shifted totally to the other lady
She was in the car but she felt more like the passenger!
When she came out of the vision
She became very troubled!
She told her husband immediately, he didn't say a word
He just turned on his other side and slept off
Three days later, she saw herself in the market 
buying ingredients to prepare her husband's 
favourite meal!
Just as she was about to pay
She saw another lady, dressed like her also carrying 
a basket and buying the same things 
she was buying
The lady said "I now know what "our" husband loves
and I will cook it better than you"
When she woke up, she didn't bother to tell her 
husband anything!
He would just get grumpy and become irritated 
by her action especially because he was on  
his annual leave and they were spending every day 
together in Dubai!
The third time, she dreamt that it was Sunday
They were returning home from church 
(She was driving because her husband was 
tired and taking a nap on the passenger side 
beside her in the front seat)
She got to a red light and stopped!
Another car stopped beside them
She looked at the driver and to her utter shock
it was the same lady she had seen in her dreams
Young, pretty, in her early thirties!
She didn't know what came over her
Was the lady an agent of darkness? 
Was she following them from the church?
Was her husband having an affair?
Had she been a fool all along?
The light changed!
She waited for the lady's car to move ahead
She drove right after her
Her husband didn't notice the change in route 
because he was fast asleep
She drove after the lady and followed her until she 
turned off the major highway
She tried to put together a logical plan of action
The most sensible thing to do was to turn the 
car around
But she couldn't do that
It would be unwise to leave a poisonous snake 
on one's roof and sleep off
But she had no concrete fact of a wrongdoing 
She wasn't even sure her husband knew the lady
Suddenly the car ahead of her parked, the lady 
came down and walked towards her
She waited until the lady got to her, then the 
lady opened 
the passenger door and woke her husband up
She just sat there and watched as the lady and 
her husband left the car and walked to the other car
She was still there when they drove away together
She couldn't talk, laugh or cry until they had vanished
into thin air!
When she woke up she was still panting
The dream was so real, so so real!
She met her husband at a wedding reception 
She was a young banker then and he was an engineer
They started slowly and eventually got married
He had always been faithful
He just didn't have the time for unnecessary 
money and time-wasting ventures
He was devoted to her and their children
She had never had one cause to worry
But her dreams, though rare, had always come true
For her, it was inevitable that she would lose 
her husband 
if she did not do something quickly
The next day she went to see her pastor
She told him everything!
He asked her if her husband had a track record of 
womanizing
She said no!
The pastor told her to relax and give herself some 
peace
She thanked the pastor and left
But she had been set off and couldn't take such 
a counsel
They attend an orthodox church and the pastors were
not spiritual enough!
The services were good for ordinary life issues but 
she needed the help of someone who is versed in 
spiritual stuff
She made inquiries until she was directed to a prophet
He was located on a mountain in a remote area very 
far away from the city
She waited until her husband resumed his leave
She chose a weekend and begged him to release 
her to go and spend some time with her aunt 
(The one taking her to the prophet's church)
She told her husband that her aunt was ill and 
needed attention
She set off on a Friday
Her husband kept calling her phone number
Throughout the weekend, the phone was switched off
By Monday morning, her husband went to her 
aunt's house
Nobody had seen the aunt too
Her husband reported the case to the police
A few days later, the police invited him to the station
They had found his wife and her aunty
They were both on the Prophet's mountain but in 
a trance
The prophet told the police that immediately they 
(She and her aunt)stepped on his mountain they 
were caught up in the "spirit"
The "trance" spiritual journey would last for 
between 7 days to 40 days depending on the whims 
and caprices of the spirit
Her husband didn't understand it
But he decided to wait until his wife was released by 
the spirit
The aunty came out of the trance after seven days 
and was successfully reunited with her family
Eventually, after forty days, she too came out of 
the trance
She returned home with her husband
But everything had changed!
She suddenly hated her husband, she didn't want 
to share the same
room with him, she didn't even want to see her children
She started acting like someone who was out of 
her senses
Her husband took her to the hospital
She was admitted twice and discharged after 
some treatment
One Monday morning, after her husband had 
gone off to work
She packed her bags and left
She went back to the prophet's mountain and 
became the prophet's wife number 23
Her husband didn't understand what had happened
How could his wife leave him, leave her children, 
leave civilization and move to a remote mountain 
to become a prophet's wife?
People told him she had been enchanted!
He didn't know how to set her free of the enchantment
It was a very tough time for the family
One of their children, his first son, got badly 
affected by the whole thing
He attempted suicide and was saved only by chance
The hospital they rushed him to had a very good 
psychiatrist
The psychiatrist helped his son tremendously
After his son was discharged from the hospital
He invited the psychiatrist to his home to meet with 
the other children
The psychiatrist was in her early forties and had never 
been married
One thing led to the other
Three tears after his wife left, he married the 
psychiatrist!
The psychiatrist got pregnant and delivered a baby girl
Six years later, the prophet died 
She returned home with her family members
They wanted him to take her back
She had nowhere else to go!
His children and the psychiatrist also begged
She looked worse for wear, malnourished and abused
He pitied her and decided to help her
He rented an apartment for her and furnished it
He provided her with a monthly allowance
But he didn't remarry her

She came to the Brother in Jeans and T-shirt with
her story
She was accompanied by two of her children
She didn't understand why her dreams aided 
the failure
of her marriage instead of preventing it
She didn't understand how everything went wrong
(She said from the moment she stepped on the
prophet's mountain until he died, she couldn't
explain or account for her own actions!
Everything was just a daze and a blur)
It was as if her dream was a snare rather than 
a warning
He told her about the dream casters
He told her he had seen many destinies destroyed
or misled by dreams
Many destinies got attacked in the dream
and their physical reality was altered forever!
Dreams are a suggestion, they are not a certainty!
If you like it, you can speak it into reality
If you don't like it, you can speak it into oblivion
You must not keep quiet!
Pray, decree, demand, petition and command
By the words of your mouth, you will frame your
own reality
You are your own prophet!
